The Bliss Egg has been great for both my partner and I as both a clitoral and vaginal stimulator. We can both get it settled externally in a way such that it becomes hands-free (either while in underwear/clothes or with the right leg position) and it has made the four hour drive to Vegas newly delightful. It's been great in the car, in bed, in the bath, and while sitting around the house, even light walking (say, to the gas pump?) has taken on some new layers of enjoyment. It plays well with lube and an additional insertable toy.

The coating over the plastic is smooth and without seams. It does, however, have some drag to it, so it holds lube well and doesn't get so slippery that it can't be handled. The retrieval string is just uncoated cotton/nylon string, so it's important to pay attention to getting it clean clean clean. The toy is FULLY submersible though, so that hasn't been an issue. I don't remember there being an initial odor to the material, but it does seem to hang on to odors from the body more easily than the other toys we've owned. Toy cleaner seems to take care of that completely though.

The toy also gets HOT. Not miserably so, but hotter than most other toys I've used. Certainly not hot enough to burn, but if you're sensitive to/irritated by a warm toy, this one's probably not for you. There's obviously quite a large motor in the egg and not much open space around it, so I expected the warmth. Sometimes it's the price you have to pay for strong vibrations.

One of the other major cons of the toy is an issue in materials, I believe, due to the heat of the motor. There are very faint brown discolorations on the parts of the egg where it feels like the motor is closest to the plastic. This happened after the first use (which lasted about two hours) and was really, really disappointing as we'd spent a significant amount of money on it. The spots have not changed over time, nor has there been any change in texture or color. There has been no degradation of power or performance. I've seen it happen with other ABS toys, but it's still a massive con. Neither of our genitals have complained about the discoloration, however, so it's not entirely a deal breaker.

The egg is well sized, with some weight to it. It's a little larger than is totally comfortable for my vagina, but it fits my partner perfectly, making her feel nice and full because of the flare of the egg shape. There is a similar issue when it comes to clitoral stimulation. Neither of us have an issue nestling it against our clits, but I have seen complaints that it's too large and can be irritating to rest between the labia. Neither of us has had this issue at all, though, so it's all about anatomy and finding sizes and styles that work for what you're rocking in your undies.

The toy itself can fit discreetly in underwear against the clit and makes car travel an absolute delight. I drive and jockey the remote, my partner's the happy passenger. This has made this expensive toy WELL worth the investment. The base/charger on the other hand is not at all fun to lug around. The cord detaches from the base, which is helpful, but the base is still clunky. Cute, subtle heart shape that I don't even mock too much.

The vibrations are strong and spread out from the center of the egg without diffusing at all, giving a nice, full feeling of vibration. The patterns are fun and are more varied than even our Lelo Liv. The highest setting is really quite strong, comparable to the Liv I'd say (We're not talking Hitachis here, so strong for this style) and stronger than any other egg/bullet I've tried. Medium decreases by about a third in strength, and low is about half of what the medium setting is. Though the patterns are great, they cannot be increased in power, which is a bummer but not at all a deal breaker.

The remote is fine, but just fine. It's a discreet size but still comfortable enough to hold with a simple two button operation. There is a power button and another to cycle through the vibration modes. The remote is neither rechargeable nor waterproof, and the markings on the button rubbed off in the first hour of use. It takes an unusual but not rare battery size (A23), but they do include one in the box. We have used this toy for a total of maybe 12 to 14 hours and we're already on the fourth battery, so have lots and lots of spares. Worse yet, as soon as the battery starts to go, you will lose functionality in the remote. The buttons simply stop responding. This has absolutely been the most obnoxious con of the toy. What fun is a rechargeable with a long life if the remote dies before the toy?!

The egg is 100% waterproof. There are no seams or openings on it at all and it's spent at least 3 hours of its life completely submerged with absolutely no issue. It even bobs happily to the surface if it gets loose in the tub! The remote is not at all waterproof though, so it's best to leave it in the hands of a dry partner with a penchant for teasing.

Fully submersible, so drop it in warm water and soap up. We don't do anything unusual to clean it except let it soak in a warm, soapy solution to make sure that nylon/cotton string gets squeaky clean.

We have the Bliss in a drawer, the egg chilling in its unplugged base, then we just move it out of the drawer to give it a charge. The base is clunky, but survivable.

The final con is that it charges incredibly slowly. Overnight+ easily, if it's been drained. It lasts a long, long time (4-6 hours of actual use depending on how frequently you're playing with the settings) but that charge time is a KILLER.

The package is small but not discreet if that's something you worry about. There are no half-naked women on the box, which was a nice change for Cal Exotics, but there are several images of the toy, so you can tell exactly what it is. We never save our packaging, but this one seemed like it might be okay for storage if you're just looking for something to keep its pieces together. The instructions were fine. It came with a battery for the remote which is always excellent.

The strangest thing was that it comes with a standard European plug, rather than a North American one. An adapter came with it too, but it was a complete surprise and befuddled even the brightest sex shop employee when we asked her to charge it for us so we could test the vibrations. Not at all an issue, but be prepared to think there's been an error!

I spent a lot of time considering whether I'd recommend this toy to other people. There are really only three cons, but they are pretty large cons! I think, ultimately, had I known what was to come with the remote, the long charge, and the heat/discoloration, I wouldn't have bought the Bliss, but since I have it and it was an investment, I'm not planning to abandon it any time soon. Be cautious when purchasing, read the reviews on similar products so you can make an informed selection, and keep in mind the size of the egg/bullet you like best for your anatomy.
