Perfect First
This is a good toy for beginners. It isn't intimidating, has no strange animals eating your bits, and is a good, simple shape. Plus it's silicone, which is always a good thing.

Pros
7 vibration options, 3 rotating speeds, modest length and girth, isn't scary to look at.
Cons
No instructions. It's pink. That's all I've got.
This toy comes in a smallish plastic box. It's not much larger than the toy itself (about .75 inches added to the sides, I think), so you could use it for storage and just slip it under your bed. I made a satin pouch to keep it in. There are no instructions on this box, though, so you're on your own for figuring out how it works. (I will tell you though, because I like you.)
The Tripler takes three AAA batteries, two on one side of the battery cartridge and one on the other. To open the battery compartment, twist the very bottom of the handle just a bit. It will come off. Load your batteries, and replace it. Make very sure that the two metal conductors on the bottom are touching the metal bits on the inside of the vibrator, and screw the cap back on.
There are three buttons on the handle. With the vibrator facing upward, the bottom button turns the lights on and makes the other buttons available for function. This confused my husband, who was playing with my new toy while I was in the bathroom. You have to push the next button (the middle one) to turn on the vibrator, and the top button to make the top of the Tripler rotate. There are seven vibration options, all of them delightful. Boring as it may be, I fell in love with the first vibration option. There are three rotation options, slow, med, and fast. When the rotator is turned on, it looks kind of like a very long tongue wagling around, and when the vibrator is turned on the little clitoral stimulator tendrils either move so fast they're only a blur, or bounce like bunny ears.
As for length and girth: The length of the Tripler isn't as intimidating as it seems on the site. The official stats are 5" insertable length, and 1.25" diameter, which is accurate. The girth is perfect for me. The handle fits nicely in the hand, though it does wiggle some when you have the rotator on (unless you grip it for dear life or something). I can press the buttons with my thumb without having to look or adjust to reach them.
Looks: It is pink. It is very, very pink. If you simply cannot stand pink then you should find another toy. I can stand pink, so this is fine for me. Husband remarked that its shape is very alien, and I must agree (which is why I chose this one). The triple tendrils that give the Tripler its name are almost reminiscent of a slug, actually, with two eye stalks, perhaps with its tongue sticking out to say "neener neener". We noticed that one tendril (of the two longer ones) was longer than the other and decided that it's probably meant to be that way; if you watch them vibrate you can see where it might be nice to have one slightly longer than the other. The rotating shaft, as stated before, looks a bit like a very long, thick tongue. It's tapered at the very end which makes inserting it a bit easier. I would still suggest lubricant.
Which reminds me! The Tripler is silicone. Silicone does not play well with more silicone, so stick to water-based lubricants.
Feel: It has a very smooth texture. It does drag a bit though. When in use, the vibrations are very noticeable throughout the entire toy. The rotator is not so noticeable. I think it's just missing my g-spot. However, the shaft is still good for minor thrusting. If you get a bit to excited while thrusting, though, you might stab yourself with the clitoral stimulator, and that's not as sexy as you might think.
Noise: The entire toy, when all the bells and whistles are on, is quieter than an electric razor. You would not be able to hear it in the shower. I wouldn't try to use it secretly with someone else in the room, but I doubt you'd be able to hear more than a slight hum from another room. The rotator does not squeak when it's on, but it does make a tiny squealing sound. You can't hear it once inserted, though.
The Tripler is waterproof. I wouldn't boil it, though, due to the plastic bits in the handle.
The Tripler does have a scent, but it isn't a bad one, and you can only smell it when you've got it pressed against your nose. It's a very light, almost sweet scent.

Experience
This is actually the first rabbit vibrator I've ever purchased. I was very specific, looked at dozens of strange-looking objects to find just the right length and girth and noise level. I wanted something without a tiny animal on it, something that looked like it wouldn't bite me. (They all look so darn scary to a beginner.) And I found it.
Follow-up commentary

What to say about the Tripler . . . hmmm . . .
When this toy dies, I will probably cry. And then I will buy a new one. I've been window shopping for other rabbit vibes, but I always wonder if they could be as good as this one. I drew a picture of my 'sona with it, in homage.
It's held up very well, despite regular use. There have been no water problems, and I've only had to change the batteries once. It's quieter than I originally rated. (I can use this with my husband in the same room, and so long as he doesn't turn around, he won't know.) I can't even think of anything bad to say about it. Even my husband loves it (and no, he did not ask first).
