Passion wave butterfly sex toy review
I definitely recommend the Passion Wave Butterfly to anyone who wants to try something new in a rabbit vibe. The undulating wave motion provides a nice, warm internal sensation that is more subtle than either the vibration or rotation of traditional rabbit vibes.

Pros
Innovative wave motion, large clitoral stimulator
Cons
Poorly designed clitoral stimulator, quite large for me
The Passion Wave Butterfly|Passion wave® butterfly is a nice new twist on the typical rabbit vibrator. Rather than rotating or vibrating, the shaft undulates in a wave-like motion. This not only provides for a whole new sensation than the normal vibrating or rotation shafts, but it makes the vibe perform more efficiently than most “squirmy”-style vibes.
The first thing I noticed about this vibe is that it is quite large, and probably not the best choice for beginners. I had to use a lot of lube with it to insert it comfortably, and at times the sheer size caused the undulating motion to cause a slight pinching sensation that was not terribly pleasant. Lube this one up well!
The vibe is a clear jelly over a purple core, which is made up of a series of discs that move in and out to cause the wavelike motion. It is also waterproof, which is always a nice feature. The clitoral stimulator is not terribly effectively designed to hit the clitoris, in my opinion; the antennae and wings of the butterfly just stand out too far. However, this clitoral stimulator is one of the largest I have seen on a rabbit vibe, and thus is effective for stimulating the genital and labial area in general. It is quite powerful on its highest setting, but just does not provide the pinpoint clitoral stimulation I look for.
When not causing the weird pinching sensation, the wave motion of the shaft is actually rather nice. It is less intense than either a vibrating or rotating shaft, but still provides a pleasantly warm internal tingle. The really nice feature of the undulating shaft as opposed to a rotating shaft is that it does not lose power and slow down or even stop when your internal muscles clench around it.
The vibe is quite noisy, as are most rabbit vibes|Rabbit vibrators, but not terribly distractingly so. Overall, I think the Passion Wave Butterfly is a great choice for those looking for something a little new out of their rabbit vibes.

I still can't make up my mind on this toy. It's effective enough as a rabbit, I just don't know that I like the "wave" motion of the shaft. It just seems to pinch a little to me. Still, though, it's a change from a typical rabbit|iRabbit vibrator review and worth trying if you're looking for something different.

Thank you for your comment! It definitely is something a little new to sex-toy design, and I'm always for new and innovative, too. I hope you enjoy it if you try it!

So, do you think this toy is worth the money?
-
Well, that's difficult to answer, because it depends what you're seeking in a dual-action. If you're new to rabbit-style vibes, I think you would be much better off with a classic rotating shaft-style toy, like the Rabbit Pearl or Decadent Indulgence. I would recommend this for experienced 'rabbit' users who are looking for something a little different. If your budget can accomodate $80 for the sake of variety and trying something a little new, then it delivers a different enough experience to make it worthwhile. But if you're looking for one solid dual-action vibe as a staple for your collection, in my opinion, there are many more effective choices at this price level. I hope the rotating disc technology will improve and lead to some excellent products in the future, but for now, I'd recommend this for those who can afford to spend $80 to diversify a rabbit collection, not to anchor one.
