I was originally drawn in by the shape and size of the toy. It has an amazing array of different vibration options, which is nice if you find the size intimidating. It has a little something for everyone.

The Hot Pinks Stud is a multi-functional soft jelly vibrator that can be used to stimulate the clitoris or be inserted into the vagina. It could be used to stimulate the nipples or anus by running the vibe across them while the vibrations are turned on. I did not use this for anal penetration, but it is suggested in the directions. The large size allows for maximum thrusting and G spot stimulation.
The Stud is made out of a pink jelly that has silver glitter embedded into it. It is phthalate free and rates a 2 on the safety scale because it is made of jelly and cannot be fully sterilized. I would recommend using a condom with this toy. Since this vibe is made of soft jelly material, it is somewhat flexible but still quite sturdy. At least 2" of this toy can be moved around and somewhat bent, but I wouldn't force it because it's not flexible enough to be bent in half.
The jelly material has a slight odor when placed close to the nose, but otherwise went undetected.
It also features ridges throughout the mid region of the shaft that look like the veins that run through a penis, and the tip of the vibe is tapered in to appear like the head of the shaft.
The Stud is designed to look like a real penis with the exception of its pink color. It is 8 1/2" in length with a circumference of 4 1/2". Only 7 1/2" are insertable. While I thought I would really enjoy the size, I found that I actually hated it. It seemed a little too large for what I normally prefer and since it is fairly firm, it was just too much. I couldn't really find a spot while inserted into my vagina where it was comfortable, forget about enjoyable. This vibe is definitely large enough to provide G-spot stimulation if you find firm and large is for you.
This vibe is not very discreet. It is on the larger size and extremely realistic looking. If someone saw it, they would without a doubt know what it was. I don't think The Stud is ideal for travel.
The base of this vibe is pretty cool. This is where you place the batteries and also where you control the 10 different functions on this toy. You will need 2 AA batteries that are not included to operate the vibrations. If you hold the jelly portion of the toy while turning the base, it will open so that you can place the batteries in it. Then flip it upside down so that you are looking at the bottom of the vibe. Here are your controls. There are two half moon shaped buttons that are broken up into 4 different options. These buttons control the vibration, pulsation, and escalation of the vibrator, and the last option is to shut it off completely. The controls work quite nicely. I did find that the plastic material the base is made out of is really slippery if any lubrication gets on it.
Overall, the vibrations performed great. I think that this toy provides enough options of vibrations that anyone could find one they like. It is fairly noisy, especially on the faster speeds, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something discreet.
I have found that this toy is fairly easy to care for. I use a condom during use, since it is jelly. To clean up, I take off the condom, throw that away and then wash it with warm water and a mild soap. You can also use a toy cleaner if available, just double check that it's ok for jellies.
I don't like to leave the vibe out because of the jelly material. I'm not sure if it's just me but it seems like it picks up everything from lint to hair and even dust. I saved my original plastic packaging and place it back in there after washing and then place it in a dresser drawer.
Safe lubricants that can be used with this jelly toy are silicone and water based lubricants. Silicone lube will last longe,r so you might have to reapply if you're using anything water-based.
The Stud comes packaged in a clear holder. The clear packaging allows you to see the front side of the toy. It also has a cardboard insert inside the plastic. Here you will see a description of the toy and a picture of a woman dressed in pink lingerie. Flip it over and and find a slightly different replica of the front and a quick blurb of directions. Inside the package, there is also a little packet-like set of directions. It's really long, and almost resembles a shopping receipt that you get at the grocery store after spending a small fortune. They are written in 6 different languages and explains general common sense things, with an emphasis on proper battery insertion.
In the past, I have had zero luck with jelly vibes. I figured I'd give it one last shot and decided upon this one. Although I was interested in its large size and shape, I didn't quite figure that it would probably be uncomfortable.
I couldn't wait to try this one out to see if I had been so wrong about jelly toys. I was not wrong at all, but I do have to come to the Stud's defense a little bit. I was looking for a product just like this on, that is larger than ones I've used in the past and were made of jelly. I was giving it one last try and it just didn't work out. It was a little too large. The worst part about my experience was actually using it with a condom on. Sure it made clean up a little easier, but the whole time while it was inserted in my vagina, the condom would not stay on. I had to keep taking the vibe out and adjusting the condom. I'd rather do that though than deal with a painful UTI.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it3 months after original review
I've tried to use this jelly vibe a few times since writing my original review and have found that it is just not for me. I tried using a toy cover that I purchased at a local store instead of a condom but couldn't get the cover to work properly. I'm not sure if it was because the toy cover was crappy or the size was just too large for the cover. I'm not really sure why I've kept it but if I do decide to use it again, I'll stick to using condoms. I always try to be cautious while using jelly toys as I can be sensitive to UTIs.
