My First Rabbit

An okay vibe, but has some problems. The position of the tickler was perfect, the size and vibrations got me there every time, but I'd prefer another material and a vibe that lasts longer than this one did. Also, be careful if purchasing with intent to take into water.

This (not so) little guy has been part of my nightly/morning/afternoon routine for over a year now. We were good together, but we’ve had our share of problems.

When I first laid eyes on the Jack Rabbit, I was intimidated. Never having used much more than a little egg-shaped vibrator, I was a little frightened of its size and girth, and the balls inside took me by surprise. It didn’t take much getting used to, though. In a little under a month I was hooked. One of the best things about the Jack Rabbit is the sculpted head, a realistic shape that made it feel all the more natural.

I've been told that the rabbit's one issue is the placement of the clit tickler. This wasn’t a problem for me; I found the tickler to be in perfect alignment, so long as I adjusted the position of the shaft. The three speeds were enough for me (although I will admit I turned it right on up to the third nearly every time). It’s a little loud, but if used beneath a comforter or with some good tunes turned up, the noise isn't much of a problem.

I was looking forward to using this baby in the shower and the tub - and I took care not to submerge the battery back - but moisture got in there anyway and ruined the whole thing after my first shower extravaganza. The company gave me a brand new toy; I haven't taken it near water since.

The rotating head worked well for a while, but it broke after six months use. However, without the rotating head the vibe still got me going (and coming), and I quickly forgot that it just wasn't what it used to be.

The main complaint I have with the jackrabbit is the material; the jelly - so I read – had been known to cause problems, such as irritating the skin. I’ve noticed some discomfort after using it, probably from improper cleaning. If you buy this product, be sure and clean thoroughly with antibacterial soap and hot water or even one of the toy cleaners offered on edenfantasys (I’m a fan of Brand Spankin’ myself), and I would suggest wrapping the rabbit with a condom. Another major issue with a jelly toy is the smell and taste; it tastes and smells plastic, which is not so appealing to the tongue and nose. Also, be sure not to use an oil-based lubricant with your jelly toys.

After a good year, it's time for the rabbit and I to part. I dislike having to use a condom on my vibrator – they’re not cheap! It may not be a perfect vibe, but it does have its perks. Overall, I've been happy with my first dual-action toy. If you don’t mind meticulous care to clean your vibe, you’ll be happy with the jack rabbit.
Follow-up commentary
After about a year of use, the jack rabbit broke; first the rotation stopped working, so it became more like a typical vibrator, and then one of the springs in the battery compartment came loose, rendering the whole toy useless.

In addition to the breakage, I've decided I don't really like toys that can't easily be cleaned and have opted to stick with silicone or other safe materials like that. Something about using a condom on a toy I only use on myself just rubs me the wrong way.

So, though I still love the idea of the rabbit vibrator, in the future I'll choose a different one from a different company.

    Good call with the condom!

I would add a little more info on the material since it's jelly...like no oil based lubricants. And jelly melts easily.

Also how would you recommend cleaning this toy since it is not able to be sterilized?

Thanks for the tips; I'll also add the tip about no oil-based lubricants.
