I received my first toy when I was 18. A friend had sent it to me in the mail as a gag gift, and I'd taken to it very... apprehensively. As I got older, however, I grew more accustomed to the idea of owning such a device, and decided to buy one of my own. I wanted something safe, something that would do its job, but not make me die of embarrassment. That's when I found Liv. I had been pouring over reviews, website after website, trying to find my perfect match -- and there she was. When I got her in the mail, I was nervous, but as I pulled her out, I realized she didn't look like something that deserved to be hidden beneath the bed and associated with quiet shame. She was sleek and smooth, having an appearance akin to the much sexier equivalent of an iPhone or Mac. It came with a silky white bag and a discreet black box for storage, 'class' being the only word that sprang into my mind. The texture, its ability to hold warmth -- to me, this seemed, and still seems, to be the perfect beginner's vibrator. I remember being so scared, but soon after it was love at first buzz. It's well worth the price and is still running strong for me, a bit over a year later too! It doesn't do any fancy tricks -- aside from having some fantastic choices for vibration speeds and rhythms -- but it more than gets the job done. I, personally, favor its clitoral effects, and the volume is nothing to fret over so long as you've a good sturdy door and some fluffy sheets. My boyfriend has used it on me once or twice, externally and internally, and I still get the enjoyment, if not more, out of it that I did back when I was a virgin.

The texture of this toy is very, very nice. It's almost velvety in description and holds warmth surprisingly well. It doesn't have a smell that I've noticed, and the taste isn't very bad either. It's not as bad as you might expect plastic to taste, but it isn't strawberry-flavored either. There aren't any ridges or fancy patterns on it to add to stimulation, but it glides just as smoothly as skin, and to me, it's perfection when I just want a nice night of relaxation, or I'm missing the boyfriend.

I love the design. As I've described before, this toy seems to be perfect for a beginner. The design is sleek and attractive, the shape is pleasing, and the size is moderate. It isn't too large, or too small. It's just right, especially for someone who has had little to no experience. The box that it came with makes for easy and discreet travel and its volume isn't so loud that it would be hard to use while on vacation, so long as you've a room to yourself or some kind of barrier between you and the other travelers. It makes for a fun warm-up with you partner as well.

I love the different settings/functions. I remember having the best results when I would switch between a few of my favorites in one sitting -- I only wish that the controls to change said settings were a little more... immediate? In the moment, it can be a little frustrating trying to count out how many times you've clicked the little pad on the base of the handle and fighting with the more intense vibrations coming off of it. I don't believe this toy is waterproof, or at least, I've never been brave enough to try it. It doesn't seem to be sealed water-tight, and it's a little expensive to just toss into a tub on a whim. The toy isn't exceedingly noisy, but it isn't silent either. I've had a lot of good times with this toy, nonetheless, and will be sad when it finally does decide to die.

I'll usually just rub the toy down with a little water to clean it off. It comes clean rather easily and, luckily, doesn't retain any unpleasant smells. It's such a relatively thin toy that I don't use lubes with it, although the few times that it has encountered lube, it's washed clean as simply as if I hadn't.

The packaging for this toy was very nice and discreet. It could be very easily sent as a gift and the instructions manual is incredibly practical. The toy comes with a box where you can store both it and its charger, as well as a small silk baggie with a cord tie to carry it in.
