The G vibe is a rechargeable silicone vibrator that can be used in a lot of different ways, since the tips are quite flexible. So, as long as you can imagine it, it can probably be done. In case you need a little help with ideas, there is even a little booklet that has minimal instructional drawings in order to use the vibrator. It could be used to tease a penis, be entirely inserted in the vagina, or split to stimulate the clitoris or the anal area. Although if you do so, don't go back to any cleaner area, obviously.

The vibrator is made of very soft and silky silicone and plastic. The drag is minimal and there is not a lot of lubricant that is required to make the insertion easy. Since the G vibe is quite flexible, the vibrations do not travel extremely well through the silicone, and it is something that I'd noticed repeatedly with other silicone toys. So, considering that the design is made to be flexible, it is no wonder that the comments about its intensity level are not particularly positive. Not only that but the two motors are not located in the first two inches of the vibrator, but only in the lower half of the tips. There is even a drawing that shows that the motors are at the very tip, but that image is unfortunately misleading.

There are three buttons at the base, a Plus, a Wave and a Minus. Instantly touching the Plus will turn it on, and the Minus to turn it off. There are 10 levels of intensity and if you press the Wave button from any level of intensity, the vibration pattern will start at that same intensity level. Press the Wave button again to cycle through the 6 patterns. If you hold the Minus button from any setting, the toy will turn itself off.

The vibration patterns are:
1. Constant vibrations
2. Constant vibrations over a second followed by a pause
3. Quicker constant vibrations with pauses
4. Escalating without pauses
5. Constant escalating and diminishing vibrations
6. Random chaotic vibrations

At the highest setting, this vibration is not yet as loud as a bullet can be, and the lower vibration intensities are fairly quiet.

The G vibe is rechargeable with a USB cable and the orifice where it can be plugged is covered with a silicone plug that is easy to remove and replace. White the toy is not waterproof, it will survive a washing under the faucet.

Silicone is fun to have in a toy as it can be washed with soap and water and left to dry. It could also be cleaned with toy wipes if you are in a hurry or wiped with rubbing alcohol for a more sanitizing effect.

A silicone toy should only be used with water-based lubricants, as a reaction could occur between the silicone-based lubricant and the surface of the toy.

There is a cloth pouch provided with the G vibe and is suitable for storage. If you have to store a rechargeable toy for a long time, it is recommended to completely charge up the toy beforehand to preserve the battery.

The toy is a good and very interesting one, but you have to buy it knowing it's not very powerful. It's mostly in the medium range of intensity, and yet, orgasms can definitely be reached, and that is even if you are used to strong vibrations.
