Red but not ready!
Overall a decent waterproof toy, but not something to get terribly excited about. It is a good value for its price, but it lacks in the features and attention to detail that make other more expensive toys that much better.

Pros
Inexpensive, waterproof, colorful.
Cons
Bumps are uncomfortable, hard plastic, not the best.
I was initially drawn to the Waterproof Turbo Sliders Red Scoop because it looked like an intriguing and simple toy--a waterproof vibrator with a ridged side and a bumpy side. The toy takes AAA batteries rather than the more standard AA's so I had to go out and buy a couple (just in case it arrived dead) but I eagerly anticipated its arrival.
The first thing I noticed upon taking the toy out of its package was that the knob for turning the toy on (and increasing its intensity) was pretty much stuck in place. It took me a good couple of minutes of simply move it—and even now when I go to use the toy it still feels a little stuck at first. While this could have simply been my particular model, I do have a lot of toys in my collection and have never had this problem with another vibrator.
As for the toy’s actual functions the knob is supposed to gradually increase the vibrations but it’s ‘range’ is pretty minimal - essentially there is ‘on’ and ‘more on.’ While some toys with a gradual control actually provide some variability, these controls are pretty limited. On the other hand the vibrations coming from the toy are pretty pleasing and relatively strong for an otherwise smaller sized toy.
The one thing I was eager about initially trying out was that the Red Scoop has a slightly bumpy side and a side with ridges. The ridged side was excellent providing just enough friction (especially since the toy’s hard plastic provides plenty of leverage), but the bumpy side is just a little too bumpy and to me at least felt uncomfortable. The raised nubs are also extremely good at collecting just about anything that goes on the toy so keeping it clean can be a little more difficult than my other vibrators.
In general, while the Red Scoop does provide a simple waterproof vibrator it is not quite what I was hoping for. The toys construction leaves a little to be desired, and the range of possibilities that I had hoped for from this toy were limited by its features and comfort. While I do occasionally pull out this little red toy, it’s not a vibrator that’s quite ready for use in my more regular rotation.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I have reached for this toy a few times since reviewing it and every time I am reminded why it is not my favorite part of my toy box. The bumps are still uncomfortable for stimulation (though the ridged side works just fine for what I like) and the knob to control vibrations still sticks even after repeated uses which can be more than a little annoying if you try turning it too hard and just end up opening the battery compartment instead of turning it on. I was hoping that at least the stickiness issue would resolve since the texture thing is more just a personal preference, but since it hasn't I imagine this toy will remain pretty neglected.
