Say No To Pomona!
I really dislike this toy. It's loud, it's buzzy, there's no variation and it's not fun at all. This clitoral stimulator doesn't stimulate or excite in the least.

Dr. Laura Berman Pomona by California Exotic Novelties is a lavender-colored TPR and plastic clitoral stimulator. It's made of a food-grade material, is hypo-allergenic, latex-free and phthalates-free earning it a seven out of ten on Eden's Material Safety Guide. It's not meant for vaginal insertion and while it's wide enough for anal, it's not recommended. It could easily be run along the erogenous zones for foreplay, but the buzzing is loud and might not arouse someone the way it should.
Dr. Laura Berman Pomona is shaped similarly to a computer mouse, but with a thinner tip. It's hard plastic on top and bottom with the push button, the point of the tip on bottom and the pad on bottom being made of TPR. It runs on 2 AAA batteries that are inserted on the lower left-hand side of the toy.
It's ergonomically-shaped to fit in the palm of your hand with a simple push button control right in the center. It's very easy to use by pushing the button once to turn it on low, pushing the button again to turn it on high and one last push turns it off. It's not easily bumped so the setting won't be accidentally switched during use. The actual button is loud and clicks when pushed, which is a terrible distraction for me.
As far as the vibration goes, there's hardly a difference between the low and high settings. I'd honestly consider both of them to be a medium speed. There is no pattern or pulsation in the vibration of this toy and it's very loud and buzzy, comparable to an electric shaver.
There is no discernible taste associated with this toy, however, it has a rather strong plastic scent that is a little overwhelming right off the bat. It does fade after a couple washes and after about six washes it's completely scent-free.
Cleaning of this toy is pretty simple. It can't be sterilized, but washing it in warm water with anti-bacterial soap or wiping it clean with an isopropyl rubbing alcohol wipe or toy cleaner wipe will do it just fine. Wipe dry with a lint-free towel or let it air dry and store in any cool, dry place where toys are stored.
While plastic is compatible with water, silicone and oil-based lubricants, TPR is only compatible with water and silicone-based lubricants so steer clear of oil-based lubes when playing with this toy to make it last as long as possible.
Packaging of this toy is pretty minimal. It comes in a clear plastic container that opens at the top with a cardboard insert telling a little bit about care and maintenance of this toy. It also directs the user to the company website for product registration and warranty information. Because the package can be resealed, it's handy for storage purposes but is completely recyclable if you'd rather toss it.

Experience
This isn't a fun toy at all. It's loud and buzzy and that really takes away from any of the good that could come from this. If I could have gotten past the noise, I might have had a shot at getting off with this toy but it never happened. I need discretion in the noise level of my toys and I was too paranoid that people would hear me with this to ever enjoy myself. I was very disappointed with this toy!
Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
I trashed this toy. It's loud and buzzy which doesn't work in my living situation and the lack of variation is just boring. It's probably the least exciting toy that I've ever owned. I would not recommend this to anyone, ever.

Thanks for the review and warning on the vibrations. I would have expected more patterns.
