This cute little friend would be perfect to get you started; but it definitely wont finish you off.
I recommend using the LUXE Empower for stimulation on the clit, and if you like anal play, rubbing the LUXE over your anus can really get you relaxed and ready for a butt plug or even something larger. However, the Luxe should not be used anally due to it not having a flared base, and you can end up in a 'not so sexy' situation. The strip of chrome PU coated plastic can be used well for temperature play. the ribbed edges are not very effective. I would recommend this as a starter toy. It will definitely leave you wanting more, but it won't give you any more than that. The pulse function is perfect for those who cannot relax before anal play.

The tip of the Luxe is a tough, but compliant type of material. If you try it will flex, but it is rather firm. The tip also includes a ribbed texture. While the ridges are deep (which makes this toy a bit harder to keep clean) these ridges are not quite puckered. It is almost unnoticeable. This would be a perfectly fine toy to anyone texture sensitive. The bottom is hard plastic. My favorite part is the metal-like strip separating the top and bottom, because it can be used for temperature play. All over, the Luxe is a quite smooth material, which makes it very enjoyable, and glides right across the skin.

The shape of the Luxe is cute, but that's as far as it goes. Its very much like a stretched 'S' shape. The smooth texture of this product gives it a fine and finished look. On the bottom it has a logo from the makers, California Exotics. The buttons are on a small oval, mother of pearl-esque in color. The size is great for surface play, but again, for insertion, it's a bit too short and stocky for my liking. This toy is perfect for those looking to be discreet, or to travel with. Slip this baby in a jacket pocket and nobody would ever think you're carrying it. One thing I do not like is the location of the buttons are not very compliant when it comes to solo. I found myself turning the Luxe off by mistake, instead of hitting the function button. This is only an issue with solo play however, as the power button glows red, and my partner had no issue distinguishing the buttons.

The Luxe offers 7 different functions of vibration, pulsation and escalation. there is a low, medium and high vibe setting, there is a slow s.o.s like pulse, a short/quick pulse, and a short long and longer pulse. the final function is the escalation. My personal favorite; Once it reaches the climax height and drops to the low speed, you receive the 'I want more' goosebumps. I love this about it. The pulsation settings are rather weak, and if you use the Luxe for insertion, you will barely feel any of the functions. The buttons are too close, and inconvenient with solo play if you aren't looking at them. The noise was very impressive! Under a blanket you will hear the finest hum. with the door closed you will not hear it from another room. It's low and perfect for any situation. It preformed quite well in water, and had no issues. It can be great for shower play, but its smooth so don't drop it!

Storage is no issue. You can put this toy anywhere. If you're like me and keep them in the packaging you'll be happy to hear the box is nice and small. Cleaning can be an issue with the ridges. You must make sure you clean in them, because they are quite deep. Fake nails work the best to get in there. A toothpick can work just the same. If you use lube with this toy it will be as slippery as a fish out of water. Note that this toy is silicone, so it sould only be accompanied by a water-based lube.

There were no instructions included, but the toy is self explanatory. I use the box for storage, it is modest in size and design.

This toy is perfect for beginners, and for preparation for a long night. It is enjoyable for couple play, and great for shower play.
