Ribbed for your Pleasure..
Lots of functions, rumbly vibrations and a gently ribbed shaft are what ultimately made this work for me. While there was no G-spot stimulation to speak of, the strong and rumbly vibrations throughout the shaft and clitoral attachment saved this. Not one for those who need longer clitoral attachments though.
Published:
Pros
Many functions, deep & reasonably strong vibrations, handy finger loop, stimulating ribbed shaft.
Cons
No real G-spot stimulation, clitoral attachment will be too short for some.
While I wouldn’t usually be keen to add a baby pink or smiley faced toy to my collection: having only had good experiences with the Fun Factory G4 range, I was convinced that the Paul and Paulina vibrator would make a welcome addition to my collection despite its appearance.
Having experienced the material quality and function of several other G4 vibes, this was all about the function and basing this addition on something else than that initial attraction to a toys appearance. Even after years of collecting and reviewing toys I can still find myself sucked into buying visually pleasingly yet mediocre toys while overlooking anything that varies too much from my taste visually.
The Paul and Paulina was going to be different, a slow burn. It managed to sit untouched for a few days before testing would commence, darn lack of visual appeal keeping me from my usual rush to experience a new toy.
Packaging:
The Paul and Paulina vibrator arrives in relatively simple packaging. The gold coloured box which houses the vibe is covered with a pull away sleeve which features a pretty accurately sized image of the toy. The side of this sleeve mentions that the Paul and Paulina is charged with the Fun Factory Click ‘N’ Charge magnetic charger which is often sold separately.
The gold box inside this sleeve is actually quite plain and looks like a gift box. Inside, the vibrator sits loose. Included is an information leaflet which explains the charging and controls aswell as its functions, although this leaflet uses drawings rather than written instructions which can get confusing, making it hard to confidently get to grips with the toys controls. This is something that I’ve experienced with other Fun Factory toys too so I know from experience that having an experimental play around with the controls is often the only way of getting around these lacking instructions.
First Impression:
Shaped like a friendly caterpillar and available in either pink or purple, the pink is quite a feminine looking bubblegum shade of pink. The caterpillar shape gives the shaft a ribbed or bubbley texture and the head of the caterpillar is curved so that it points towards the G-spot. The silicone used has a velvet finish which is soft with some drag but not too much. Feeling it my hands I found it slightly more flexible than I had expected which should help make it more comfortable when inserted, though this may reduce its effectiveness as a G-spot stim.
The looped handle of the vibrator is very easy to hold and several fingers can be inserted in it at once. It is far enough from the shaft of the toy that lube shouldn’t drip onto it and it feels comfortable to hold tightly and thrust with.
Controls/Charging:
It is recommended that the Paul and Paulina be given an extra long charge on its first charge, though it does arrive with some charge in it which means you can both assure that it works and play around with its functions first. I got tempted and played with mine before sticking it on for its first charge and the result was it of course cutting out at a most critical moment! So I would recommend sticking to the general advice and charging before your first play with it.
When charging, the red light on the Click ‘N’ Charge charger will light up and stay lit up until fully charged. The first charge took several hours for me though this was after running it down to nothing.
To switch on, a single press of the + button will bring the vibrator to life and each additional press will bring it up to a higher level of vibration. Pressing the * (function) button will bring it through several pulsing and escalating modes.
In Use/Experience:
Wetting the head of the caterpillar and using it clitorally, it proved to be an unusual but pleasantly different shape which worked well for getting vibrations directly on the clit. Placing the ‘caterpillar face down’ or sideways on the clit worked equally well and each provided a different sensation. The vibrations of the Paul and Paulina can be easily felt in both the head and lower down the shaft and they feel teasingly deep and rumbly rather than buzzy or shallow.
Measurements:
Total Length: 9 Inches
Insertable Length: 4 ½ Inches
Length of Clitoral Attachment: 1 ½ Inches
Circumference of Shaft: 4 to 5 Inches

Experience
...
Inserting the slim head of the vibrator is easy and the flexible shaft makes its straight shape comfortable as it bends slightly with your body. The girth of the shaft feels slim especially as it tapers down towards the head, but the ribbed texture stimulates and makes up for its lack of real girth. The curved head of the caterpillar didn’t particularly do much for my G-spot despite spending some time trying to angle it right. While some may have better luck than me, I still can’t see anyone achieving great pressure on the G-spot as the mix of flexible shape with the G-spot missing curve will make this difficult.
Just using the Paul and Paulina as a thrusting internal vibrator was stimulating thanks to its ribbed belly. Once able to take it full length I found its clitoral stim provided an adequate amount of pressure to my clitoris. Women who need long rabbit ears to reach the clitoris will likely find this stops to short of the mark but if like me you are lucky enough to have your clit closer; then you have Paul and Paulina friendly anatomy.
Running through all the different levels of vibration and types of pulsing mode was easy to do with just three simple buttons and a nice distance between the insertable portion of the toy and the controls. The handy loop of the handle was something that I really appreciated when thrusting particularly hard to enjoy the ribbed texture.
Material/Care:
Made of silicone, the Paul and Paulina vibrator is scent and taste free. Skin–safe and free from phthalates and latex. I would recommend using a water based lube with it and washing it with either specialised toy cleaner or soap and warm water. It is listed as being waterproof which makes proper cleaning easier. No storage pouch is provided but it can be stored in its original packaging or a zip-sealed bag to help keep it clean and dust free in between uses. Like most silicone toys it can attract dust and lint.

Thanks for the excellent review. Love the pictures. In the first pic, the pink leaves in your pajamas matches the vibes color almost perfectly. Did you do that on purpose?

Great, informative review. It seems like every reviewer has a different experience with this toy. I love this one, though I wish it had two motors. It's a good thing the one is so rumbly and deep!
