Paint Your Town Red

Super quiet and super powerful are not normally things that get to go together, but with All on Red, they finally get some quality time together. Red is waterproof, really quiet, and pretty powerful. Take him to the shower, into the bath, or just enjoy him wherever you like.

Use

All on Red is one of the latest in a line of really fantastic vibrators from Evolved Novelties. It was intended to be used vaginally, but there's no reason you couldn't use it on your clit, your nipples, his nipples, use it to tease his penis or his balls!

Textured just enough to keep it interesting, Red is perfect for just about anybody who doesn't want too much texture, but wants more than your basic slimline. Red is pretty quiet as well as waterproof, so feel free to take him anywhere.

Material / Texture

Red is made of silicone and hard plastic. The insertable part is made from silicone, making it hypo-allergenic, non-porous, and phthalates free. He's really soft, yet really firm at the same time. The silicone itself has a fairly matte finish and has just the slightest drag to it, but that's nothing a little bit of water based lube can't handle.

The texture itself is great for just about everybody. It's enough to be interesting while at the same time not being enough to be overwhelming for most.

There was a slight scent to it, but only if you held your nose right up to the material. After a few washings, it's gotten even less noticeable.

The only downside to the material is that it is quite the lint magnet.
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

Red's design is great because it's very unintimidating. With a total length of 8" from end to end, and an insertable length of just about 5", Red is anything but massive. Being 5 1/2" around at it's widest point near the base and 4 1/2" around the swirl at the tip makes this not the best choice for a first toy.

In use, at it's widest point Red is filling without feeling like you're being stretched to the max. The soft silicone swirls that run all the way around Red are sure to please and add a bit extra to thrusting.

While not huge, Red is still pretty obviously a sex toy and should be tucked away unless you don't care if people know what you were up to last night. If you keep Red in a pouch, he'll tuck away into any suitcase and even many purses.

Functions / Performance / Controls

If you can only get off with your Hitachi, Red might not be enough for you, but for most, Red will impress you.

The vibrations are located mostly in the tip of the shaft, but travel fairly well through the rest of the shaft. Towards the base you can't really feel them however. They're of the low pitched, deep and rumbly variety.

Before you can do anything vibraty with Red, you first have to add 2 AA batteries. No big deal, just unscrew the battery cap and follow the little diagram to put the batteries in. The battery cap can only go back on one way, and I haven't found a way to screw it up yet. It will sort of lock into place and you're good to go.

After that, you start turning the really neat click wheel to start the vibrations. The wheel works a lot like the control on the bottom of a dial base vibrator, only it's vertical. So you only have one vibrating setting, but that's also less that you have to figure out. The dial moves in one direction only and goes through a series of graduated vibrations ranging from barely there to holy crap my hand is numb. When you turn it off, it sort of clicks into place. Nothing audible, but you should be able to feel the click. On its lowest setting it's almost impossible to hear if you've got any noise in the background, and the vibrations are still fairly strong. On its highest setting, you'd be fine with just the closed door and some blankets. It only sounds loud when you're next to it in a quiet room, but when I had my fiance stand on the other side, I could barely hear it.

Red is also waterproof! I took him into the shower and he performed wonderfully. I even set him in the sink full of water and cleaned him while he was on and he didn't miss a beat. So long as you make sure that the battery compartment is closed tightly, you'll have a watertight seal.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance is really simple. You can dip the silicone portion in boiling water for 10 seconds (please don't boil the whole toy, the plastic and other electronics can't handle it), spray it down with a 10% bleach solution, wash with warm water and antibacterial soap, or just spray down with a toy cleaner. Because of how much of a lint magnet Red is though (he picks up stuff just waving through the air sometimes), I personally recommend washing in the sink with water and soap and then shaking him off. The silicone here seems to almost repel the water, so just towel off the control base and let him air dry.

You should always take the batteries out of all toys while storing as leaving them in can cause corrosion which will eventually prevent the toy from working, which would suck.

Also, make sure to only use water based lubes. The same properties that keep silicone lubes nice and liquidy can do the same thing to Red, and that would suck.

Red can be stored in his container, which is where I'm keeping mine. Evolved Novelties has awesome containers that are clear so you can see inside, and stack wonderfully. You can also keep him in a satin lined pouch.

Packaging

Red's packaging is really neat too. Really classy I think, and would make a great gift. Mostly clear with writing all over it to tell you it's European all around, and lists their website.

The case itself is made of a hard plastic. The lid is held on with these really neat clips that resemble those found on mason jars. If you're not careful you can break a nail trying to open the box. In this picture I have one open and one closed to try and show you what I'm talking about.

The case is great for storage, or gift giving, and stacks with other Evolved Novelty cases. Not the most discreet, but still really nice nonetheless.

While there were no instructions other than what batteries are required, Red is pretty easy to figure out on its own.
    • Good for storage
    • Not discreet
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

While the material itself is anal safe, I don't recommend using Red anally. He doesn't have a flared base and while yes, you would probably be fine, do you really want to take that chance with lubed up fingers? Trust me, you don't want to explain to the doctor why your bum is vibrating, so keep Red outta your butt.

Experience

Wow, I'm really impressed, and it's been a long time since a vibrator has made me say that. I first had to dig for a pair of fresh batteries since if you have deader ones, the lower vibration settings on the wheel come in as nothing and the higher vibrations aren't as strong. Once I did that and clicked it on, my first thought was "wow, you're my new favorite."

There's really no downside to All on Red, except that he's a freaking lint magnet. He's interesting enough to keep me interested, not too big so he didn't freak me out about trying to insert him, strong enough to get me off as quickly as I want to, and he doesn't get in the way during sex. Well, if my fiance is on top Red gets in the way a little bit if he leans in for a kiss, but if I'm on top, Red just lays there and does what I want him to.

If anything happens to Red to break him, I would definitely buy him again.
Follow-up commentary
I feel horrible about it, I really do, but I just don't seem to reach for Red anymore. I would still recommend him to anybody who's interested in him, but I've apparently moved on without meaning to. A solid toy, and worth the money if you're going to use him.
