Pink and Buzzing
A decent toy with powerful vibrations. The Satin G-Spot might be looking for if all you want is a powerful traditional vibrator otherwise look for something with better texture or features.

Pros
Powerful vibrations, a number of different settings, plenty of length
Cons
Requires C-batteries, loud, maybe too powerful for some
I always keep a little stash of batteries around for my toys—a couple AA’s, AAA’s , and a pack or two of watch batteries (for those mini-vibes), but when I ordered the Satin G-Spot Vibe I had to go and pick up some C-batteries. C-Batteries are not what I would initially think to put in a sex toy (they remind of the portable boom boxes my friends and I carried around in the 1990’s) but there are a small percentage of toys that do require them. With a package full of hefty batteries I eagerly pulled open the package to give the Satin G-Spot a quick test run.
Now despite being described as something like “silky smooth satin” the Satin G-Spot is simply hard plastic—smooth, yes, silky, not really. The phthalates free plastic is a good choice at least in terms of safety; it is easy to keep clean with soap and water and works with just about any type of lube—however, the hard plastic is not a material that is at all lifelike or soft. The toy’s design is pretty much a traditional vibrator design (straight non-textured shaft) with a slightly curved tip at the end to provide a little extra stimulation. The controls—a selection button and intensity dial—are at the base of the toy and the motor is in the curved tip. The toy is relatively long which makes for plenty of insertable length (or alternately a nice handle for shallow penetration) and it is a reasonable width for comfortable penetration.
Given the size of the C-batteries I probably should have expected this but as soon as I clicked on the selector this toy started buzzing like crazy. While the intensity dial does give some control over the level of the vibrations this is not a toy for the weak of heart. The vibrations produced by the Satin G-Spot are certainly the most powerful of any toy in my current collection and I am sure the C-batteries have a lot to do with that. The vibrations have 6 different modes: a standard just “on” vibration and then 5 varying pulsing/ramping vibration levels. These varying levels provide a nice level of variety but you have to cycle through each of the settings to get to the next one (you cannot just start on a favorite level).
This is a toy that is definitely recommended for anyone who likes intense vibrations and a simple non-textured design. I found the vibrations produced by the Satin G-Spot Vibe to be stronger than I normally like but not entirely overwhelming. However, this is definitely not a discreet vibrator and its motor (even on the “lowest” setting) could be heard easily through a wall. While I do not mind loud toys I can imagine some people would find this to be more than slightly distracting. While I do think the strong vibrations will appeal to some the Satin G-Spot Vibe is a little cheaply constructed—the dial feels a little flimsy and the batteries are easily heavier than the toy itself, and its ability to switch through functions only in one order is a little disappointing.
After playing around for a while I set this toy aside. The strong vibrations and small features issues make it just not as appealing as other toys I have, but while I cannot imagine taking this out very often for play in the bedroom it did make for a great back massager.

Follow-up commentary

This toy has been a grower in our household. While the C-batteries were more intimidating than enjoyable at first, the real power of this toy has occasionally been exactly what we are looking for. When other vibes just do not provide enough intensity this is our go-to toy. Both my partner and I still find it a little disappointing that the toy does not offer a better design in the most general sense, for instance a more interesting texture or higher quality construction. But despite our initial fears this toy has proved that it can be a worthwhile addition to our bedroom play. I would still highly recommend this toy only to those who know they want intense vibrations (and the louder sound that comes with them). This toy may not be subtle or perfect but it fits a niche we otherwise have not yet filled.

I have a toy that takes C batteries as well, and they rattle like CRAZY. I now avoid C battery toys because they're never going to be quiet. At all.

I love powerful vibes but this just doesn't sound like a winner. Thanks for the honest review.

Luckily the C's in this one don't rattle a lot, but they do make for a powerful motor, and with little to dampen the sound that means lots of noise coming out of this!

C battery toys scare me!

I prefer toys with AA batteries. Great review!
