The Curly Cue Finger Friend by Doc Johnson is an external bullet style vibrator that comes with a removable silicone sleeve and an attached finger loop. This toy is a great toy for beginners but more advanced users and power queens/kings will want to look elsewhere as the bullet is pretty weak and buzzy.

The Finger Friend consists of two different parts which come seperate when you first get the toy. It comes with a plastic bullet which I believe is the same bullet that comes with the Eden Fantasys Silicone Finger Bunny. The silicone sleeve that comes with the Finger Friend, I have to say, is absolutely fantastic. It's one of the softest and smoothest silicones I've felt on a toy. I sat there and just ran my fingers over it for like 10 minutes when I first got it.

There isn't really any texture to the toy besides the swirls on the 'curly cue' part of the toy and they don't really provide any extra stimulation, they just look cool. The silicone and bullet also have no taste or smell, which is always a good thing as far as toys go.

I think the design and shape of this toy are very interesting. It kind of reminds me of a bird or maybe a butterfly's proboscis. (If that's what you call it. I have no clue if that's the proper term, but you probably get what I mean.) It's very artsy and girly, but a man could totally use it if he wanted to. No judgement.

This toy is very discreet and easy to store. It kind of looks like a finger puppet if your young kids ever got a hold of it. It's a really small size that fits in the palm of your hand but the bullet kind of gets in the way when it's on your finger. You have to keep your finger straight when using it, which for me was kind of hard when using it on myself due to how I like to hold my hand when I masturbate. I would say that I have average length fingers, maybe a little on the shorter side, but it did affect the way I had to hold the toy.

I would say that you could definitely travel with this toy as it is hard to pin as a sex toy when you first see it. The Finger Friend comes with a plastic bullet that has 10 functions. Yes, 10 functions! It's pretty amazing for such a small toy, if you think about it. I have bigger toys that only have like 3 functions, so this is pretty cool. Now, I won't go through all the patterns and such because 1) it'll take forever, and 2) I think it's fun to explore and find out for yourself what all the patterns are. But I will say that the first three functions on the toy are all steady speeds that progress in intensity. I would probably call the highest steady speed like 3 vrooms. They're not the strongest for actually achieving orgasm, but they make it a fun way to get started.

The vibrations carry decently well to the tip of the silicone sleeve, but for me they weren't strong enough. I'm learning more everyday that I'm somewhat of a power queen, but for beginners or those who are sensitive, this is a good choice. It's also okay on the noise level. The control for this toy is just one push button at the bottom of the bullet and you use that to cycle through all of the speeds and patterns and for me it got in the way. The bullet the Finger Friend comes with is fully waterproof. It has a nice thick o-ring on it that is really effective at keeping water out. I haven't actually used it underwater, so I'm not sure if it still has the same strength as out of water, but I know the o-ring works at least.

Caring for this toy is really, really easy. Just remove the silicone sleeve and wash the two parts of the toy seperately and let them air dry before you put the sleeve back on. Water could get trapped in the sleeve if it's not fully dry and it could start to smell or get mold. You could remove the sleeve and boil it for three minutes if you are sharing with a partner and just wash the bullet with warm soapy water. Do not boil the bullet as the high heat can damage the parts inside. I'm not sure if I would put the sleeve in the dishwasher or not because it's so small and would probably get tossed around pretty bad in there. But I guess you could try it. Just remember: no soap and it should probably go on the top rack.

Storing this toy is really easy. I keep mine in the original package, because I don't really use it that much, but you could just throw it in your nightstand. Just don't store next to other materials that don't get along with silicone, and don't use silicone-based lubes because it will break down the silicone and cause it to harbor bacteria.

The packaging for this toy is pretty basic. Just a plastic clamshell package with a paper insert. You can see the toy very clearly but the paper insert isn't trashy or distasteful in any way. It's got swirly designs and flowers on it. It's more marketed toward women but a man could use it too.

There weren't really any instructions for the toy, just that it took three LR 44 watch style batteries and that the toy was made in the USA by Doc Johnson.

You could could give this as a gift in the original packaging, but you may want to wrap it first, because the toy is highly visible. You could also use the original packaging for storage, which is what I do. It doesn't take up too much space and lays relatively flat in a drawer or toy box.

I think that this toy is really cute, beginner friendly, and a lot of fun to use with a partner, but for masturbation purposes, it's just not strong enough for me. It also doesn't work well with my hand, but that could just be me. I really, really love bullet style vibrators, but I can't seem to find one that's small AND strong.
