The black magic pocket rocket, when used well, surely lives up to its name. It can deliver mind-blowing sensation if you manage to hit just the right spot, and trust me you'll know when you do. It's intended for clitoral stimulation and can be used so by nudging your clit, holding it steady or move around in a intoxication pattern. The pocket rocket can be used to tease other areas of the body such as breasts, neck or other sensitive places.

I believe this toy would work great for everybody as long as they're willing to give it a shot. It's great for soloing, foreplay or even during sex to give that extra touch. I've grown very fond of mine, and I'm certain you'll like yours.

The pocket rocket is made in latex and phthalates free plastic in variable hardness. It has no particular smell to it nor taste. The hardness of the plastic material variates throughout the toy. The see-through cap, which can be removed, is the hardest part of the toy and is very sturdy. The black part (up until the handle) is very smooth and velvet to touch, while the handle itself is unnecessarily bordering on being porous and weirdly sticky when wet.

The design of the pocket rocket works. The ability to remove the see-through cap adds function, variation and fun to this pleasurable toy. The vibrations are felt strongly both with or without the cap, though it feels nothing alike. The design of the toy makes sure the vibrations reach just right the spot you desire.


In the beginning it can be a bit hard to master the handle when either putting in batteries or turning on the vibrations. It can be frustrating how close you are to opening the toy, while really attempting to turn it on. For me this is a major design flaw. Besides that it can be quite difficult to put the little thing back together as the handle has a tendency to refuse fitting together with the rest of the pocket rocket once unscrewed. This is however doable with some patience and not to mention practice.

It's suitable for both beginners and advanced users, which is mainly due to the adjustable intensity of the vibration, but also because it just works wonders when mastered. The toy is also very small and by that quite discreet. It can be easily hidden or taken along for trips.

The black magic pocket rocket is very basic when it comes to functions. By turning the handle slightly you can increase the intensity of the vibration up and down depending on which side you turn it. This works well, but only if you're very careful. It's very easy to turn the wrong way or too much and instead of delightful play you'll have to put the toy back together as you also open the toy by turning the handle. I can see how this is the only way to do it, but it's rather sensitive.


The toy performs rather well and doesn't drain batteries easily. Of course the amount of pleasure you get out of it depends on how well you've mastered it, and in this case it's also very easy and it won't take more than one or two tries to become very fond of the rocket in your pocket.

As mentioned the controls are a bit twitchy, but with increasing familiarity as the toy's used this stops to be a problem. The toy is rather discreet, but with a longer glance you'll be able to guess what it is rather quickly.

This toy is easy to care for. But despite being advertised as waterproof I would still be careful with soaking it completely, but that might just be me who's a bit more anxious. The handle is however very porous, especially when soaked and dried, so be careful with how roughly you treat the pocket rocket when cleaning.
It should be cleaned either with hot water and antibacterial soap or with toy cleaners or wipes. The toy cannot be boiled or cleaned in a dish washer.

When it comes to lubricants this rocket can handle nearly everything. Since it's made out of plastic you can use silicone-based lubes along with water-based. I would highly recommend a sensitivity enhancing lube if that's your thing.

It's very easy to store due to it's smaller size and very easy to hide.

As you've probably noticed in the pictures I've posted of the pocket rocket features, I purchased a purple colored one instead of a black rocket. This is because the one I own is the velvet pocket rocket, but it's the same product besides the name, color and fancy packaging so I don't assume this is actually a issue.

As soon as I got to know my way around this toy it worked delightfully well for me. I was pleasantly surprised over just how much pleasure such a small thing could provide and I would highly recommend it to everybody. It's one of my favorite toys and defiantly a go to toy if I want to get off with sensation.
