Pretty in Pink

Bliss is a good toy for any beginners ready for something a little more advanced. Her graduated curves, push button control, and over all non-threatening appearance make her an excellent introduction to not-so-traditionally-shaped vibrators. She's powerful, but not overly so, and quiet. Soft and flexible. Her surface provides a bit of drag. Her packaging is adorable. And you can take her anywhere, including your bathtub.

Use

Labia and g-spot stimulation are just two of Bliss's uses. She can also be used for direct clitoral or erogenous stimulation. Her length makes her perfect for use on both yourself and your partner simultaneously during intercourse in almost any position. Take her in the shower or bath with you. Or just curl up with her by yourself.

Bliss may require lube and/or warm-up for some lesser experienced toy users, due to the amount of drag she provides. But other than that, she's an excellent transition for any beginners looking for a not-so-traditionally-shaped vibrator and perfect for experienced users.

Material / Texture

Bliss's insertable end is made of 100% non-porous silicone, that is phthalate free and body safe. Her controlling end is made of hard, white plastic, with a silver band. The one I received is blindingly pink, but she also comes in bright purple.

She's super squishy soft, but dense. She has an unfortunate seam through her middle that you can feel when you rub your hands over her surface, but not so much when she's in use. The material is flexible and seems to mold to your contours allowing you to add as much or as little pressure as necessary.

There's quite a bit of drag to her seemingly smooth surface, so you're almost definitely going to want to use lube. Her texture reminds me a little of one of those rubber ball gags so many BDSM enthusiasts start out on.

She doesn't taste like anything, but she does smell a little like acetone. You practically have to cram her up your nose to smell it, though.

Design / Shape / Size

Bliss is seven and one-half inches long, five and three-quarters of that being insertable. She has four sequential, graduated bubbles on her shaft starting at her tip and ending about two inches from the end. They range from an inch to one and three-eighths inches in diameter. At her widest point, she is four and one-half inches around.

She's controlled by a rubbery button located bottom center on the battery cap. Unscrew the plastic cap and you'll find a clear washer around the outside and a thin piece of smokey plastic inside the battery compartment. Grasp the little tab with your fingernails and pull that out. You'll notice that it's open on one side and printed with little batteries to show you which way you should put yours in. Snap two AAA batteries into the plastic sleeve, slide the sleeve into the battery compartment and voila! You're ready to go just as soon as you screw the cap back on.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Bliss's contours offer graduated insertion, while her flexibility ensures that she follows your body's curves. Bliss's curves stimulate the g-spot and labia, as well as the vaginal walls. Her spherical tip disperses the vibrations along the surface.

You don't get much simpler than her controls. She has three vibration speeds (low, medium, high) that are located mostly at the tip, but travel through the shaft well. They are easily cycled through by pushing the button on the bottom. However, you must cycle through all three to turn her off.

She's a pretty powerful toy and isn't overly loud. A person laying in bed next to you will hear her, but outside a closed door they won't detect a sound.

Care and Maintenance

Bliss's packaging doesn't take up too much room since it's not much larger than she is. So I store her in that. I tossed the holy Gatorade cap because she seems to stay put in the base without it fairly well and I can't imagine putting it on and taking it off every time I want to use her.

If you use lube, make sure it's water based. Silicone will probably degrade her.

Boil, bleach or toss Bliss in the top rack of the dishwasher. Share her between orifices or partners, or don't, and just wash her up with antibacterial soap and water and you're all set.

Be sure to remove the holy Gatorade cap before use. Check to be sure the o-ring is in place and screw the battery cap on tight to ensure waterproofing.

Packaging

Bliss does not come in the traditional tin of so many Evolved toys. Its packaging is decidedly plastic. However, it's a hard, sturdy plastic and adorably cute. The top is a clear dome, with heart-shaped charms and the fleur-de-lis, that dips in to a pink strip that says Evolved on it in purple. On top is a purple ribbon with pink trim and a fleur-de-lis charm. The bottom is solid purple with a hot pink strip.

Getting Bliss out of the packaging is a little more time consuming than their traditional tin. First, you unscrew the clear lid from the purple base. Once that's done, you'll notice Bliss is held firmly in place by a clear plastic piece that somewhat resembles a Gatorade lid with a hole in the middle. Unscrew the holy Gatorade lid from the purple base and you've freed bliss.

But wait... there's more! In order to ensure Bliss's waterproofing, you must now remove the battery cap from her bottom, take off the holy Gatorade lid and replace the battery cap. Preferably after you've put batteries in it.

Experience

When I opened this, I wanted to cry. I thought, "What do you mean I have to be objective? This toy just screams for either beaucoup gushing or bashing, what with it's super cool packaging and nifty color!"

My clear dome was cracked (probably in transit), unfortunately, so it doesn't screw on all the way without loosening, but I'm guessing that can be fixed with a bit of superglue.

I underestimated how used to slick surfaces I'd gotten, and was a little put off at first by the amount of drag upon insertion. But in minutes, the thought was out of my mind as I realized how amazing her shape makes thrusting and labia stimulation. And that drag I was annoyed by on insertion proved to be amazing for clitoral stimulation.

When the batteries start to run down, she starts acting a little weird. Rather than all the settings losing their oomph and then eventually dying out together like most, the lowest setting stops working, then the medium setting, and finally, the highest setting dies.

I wasn't particularly fond of her in the shower (that whole slick surfaces thing). Water based and natural lube both sort of wash away in the bath, but plain water doesn't do much for relieving the drag when the toy is inserted.

Overall though, Bliss is a well-made toy and I'm enjoying her very much.

Just one note, you talked about putting it in the dishwasher or boiling it and although it is safe for the silicone it is not safe for the motor. The toy is submersible but the heat could damage the mechanisms. I don't mean to sound nit-picky I just wanted to point it out.
