This bull has got a lot going for it. However, considering that it is a product from Fun Factory, I am a bit dissapointed in the quality. It is still a solid vibe with a unique shape. I just expected more for the price.

Pros
Lovely shape, Provides some g-spot stimulation, Lots of different levels of vibrations
Cons
Not the best quality coming from Fun Factory, Dial base, Not waterproof, Material is slightly tacky
When I did my first sex toy party, I made sure to buy one of these because the girl who was hosting it, loves the color orange. She ended up going for a completely different toy and lucky me, I ended up with this. I always loved the shape, but hadn't been drawn to purchase it. Thanks to her choosing something else on Eden, I got to try this bull out. It is part of the Astrovibes collection. There is an appropriate vibrator for each astrological sign. Taurus has a bull shaped head and lovely curves. To be honest, it's kind of a second rate FunFactory toy, but it still has nice silicone and pretty solid construction. It is controlled by a dial and only has a few moderate speeds. So, this toy is not for those who are power hungry. It is however great for beginners who want an easy toy to operate, high quality materials, and uniquely textured design. I'm not a Taurus, but even Leos can like this toy.
The silicone Fun Factory uses is notoriously really nice. This vibrator is older than a lot of the toys in their collection and that might be the reason that its silicone feels a bit different. It's still nice and smooth, but it is less velvety than it usually is and a bit more tacky. With lubricant that fixes the problem. However, it does collect lint and hair fairly easily. The silicone is firm yet flexible enough to allow for some give and bending at the head.
Silicone is an excellent material. It is very resilient and does not give off any harmful fumes. It's safe for the body by being non-porous, latex and phthalates free, and hypo-allergenic. It has a slight smell that has not gone away with washing, but you really need to put your nose up to it.
Taurus is a bull and so this vibrator has that design incorporated into it. The top of the vibrator is shaped like a bull's head, horns and all. It's very pretty! I love the vibrant orange color, as well. I don't normally like orange, actually.
The vibrator is moderate in size and overall shape, minus the bull. It has a nicely rounded tip and gradually gets wider. It is about 7 1/2" in total length, 6 1/2" of that being insertable. The head of the bull is about 4 1/2" around. The eyes, cheeks, and nose are pronounced but fine details are left out. The head takes up the first third of the toy, 2 1/2", and it dips in just a bit to create a great shape for g-spot stimulation. The lovely, curved horns on the top of the head travel 3 1/2" down the vibrator providing texture. Right below the base of the horns, it is 4 3/4" in circumference. The largest part is right at the end of the insertable length. This part is 5 1/8" around.
The bottom is the battery cap. Is is made of plastic and unscrews from the bottom of the toy. When you twist it, it will unlock so two AA batteries can easily slide in. The control for the power is a dial base that moves a bit too easily to turn itself on, but after that it has the right amount of resistance.
The design is fairly traditional since it has a torpedo shape. Because of this, I'd say this vibrator is not very discreet. It also is not small enough to fit in most purses. it would not take up much space or add much weight to a suitcase, though.
This toy is unlike other Fun Factory toys I own or have seen. This line is controlled by a dial instead of buttons. The dial turns a bit too easily at first causing the toy to sometimes turn on by itself. For this reason, I suggest storing it without the batteries. It is easy to turn though. There are fine ridges on the dial.
The dial slowly turns and this slowly increases the vibration. I can't discern any set vibration levels. It truly is invariable.
The vibrations are strongest about a third of the way down where the toy is no longer able to flex and bend. The vibrations start off being quiet and weak, but quickly raise to a high level when the dial is turned about half of the way. This level is louder and if not inside the body might be heard through a thin door. The power is probably strong enough for most women. If not, cranking it up all the way will reach a very high level of vibration that travels throughout the entire toy. At this level the vibrations are a little buzzy, but only when it is being used externally.
Unlike most of Fun Factory's toys, this one is NOT waterproof. I'd say it is splash proof, but don't take it in the shower or tub.
The packaging says to not use silicone lubricant. This can gum up the material. Using a water based lube is great. A sample of one is even included with the toy. Since the toy does collect a bit of lint, I would rinse it before use. Silicone can be sterilized, but this toy cannot be due to the plastic parts of the toy.
Cleaning it takes a bit of extra care. I usually have to wash this with a soft bristled brush of washcloth to get in all the crack of the bull's head. Let it dry before putting it away and remember to remove the batteries. I would store it in the plastic shell it comes in or away from direct sunlight.
Taurus comes encased in a plastic shell that slides inside of a cardboard box. The cardboard box is rather generic and is probably the box for all of the AstroVibes line.It is good for storage and very informative, but it does take up more space than is necessary. Included are detailed product instructions and a sample packet of lubricant.
Because of the novelty of having one for every astrological sign, this would make a good gift for pretty much any vibrator lover no matter what their experience level is.
When I use a vibrator, it usually spends more time on my clit than it does inside of me, unless it is a rabbit style vibrator. That is not the case for this vibrator. I love the texture and design of the Taurus's body. It is easy to insert and the bull's head does provide g-spot stimulation if it is angled the correct way. I was unable to finish with a g-spot orgasm but it did really arouse me in that way. It makes g-spot orgasms with my partner even easier if he uses this on me before hand. I also enjoy using it on my clit. I'm able to finish with the middle vibration levels, no problem. I think the thickness is adequate and so is the length. I just wish it was anal safe! I don't love the dial controls, but it's not that big of a deal. If you like unusual shapes out of silicone, I totally recommend Taurus whether or not it is your sign.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore5 months after original review
I don't use the Astrovibes Taurus anymore due to the fact that the vibes are not strong enough for me. I'd rather use a different uniquely shaped toy with more power that is easier to clean. The grooves in this toy make it take more time to clean because grim can get stuck in there. I don't always have time for that, so this toy is collecting dust.
