One big ass Fairy
Overall if power is your thing and you don't mind not being able to insert it, and the lack of attachments then it's for you. Some Hitachi heads work for it I have been told.

So... the Fairy... a Wand... it's big and powerful but...
So let me start by saying this is my first wand. I got it because the world famous Hitachi wasn't available and I wanted to try one. If you love power then a wand is a way to go. It is easy to control with its wheel based function; simply roll your thumb over the wheel past the click on and let the squirming begin. In its low setting you can still rock your world, and I would say it is as strong as a medium setting on a regular vibe. Turning the wheel higher and you will awaken the giant in the Fairy and there will be no question what that buzzing is at 11pm from your bedroom, but it only has one use..and that is my problem with it.
The fairy is about the length of my forearm and its head is too big for insertion. So this toy is only for clitoral and body (breast, legs, small of back, etc.) use. The head of the fairy is a smooth hard plastic, and I can't help but feel it would serve much better if softer, or if it came with attachments.
I feel like the Fairy lost a lot of support because the Hitachi was already out, so the company that owns it backed its Minis instead, since they have attachments .
I would also recommend being careful when washing it as the screws are prone to slight rusting.
Underneath the head are small visible screws that can get wet. My boyfriend coated them with some sort of safe liquid silicone or plastic.
Besides that, the toy is well built and a powerhouse, and if that is your thing then it's worth a try.
Keep in mind this is a plug in toy, so there will always be a wire around.

Experience
This toy is super strong, almost too much for me, as it can cause friction.
Follow-up commentary
16 months after original review
Ok, So it has been a while, but I'm back with a follow up.
I still love this toy. It's a bit too powerful at full throttle for me. I highly recommended an attachment to it, as the plastic can be hard. But, after all this time, it runs the same.
The only issue I had was that the screws mounted under the head were rusting. After replacing them with better screws, this wasn't an issue and I now know to use wipes to clean it, rather then with water and soap.
I have now had the chance (thanks to a wild night out) to try the Hitachi and can compare it to the Fairy.
They are equally powerful, but the Fairy does have an edge in control. The wheel makes a big difference as it makes controlling the Fairy a lot more manageable.
All and all, I still recommend the Fairy, I used a Hitachi attachment with it without a problem, and it can serve as your true powerhouse.
