My First Glass Vibrator
Doc Johnson have made a quality, simple glass vibrator that is enjoyable to use and look at. An excellent choice for small, glass toys and a good introduction to the world of vibrating glass.

For anyone who has read my EdenFantasys reviews before, you'll know that I'm not one for gaudy packaging covered in semi-naked women, and it seems Doc Johnson has gotten the message that this isn't necessarily the best way to sell toys to a female market. The simple plastic case for the Reflections series Hope vibrator is a simple, fun, & playful nod to retro chic, without a buxom blonde anywhere in sight.
Inside the packet sits my shiny, colourful, little glass vibrator. It's a shade of electric pink that some may find obnoxious, but I'm rather fond of it, and it's textured bumps are a dark purpley-blue. It sits at 6" long (4 3/4" insertable length) and is 4 3/4" in circumference.
I'm not always one for a small toy, but I have really enjoyed my experience with Hope. Beyond the three rows of bumpy spots, the upper end of the toy has smooth gently curving lines around it. Even without the vibration, the varying textures are pleasurable when inserted and the smooth glass head is nice to rub against my clitoris.
Turning the toy on is easy to do with a simple one-push button control at its base. With three speeds, you can quite easily up the ante as you play, although you will have to click up, off, and then on again to return to a lower speed. I was pleasantly surprised at how strong the vibrations were through the glass, and at how quiet the toy remains (not whisper quiet, but certainly not audible from outside the room). Achieving orgasm was easy enough with this toy, thanks to the multi-textured surface and strong-enough vibration.
As an added bonus, glass is great for temperature play. Pop it in the fridge/freezer (making sure it won't get moisture in it) for five minutes before you use it for some tingly, cool stimulation!
This isn't a hugely multi-purpose toy; it's not safe for anal play and it's not long or curved enough for great g-spot play. It also feels a little awkward as a body massager (compared to say, LELO's Siri or the Fun Factory Yooo). But for shallow vaginal penetration (and a handy travel-size glass vibe) this is a super fun toy.
Because it is glass, it is easy to clean (mild soap and water, but don't submerge your toy), but storage requires a little extra care so as to not chip or crack it. A good padded toy bag ought to do the trick. It's phthalate-free, hypo-allergenic and non-pourous, and totally safe to use with your favourite lubricant (whether that be silicone-, oil- or water-based).
If you need a small or cheap vibrator, and don't mind the feeling of something a little harder than usual, this is a fantastic toy. It's also a nice introduction to glass vibrators, and it won't break the bank to try this one out.

Nice review. I love glass, but haven't tried a vibrating one before.

Love your review! Witty ; )

I love that there's glass vibes out there now and you make this one tempting to purchase. The texture just seems a little over-whelming to me. Thanks for the review.

@ToyingCouple: Why not check out the rest of the Reflections range? I went for the most overly-textured one I could find, the rest seem decidedly tamer
