I've never had much luck with rabbit vibes since they generally don't fit me as they were intended to. However, I couldn't resist the Impulse Bunny of the Platinum Collection by Cal Exotics. The Impulse Bunny boasts being waterproof, 7 functions, triple motors and non-jamming beads. All of those impressive sounding features, and a name like "Platinum Collection" made me start to think this bunny could be a winner. Plus the non-jamming beads reminded me of some kind of carnival ride and my private parts desperately wanted to go for a spin.

This vibrator is intended for dual stimulation but might not fit every woman correctly since different people have different body shapes. The curved tip of the vibrator also allows you to use the impulse for g-spot stimulation. This vibrator is best suited for users who like moderate vibrations and squishier materials. I think that this vibrator could be enjoyed by most users since it has a variety of different options.

The insert-able portion of the Impulse Bunny is made out of smooth TPE (Thermoplastic rubber) and the battery compartment is made of plastic. The material is squishy to the touch and has give to it, but the hard frame underneath only allows so much flexibility. The TPE has some drag to it if used without lube, but becomes very slippery with no noticeable drag when lube is used. The material has a slight rubbery odor to it which becomes less noticeable with each cleaning. The material is suitable for anyone, but users who like harder materials might want to look elsewhere.

The Impulse bunny looks like a traditional rabbit vibrator with a few upgrades. The tip of the shaft is curved for g-spot stimulation, and this area also rotates at varying speeds which depend upon the chosen intensity. Below the curved tip are three rows which each contain three round metal beads. These non-jamming beads also spin at varying speeds. On the shaft of the vibrator between the area where the beads are and the clitoral stimulator is a "secret inner-g arouser" which is an extra motor meant to provide additional stimulation. The clitoral stimulator looks like a traditional bunny or rabbit found on a dual stimulation vibrator, and comes complete with details like a nose, eyes, little arms, etc. The silver plastic battery compartment can be found at the bottom of the shaft of the vibrator. This compartment has two oval indents on either side intended to help the user grip the vibrator. The control pad is a white oval area on the front with five buttons and four light up areas. The five buttons are: on/off, 7, HOT, up arrow, and down arrow. At the bottom of the battery compartment is the area where the batteries are inserted. This compartment can be opened by simply unscrewing the cap at the base of the vibrator. Once the cap is unscrewed the user will see a little plastic battery pack which the four AAA batteries are inserted into. The hole that the battery pack slides in and out of is curved on one side, so it will only fit back into the vibrator if inserted the correct way. The battery compartment has an O ring to prevent water from getting into the battery chamber, but make sure that you tightly close the cap or water might be able to get in. The bottom of the cap has the Cal Exotics logo on it.

The TPE is clear except for the area right above the battery compartment, which is clear with silver sparkles. The fact that this vibrator is clear is nice, because it allows you to see all of the inner workings of the vibrator while in use. My favorite part about it being clear was that I could see the beads spinning around inside the shaft. When handled frequently the TPE can begin to look cloudy due to fingerprints. This can be easily remedied by cleaning or rinsing the Impulse Bunny.

The Impulse Bunny has a length of 9 1/4" an insert-able length of 4 1/2" and a diameter of 1 3/8". The insert-able length may be too short for some more advanced users, but could be perfect for some beginners. Personally, I wish it had been a little longer, but it is still satisfying at its shorter length. Since it is on the larger side when it comes to overall size, and because it weighs in at around 12.5 oz it can become a little tiresome to use for prolonged periods of time.

This vibrator didn't work for me as a dual stimulator unless I played around with its positioning and flexibility. I found that if the ears are bent inward towards the bunnies face, it adds a little length to the clitoral stimulation area and it makes it easier for me to stimulate both my g-spot and clitoris at the same time. The shaft of the vibrator doesn't have much flex to its shape, because of its hard internal parts. The bunny is more flexible, and the only thing that inhibits how this area can be positioned is the motor inside.

This vibrator can be turned on by pushing the On/Off button. Once the vibrator is turned on, the bunny will begin to vibrate. This is nice, because if you just want to use the clitoral stimulation area it's possible to do so without turning on the entire vibrator. After the vibrator has been turned on, there are three levels of intensity to choose from. The level of intensity dictates how strong the vibrations in the bunny, the "secret inner-g arouser," and beads will be. There are three little led lights between the On/Off button and the 7 button that tell the user what level of intensity the vibrator is on. If one light is lit then it's on the lower level, if two lights are on then it's at the middle level, if three are lit then it's at the higher level, and if there are no lights lit then just the clit stimulator is vibrating.

The 7 button allows the user to cycle through the seven different vibrational patterns. The light to the left of the on/off button and the 7 button tells the user what vibrational pattern they are using by flashing along to the beat. The first and second vibrational options just make the vibrations more intense. The third option is a series of quick pulses followed by steady vibration.The fourth option is a series of evenly spaced vibrational pulses. The fifth option is just like the fourth, but a little bit quicker. The sixth option is three quicker pulses followed by a longer steady vibration. The seventh click brings it back to a steady vibration.

The control pad area also has a HOT button which randomly chooses a vibrational pattern. I liked this button, because it allowed me to go through the different vibration patterns without having to cycle through them in order. To turn off the vibrator you need to turn it all the way down to it's lowest setting and push the off button. Considering how many buttons there are, I thought that the controls were very easy to use.

The vibrations can be felt strongest in the "inner-g arouser" and the bunny. The vibrations can be felt strongly in the tip of the vibrator, however the vibrations are noticeably weaker in the area where the bunny connects to the shaft. Personally, I wish that the vibrations had been stronger, because the strongest vibrational option was only of mid range intensity. Users who like strong vibrations will probably want to stay away from the Impulse, but it could be a great vibrator for new dual stimulation users, or beginners.

I liked the beads and I thought that the "inner-g arouser" was a nice touch, but I felt that they shouldn't have been placed on top of each other. The intensity of the "inner-g" took away from the sensations being given off by the beads. My favorite feature of this toy was the curved g-spot tip which rotates as the Impulse vibrates. I thought that this was a nice touch that isn't often seen in rabbit vibrators.

The Impulse has a moderate volume, and although it isn't extremely loud it may be able to be heard through a door. My roommate made the remark that it sounded like it was whirring and sounded like some kind of appliance, so even if it can be heard through a door the listener might not realize what it is.

The Impulse is waterproof, but only if the battery cap is screwed on tightly. I ran the battery compartment under the sink and even brought it into the tub with me with no mishaps. If the cap isn't secured tightly than water can make it's way into the battery compartment and may cause damage to the vibrator.

TPE is more porous than some materials so a condom is suggested if you plan on sharing this vibe. The Impulse Bunny cannot be disinfected with boiling water, but it can be cleaned with warm water and toy cleaner or mild soap. It can be used with silicone or water based lubes. The material attracts all sorts of lint, hair and other things you wouldn't want to slip into your private parts, so I would suggest washing it not only before, but also after every use. It isn't the easiest vibrator to store because it's on the larger side and it's clearly a vibrator. I would suggest storing it somewhere out of sight, perhaps in a storage bag, container, or even a drawer.

The packaging for the Impulse Bunny is a plastic box with a plastic insert that the vibrator fits in. The box lists the features of the vibrator, but other than that there are no instructions. Personally I don't think that the packaging is worth holding onto, however it can be used for temporary storage until a more permanent home is found.
