Although this is not a waterproof toy, and it has guzzled down some batteries of mine in my time of using it, it is cute and colorful, was completely affordable, comfortable and powerful. I would buy it again!
This bullet really is cute. I bought the green version in April 2011 and it was springy and a welcome addition to my (at the time) boring pallet of colors! The Egg ecstacy is not intended to be inserted vaginally or anally. The vibe may be used all over the body, but it may be a bit too intense for most people.
The egg itself is, as it is named, egg shaped. The plastic coating on the egg makes for a very soft and velvety feeling, and it is comfortable for your most sensitive spots.
Breaking it out of its package, my first impressions were the hardness of the plastic, the velvety feeling on the egg, that there was NO smell, and consequently no taste to the toy.
This clitoral stimulator is plastic and is non-porous, hypo-allergenic, and latex/phthalates free; it can also be used with any personal lubricants you may have on hand. The egg is not waterproof, so even if you decide to place it inside the vagina be cautious (remember bullets aren't usually meant for this, and you can damage the item or even put yourself in harms way if it happens to break).
The control/battery pack is easy to use and is made of hard plastic. It is very simple and isn't of super quality. The pack itself is bumpy so it fits well into your hand; your thumb naturally places right on the on/off switch. The switch is rubbery, making it easier for possibly moist fingers to control it. The switch is on, slow, and high speed.
Like previously mentioned, the shape of the egg bullet is egg shaped. It's a very simple shape, and it makes it completely easy to use. Beginners and experienced users alike will enjoy this simple toy.
The shape of the control is great, easily gripped, and almost natural in my hand. It is not too large nor do I have to fumble around to control the speed/on/off.
The cord is pretty average from what I have personally seen. I do wish it was longer sometimes when I'm trying to be discreet in case a walk-in happens. The cord tangles quite a bit, so I do have to take some time to untangle it when it's coming out of its safe-keeping space.
The egg plugs into the pack with a standard jack plug. I have used some old bullets in this pack already and it did work fine, though I prefer the egg shape of this toy (something I've never used before)
There are only 2 functions on this toy, low and high. Low is completely satisfying enough for me when the batteries are charged/full. I have forgotten to take out the batteries once or twice, and it guzzles the battery life right up. Make sure to switch batteries around or take them out when it is not in use to prevent it from draining the battery.
The controls have been convenient and easy to use since it first came out of the package and I put the batteries in it. The batteries are 2 AAs, so they can be replaced very easily if needed.
This toy has one main drawback other than my problem with the short battery life: it is NOISY. Sometimes it seems like it's being nice and quiet, but one small movement and it's buzzing so loudly. I live with other people in my home, and sometimes can only use this when it's feeling like behaving (also usually on low, under some blankets or under a pillow).
There is a light that turns on when toy is in use. it is a bright blue/white light. It's actually pretty bright, I once used it to see something in the dark. That's some battery pack talent.
This is super easy to care for. I usually wipe it down with a wipe or some toy cleaner and just throw it in my toy box or drawer after use. It's plastic so you don't have too much to worry about in terms of keeping its material safe.
I would always take out, or flip around, the batteries after use. You want to keep the batteries performing well. Another thing is, you don't want it starting up randomly. This can cause some embarrassment! Personally, I slip out the jack plug from the battery pack if I'm worried about an interruption or putting it away in a hurry before I take out the batteries.
It came in a plastic clam shell, and it is not hidden at all. If somebody opens your mail, they will know exactly what you are up to in there when alone, so just be prepared to grab it from the mail before some nosy family member or friend does.
If you plan on gifting this, it would make a super cute Easter or spring gift. The spring color and "egg" theme would do well.
I love this toy, it is easy to use and it's always a pleasing experience for me. I have gotten off many times while using it, and I would recommend it. I would buy another!
Follow-up commentaryI still like it1 day after original review
I have owned this for one year and five months now and nothing had ever gone wrong with it other than it randomly getting super loud while in use. It has never stopped working, the batteries tend to drain sometimes, but nothing has changed for the worse since first using it.
