One Small Step For A Small Remote Egg.....
This second edition of the Remote Control Egg was just as much of a bust as the first group. The only improvement was the remote had one A-23 battery, not the LR-44 watch batteries that the previous version used. My cat has proudly inherited both eggs and uses them daily as exercisers.

Pros
Free gift.
One battery for remote-not watch batteries.
Velvet cote.
One battery for remote-not watch batteries.
Velvet cote.
Cons
Noisy, no improvements, 10 vibration patterns?, seam & loop are painful.
The egg and controller are ABS plastic that has been covered in soft, velvet cote, which rates an 8 on the safety scale. This material is non-porous, and you may share these if they are cleaned properly. The coating is velvety soft and has a low drag to it, but it does not add a lot to the stimulation. The velvety coating is very thin.
There is a seam where the battery compartment in located on the egg that can be felt when using the egg. This is not completely unpleasant, however for repetitious movements, it can irritate the area. There is no taste or smell to this set.The egg is pretty small and discreet. The measurements are 1 7/8" long by 1 1/2" diameter. The looped cord on the back is 4 1/2" long. The loop is formed by a metal clip by the base of the egg. This clip can be a bit painful. The remote is very compact and easily hidden in a pocket or hand. It measures 1 1/2" long by 1 1/8" wide by 5/8" thick. There is a corded loop on the top that is about 3" long. It is small enough to travel with and be discreetly hidden.
Depending on your expectations, this can be used by beginners or advanced users. I was hoping for a toy we could use in public, but with the low remote area and the weaker vibrations this did not work out as planned. The limited 4' remote area was a great disappointment. I was really hoping that after the low ratings on the last remote egg, this one would have some very noticeable improvements. The only improvement I noticed was the battery for the remote. It is an A-23 battery instead of multiple watch batteries.
The noise level is still very high for a toy of this size, the vibrations are still disappointingly weak and the remote range is laughable. This was a fun free gift--for my cat, but not as an adult toy. Sorry, Shaki, this was an expensive bullet that has not had the necessary improvements done for it to make it a player in the adult market.
This claims to have 10 vibration patterns, however, this is what I have come up with off my egg. 1. Low steady vibrations - 2. Medium steady vibrations - 3. High steady vibrations - 4. Quick pulses to steady - 5. Fast pulsing - 6. Very fast pulses - 7. Steady very high.--- I do not have the other three options for vibrations. I have cycled this 10-12 times, written each one down and have the same number of vibrations. There is a dedicated on/off switch which makes this a great option for a remote egg. The vibrations are light and located in the egg. They are very buzzy and not deep or powerful.

Follow-up commentary

The better battery was an improvement over the previous remote egg. This toy just does not nor will it ever work for me.
The range of the remote is laughable, the life of the battery is pathetic and the quality leaves a lot to be desired.
Both of these dies with no warning and I have tossed them with full blessings.
