When I last went vibrator shopping, I knew I wanted a rechargeable rabbit. The rechargeable Jack Rabbit is all that and more. It's an orgasm machine in a sleek black silicone package and my new favorite toy.

Pros
- Varied vibration strengths and patterns - Great stimulation inside and out - Rechargeable
I love penetration, but like many ladies I need clitoral stimulation too. The Black Label Jack Rabbit by Cal Exotics delivers in both areas. This rechargeable silicone rabbit vibrator is designed for vaginal penetration, with the shaft stimulating the vaginal area and the bunny's ears tickling your clit. I wouldn't use it any other way, although if you want to get creative it is probably safe for anal use.
The Jack Rabbit has three separate motors, two that rotate and vibrate the shaft and another that vibrates the bunny. The shaft and the bunny have separate controls, so I can get a nice low g-spot buzz with a stronger clitoral vibration or vice versa. With both the shaft and the bunny moving, I barely have to do anything except ride it out to get a great orgasm. The shaft is pretty thick, definitely not intended for beginners, but anyone comfortable with the 1.75" diameter should love it. It's curved at the end to hit your g-spot and has a nice little bump in the shaft toward the base so you can really feel it at the vaginal entrance, where most of the nerve endings are.
The Jack Rabbit isn't designed for couples and I'd actually say it might be too powerful for foreplay, but if you're looking to give someone a good orgasm, this is your bunny.
The Jack Rabbit's shaft and bunny are 100% matte black silicone, with a plastic control panel at the base. It gives a little if you squeeze it, but it's firm enough to provide g-spot pressure. There are grooves on the silicone but they affect the appearance more than the feel of the toy. Like a lot of silicone toys, the Jack Rabbit drags against the skin, but a little lube goes a long way - just make sure you don't use a silicone based lube as that can degrade the material.
When I opened the package, I noticed it had a rubbery scent right away. The smell is still there but it's faded with a few washings and there's no discernible taste.
I love the design of this toy. It's just the right size and shape for the bunny to hit my clit when it's inserted, but by some magic if I angle it so just the tip of the shaft is inside me I still get that clitoral buzz. The matte black is sexy and the controls are easy to use. It's a little on the large size at 1.75" in diameter so if you're looking for a more advanced rabbit, check the Jack Rabbit out.
The one disadvantage to its size and shape is it is not discreet at all. With the base, it's 10" long and about 3" across and the toy specs say it weighs in at .75 lbs. I've been storing it in the plastic insert it came packaged in which takes up even more room. The Jack Rabbit doesn't have a travel lock to prevent it from accidentally turning on, but I wouldn't recommend traveling with it for reasons of size alone.
The control panel at the base of the Jack Rabbit has four buttons - power, vibe, and up and down arrows. The power button turns the vibrator on or off but doesn't start any motors. It also acts as a "kill switch" if you want to turn everything off all at once. Once the power is on the other three buttons control the different motors. The up and down arrows control the three different vibration levels in the shaft while the vibe button cycles through the seven patterns on the rabbit extension.
I love that the controls for the shaft and the bunny are separate. With the way they're laid out, arrows on one end and vibe button on the other, it's easy to figure out which is which without looking. The dynamic range between the low and high settings in both the shaft and the bunny is pretty good. The bunny especially goes from gentle to intense. The vibration patterns are varied (low, medium, high, and four different pulses) so whether you like to mix it up or you're looking for the perfect pattern, there's lots to choose from.
With all three motors going, especially on the high settings, the Jack Rabbit can get a little noisy. It won't bother your neighbor in the next apartment over, but in a quiet dorm with thin walls someone might hear some buzzing.
This Jack Rabbit is rechargeable and it's rated for 1.5-3 hours of play time depending on how high you run the motors. Mine came fully charged, a nice touch, and I haven't managed to run the battery down yet with how fast it makes me come.
The Jack Rabbit is waterproof, but I haven't had a chance to try it in water yet.
Silicone is non-porous which makes it a cinch to clean, especially since the Jack Rabbit is waterproof. Make sure the port for the charger is covered and you can wash it with soap and water or toy cleaner. To disinfect it - necessary if you are sharing toys with someone - wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution or isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). If you use bleach, make sure to rinse your toy thoroughly before using it again. Don't use boiling water or your dishwasher to disinfect the Jack Rabbit, the electronics will get damaged.
Any water based lubricant will work with this vibrator but stay away from silicone lubes as this can damage the material. Silicone toys should be stored separately from each other, preferably wrapped in cloth (or kept in its box) to protect against damage.
The box for this vibrator is clearly labeled with its name (rechargeable black label Jack Rabbit) and large pictures on the front and side of the vibrator itself. It did not come with instructions but the back of the box does have a list of features in five languages and icons showing it's pure silicone and waterproof. It is not discreet at all but like all Edenfantasys shipments it was mailed in a very discreet brown shipping box.
Inside the box is a plastic insert with a cover and spots for the vibrator and its included charger. I've been storing mine in this plastic insert, but it does take up a lot of space.
I love using vibrators but I've never used one that works for me like the Jack Rabbit does. If I'm trying to orgasm quickly I'd say it takes on average 90 seconds with this thing, and it's usually a good one too. I have to work to draw it out and it's worth it when I do. The lower settings are a great tease and it ramps up high when I want it to. If it weren't so bulky, I'd take it with me everywhere.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it3 months after original review
I finally got a chance to try my jack rabbit out in the bathtub. It is as waterproof as it claims it is; it worked fine in the tub, and afterwards, it still works just as well as ever. However, I found that the water dampened the clitoral bunny's vibrations quite a bit, and I just couldn't get the friction I wanted. It is definitely possible to use this as a bath-time toy if you enjoy that, but I'll stick to using it on dry land for now.
