While I feel this vibrator could be another person's best friend, I just felt it was average. It has a lot going for it since it is silicone and pretty quiet but I couldn't get it to wow me. The vibrations are borderline buzzy so many might want to stay away for that reason alone.
The Joystick is a vibrator made by a company called JoyDivision. It's best used vaginally or to stimulate other areas externally. Since there isn't a flared base I recommend you do not use this anally as there is the posibility of it being sucked in too far.
The Joystick is pretty quiet so it's a good toy for those with roommates. It is a little girthy so make sure you go easy when first using it. The very slightly curved tip can stimulate the g-spot when manipulated right, but I don't think it would be successful for most anatomies.
The insertable portion of the Joystick ChrisChross passed a flame test and is 100% body safe silicone, earning a 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's non-porous, latex and phthalate free. After it's first washing there was no noticeable smell or taste. The part you hold onto that houses the controls is made of plastic.
It is textures and has chris-cross ridges all over the toy. While I feel it in use, it isn't overwhelming and I feel it is perfectly suitable for texture beginners. There is some drag as I have come to expect with silicone toys but a little lubricant will take care of that. It doesn't seem to collect lint and hair as much as some of my other silicone toys.
It's a little bit flexible but doesn't have a ton of give to it. The flexibility makes it more comfortable to insert for me.
Joystick's ridges may look a little very stimulating, they are actually pretty mild. I don't like extreme texture so I welcomed this detail. Even with these little ridges, I found the overall design and shape left me a little disappointed. The mildly curved tip won't work for most g-spots, and my picky one was no exception.
Joystick is larger than average, and tends to feel like a hunk of silicone at times.
Here are the measurements:
Total length: 8.5 inches
Insertable length: 7 inches
Circumference: 5.25 inches
Diameter: 1.5 inches
With some lube and warm up an average user would be able to handle the girth, but someone new to internal toys may want to use something smaller to warm up with first.
It's 8.5 inches long and looks just like a vibrator so there's no fooling anyone. There is no lock button for the vibrations so you would want to take the batteries out if you are comfortable with someone possibly seeing and want to travel.
The Joystick was just average to me. There was nothing horrible about it, I just wasn't wowed. It is controlled by a twist cap on the bottom. You twist clock-wise to turn on and up, and counter clock-wise to turn down and off. There aren't any set vibrations speeds, you just twist up and down until you find what feels right. I actually enjoy the simplicity of this vs some other less user-friendly toys.
The motor is located in the middle of the toy so the vibrations are strongest there and towards the tip. I think the vibrations are borderline buzzy, but not so much that it was uncomfortable for me to use. I would give the vibration strength a 2.5 vrooms. You just twist off the whole cap to insert the 2 AA batteries it requires to run.
The box describes it as water-resistant. I haven't used it in the tub but I have submerged it in the sink to wash and haven't had any issues so far. One thing I like most about the Joystick is that it's pretty quiet. I would give it 2.5 bees. It can be heard in a quiet room but not through a closed door.
Being silicone makes the Joystick easy to take care of. I wash mine in the sink with hot water and soap or toy wipes if I'm feeling lazy. I have submerged it in the sink without any issues. It comes with a satin storage pouch that has a "JoyDivision" tag on the side that is very convenient for storage.
The company recommends only using water-based lubricant with this toy.
It was packaged in a silver mirror finish box with a window to see the toy through. There was very through user instructions included, as well as a storage pouch, and a sample of their water-based lube. You can use the box for gifting if the person receiving it isn't shy, but if they are you can toss it and the manual into the storage pouch and put it in a gift bag.
My experience with the Joystick wasn't bad, but I just felt it was average. Nothing about it stood out to me and I found myself switching to one of my favorite toys. It was able to give me orgasms, but they felt a bit mediocre.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it22 days after original review
I still don't like the ChisCross, and I don't have any intentions of using it again. It's just too average and there was no wow factor. Someone else may find this suitable for them, but it just wasn't the toy for me.

Thanks for your review. This toy isn't appealing to me.

Nice review! I had been eyeing this one because I liked the look of the ridges, but I was worried that rest of the toy would be kinda "meh". I'll probably pass on this one. Thanks for sharing your review!
