Sassy Pink - Pink's Packin' a Punch!

I have mixed feelings about this toy. I am not fully disappointed, but I don't feel like it's that incredible for the price. If you were to come across this toy on sale I'd say go for it, but if not you could probably find one just as powerful that would work in water.

Use

Topco's Sassy Pink is quickly growing more and more on me. When I first received it I was actually pretty disappointed. But, once I got it working I found that it is a pretty nice little toy. It can be used in several ways but it does have its limitations.

The Sassy Pink is a bullet/egg type vibrator which is controlled via the control pack which is attached to the bullet by a pretty durable cord. It is a clitoral type vibrator and is best used to externally stimulate all areas of the body, whether it be your body or a partner's. This toy could be used vaginally; however, the egg is attached to the control pack with a cord, and there is a possibility of breakage. I wouldn't recommend using this toy for any internal use--vaginally or anally, especially numerous times or if you are a bit rough with your toys. The Sassy Pink works great for solo use especially when you want quick results. It is also magnificent for couples as well. There are so many patterns and places to explore using this little bullet. Either you or your partner can take the control pack and cycle through all of the seven lovely patterns and let your partner enjoy the sensations.

Material / Texture

Topco Sale's Sassy Pink is made from a coated hard plastic which I absolutely love the feel of. In fact, upon arrival I couldn't stop running my fingers over the control pack and egg. They are both oh so silky smooth! Upon first inspection of the toy I noticed that the battery pack and inside of the toy, where the battery pack is loaded into, smells just like an electrical manufactured item might. But, nothing too intense. Plus, I don't imagine most anyone sticking their nose that near the battery compartment while in use.

Plastic toys can typically be used with any type of lubricant, however the Sassy Pink seems to be a coated hard plastic toy, and it is not specified what it coated with exactly I would recommend using water-based lube to be on the safe side.

I believe almost anyone would love the way this toy feels both in your hand and other more exciting areas. It has a nice warm matte finish which feels better than typical, cold, and unforgiving plastic in my opinion. The overall feel of the toy is great for anyone whether you're a beginner or advanced user. The toys finish gives it a more slight "drag" sensation that you don't typically get with similar toys that are not coated. The smooth, matte, and firm bullet feels incredible as you run it along your most sensitive spots. This velvety smooth coated plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on Eden Fantasy's material safety scale. However, there seems to be a bit of a large seem running horizontally across the egg part of the toy. This takes away from the cleanliness of the toy use after use since bacteria and germs can hide in little crevices. It seems to me that if you don't clean this part after each use, especially for multiple partners or with lubricant(cleaning or a condom is a must) it could get pretty icky pretty quickly.

Design / Shape / Size

The Sassy Pink has a unique and cute look about it. It features two silver touch operated controls that resemble the yin and yang symbol which is pretty unique. Its bullet and control pack are both a soft light pink, while the two touch operated controls on the pack and the base of the pack are a silvery color. The control pack is about 4 inches long, and 2 inches wide at its widest point. The bullet is about 2 inches long and about 1 inch wide, with the cord being approximately 2 and a half feet long.

It has the standard bullet/control pack look, so it's fairly obvious to others what this item is. It is not very large nor heavy so it could be stuffed in a drawer, purse, traveling bag, etc. The "on" button is located at the very base of the control pack, and is difficult to depress, so you can be pretty sure it wont just magically turn on in your purse. This is a strong plus for me, since this toy is pretty freaking loud. But, if you are worried about that happening you can just slide the small battery pack out and insert it back in at a later time.

My biggest problem is with the battery pack. It seems to take quite a lot of force to slide the battery pack out, and not only that, the batteries themselves are hard to get correctly into place as it seems they don't quite fit right! I had tried numerous things to force those suckers in, and ended up resorting to "helping" them in by means of a hammer. The good news is the batteries are in and the battery compartment is durable, apparently. The bad news is I had to use much more force than should be required of a person to simply insert batteries! Not to mention the fact that you cannot stand this toy straight up, as the base is not flat, and the "on" button protrudes slightly. It is also noteworthy to include that this toy did not come with instructions, so figuring out how to open and insert batteries on the first attempt was a bit more challenging than necessary.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I really like the idea of a touch operated waterproof toy such as this. However, I think that this toy isn't quite up to par in either department. The Sassy Pink has very sassy touch operated controls indeed! They seem very moody every time I try to use this toy. I could seemingly hover my finger over the controls and it would vibrate, and other times I could poke them repeatedly with a fair amount of pressure and nothing would happen! This only amplified once in the shower. This toy claims to be waterproof, but in my opinion it shouldn't really be labeled as such. Each time I have taken this toy along with me in the shower it refuses to cycle through any of the vibrations (even the first one) if a fairly small amount of water is on either the control or your fingers. But, it still functions perfectly fine after the shower and after it is dry. But, a waterproof toy that wont cycle through vibration patterns in the shower really disappoints me.

This toy features two silver touch operated controls that resemble the yin and yang symbol. Upon first glance and use of the Sassy Pink, I was fully expecting both the silver controls to operate this toy in some way, however I quickly learned that only the top control worked for me. I do not know if the bottom control was simply added for aesthetic purposes, or if the one I received was somewhat broken. The Sassy Pink has an on/off button at the very bottom of the silver base/battery compartment. This button is black and smooth as well as being fairly hard to press in, which is a plus for me. I would not want my toys to accidentally turn off or on during inopportune moments. When the on button is pressed a small yet bright red light is illuminated to signify that the toy is "on" but it does not vibrate until you touch the top control.

The one functioning button cycles through all of the different patterns until it gets to the end and all vibrations stop while the toy is still on, and if pressed once more it will start from the beginning pattern again. The small red light under the yin and yang touch controls lights up and blinks along with the different patterns the toy has to offer, which i thought was a nice detailed touch. The Sassy Pink has a grand total of 7 different vibration patterns.

1) The first pattern is a strong and steady continuous vibration, which I find to be be absolutely necessary with any vibrator. But, this pattern can give someone a serious case of "itchy fingers."

2) The second pattern consists of short fast paced pulsating vibrations, which is always one of my favorites!

3) This pattern starts off with several short but fast paced vibrations, followed by a low level intensity vibration, which then escalates to a higher level intensity, and then repeats.

4) This pattern consists of a low, medium, and high long vibration pulsations which escalate and change to shorter, fast paced vibrations. It then switches to even shorter and more fast paced pulsations like in pattern #2 after each of the low, medium, and high long pulsations.

5) The fifth pattern starts off with a "high" intensity steady vibration, that decreases to a medium level intensity steady vibration, to a low level intensity vibration. It then goes back to medium level intensity, and finally back to high, and repeats the pattern.

6) This pattern seems to start out with a few short vibrations that "stutter" followed by one long vibration, this repeats a few times then is followed by several long vibrations. And, the entire pattern repeats again.

7) The final pattern starts off with short stuttering vibrations like patter #5 did, but then changes to a simply high intensity steady vibration, and then repeats.

Care and Maintenance

The Sassy Pink is fairly easy to take care of and clean if it is only being used on/in a small amount of people. If you plan on sharing this toy with several people then more measures to keep it as clean as possible should be taken. I would personally recommend plain soap and water for average use between two people. But, for more partners I would highly recommend using a condom with this toy, since it is a coated plastic. This toy did not come with an informational/instruction booklet or paper, so I am unsure what the Sassy Pink is coated with, and because of this I would either test a small area of the control pack with a 10% bleach solution or alcohol before using it on the entire toy, as it could possibly damage the toy. I would definitely not recommend boiling or this toy. I would say the same principle applies to lubricants as well. To be on the safe side I would recommend water-based lube, but if you would like to use silicone lube then I suggest first testing a small area of the control pack to ensure little to no damage is done to the Sassy Pink.

This toy is not extremely bulky or heavy and can be stored in almost anything, which I really love about it. I personally would not chose to store it in its original packaging since that is more bulky than the toy and would make it harder to tuck away and hard to put it in or take it out of the packaging easily.

Packaging

I previously thought that including information about that package in which toys came in was pointless, but with the Sassy Pink I feel like it is necessary to point out a few things. The package itself doesn't depict any naked ladies or men, and you can readily see the entire toy in the package. Upon first glance it is obvious what is in this clear plastic casing. So, if you planned on giving this as a gift, you should wait to give it to your partner when their family or friends aren't near. This toy also did not come with an information or instruction paper/pamphlet of any kind, which was a huge drawback for me.

Follow-up commentary
I actually really enjoyed this toy-- when it worked that is. But, it's always so difficult just to get it working at all.

The batteries finally fizzled out sometime recently, after a fairly long life-span in this toy, and I had to change them. However, no matter how I put the new batteries in, or how I replaced the battery pack, the Sassy Pink wouldn't start up! I tried many different batteries as well, thinking I just had a bad batch. But, no such luck.

All in all, if you want a toy that's powerful when (or if) it works, but is very very unreliable in most ways, then go for it.
