Move over Tinkerbell, this wand is my new favorite Fairy!

No matter who you are: girl, guy, or anything in between, you need this toy. No excuses! The vibrations are powerful, with different variations in intensity. The Fairy Wand is perfect for massages, and not even power queens could handle this thing on high. Added to the fact that it doesn't take batteries and instead plugs into the wall, you can't go wrong!

Use

Those who work long hours and come home with sore muscles, rejoice! The Fairy Wand is perfect for a general massage. The vibrations are strong enough to work out any and all kinks and knots, leaving you completely relaxed. I found that my partner, who has never been a huge fan of getting massages, actually asked for one the other day, about a week after I had used this wand to give him a massage. I was shocked and happy to oblige. A warning though - after using the Fairy wand for about 10 minutes, the whole handle of it was pretty warm. Not enough to burn, but for some it might be uncomfortable. The Fairy wand can be used for clitoral stimulation too, and quite well, in fact! The plastic head nestles nicely between the legs, and users of any power preference will be happy with this toy. I don't think even total power queens could handle the Fairy on high. It would buzz their clit half way to Hong Kong!

The noise level on low is manageable, put on your a/c and it should drown most of the sound out. On high, it's a different story. I found that if I want to use my wand with no one knowing, I've got to turn up the a/c and blast my music. Because of the way my house is built, I don't have a door, so I have to be more careful than some when it comes to noise level, but it is manageable. I actually expected it to be louder than it is, based on other reviews.

The Fairy Wand is powered by electricity, through a 74.5" cord that plugs into the wall. For some like myself the length maybe more than enough, but others may need an extension cord to be able to use this wand where ever they want. The plug-in method may either be a Pro or a Con depending on a person's preference, plus it is important to make sure you have an outlet close to where you plan to be using the toy, or at least own an extension cord. It would be a terrible waste to buy this toy and find out you can't actually use it the way you had planned.

Material / Texture

When you first open the box, the toy has a very distinct odor. I'm not sure what to liken it to; it's not God-awful, but it's not great either. The smell goes away after one or two wipe downs. I say wipe downs, because you absolutely cannot get water in the crevasse that connects the head to the neck, so be very careful cleaning it. The entire toy is made of plastic, which ranks an 8 on Eden's safety scale. Plastic is Nonporous, phthalates free, latex free, all that good stuff. The head of the wand has 5 grooves along the circumference, for whatever reason. These grooves don't add any extra stimulation during use, so as far as I can tell, they're only there for aesthetic and to make cleaning more difficult. The head has the smallest amount of drag to it, but nothing too major. The pink part of the handle has a kind of grippy texture that reminds me of a shower mat used to keep yourself from falling in the shower. It's a great feature for when my hands are all oiled up during a massage.

When I'm using the Fairy Wand for massages, I use massage oil on the recipient's back, legs, and wherever else the wand will touch them, and that's enough to keep it from getting 'stuck' on the skin. When I'm using the wand for me-time, I find I don't really need any lube, as the plastic is smooth enough to get the job done. One thing about the head, it's plastic, but it's the kind of plastic that has a tiny bit of give to it. Not much, but if you press on the bottom of it, it will bend inward. Kind of like a rubber duck, but not rubber!

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Fairy Wand is pretty standard for this type of toy. Nothing out of the ordinary, but I love that it's pink. I debated between the Fairy Wand or the Hitachi Magic Wand for a bit, but due to just how much prettier the Fairy Wand is, and the fact the the speeds are more adjustable, I chose the Fairy.

Like most wands, the Fairy Wand's neck is flexible. Its got just the right amount of flex to balance between the pressure you need and not being so rigid that it hurts your wrist. This wand is huge. I've never seen such a big toy, and its size might make it hard to store or hide, so that's something to think about if you have curious eyes poking through your things. Luckily, the Fairy Wand line comes with all different sizes to fit everyone's needs. If someone found this toy in your closet, you could easily pass it off as just a back massager, since that IS one of its uses, so in a sense, this toy is discreet, but it's really not something to leave out on your bedside table.

You could travel with this toy, but unless you're carrying around a beach bag, this toy is not going in your purse. If you have room for it, the Fairy should fit in your suitcase just fine.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I've never owned a toy stronger than my Fairy Wand. It's not a toy-- it's a machine. For people who are super sensitive, the lowest setting will take care of them, easily. Power queens have the middle setting, and those into BDSM can use the highest setting in their play. This toy has something for everyone, and likewise, everyone should own it. The Fairy Wand is controlled by a speed dial that allows for the gradual increase of power. During use, I found that if I held the wand a specific way, I changed the speeds accidentally. The solution? Don't hold it that way!

This wand is a powerhouse, and because of that, it's gonna be loud. There's no way around that. If you have privacy, you shouldn't have to worry about the neighbors hearing, but unless you put on some music, other people in rooms adjacent are going to know you're using this toy. This wand is not waterproof. Period. It's not even splash-proof. Cleaning it can be difficult if you don't like using antibacterial wipes or soap and a wash cloth. Running it under the sink is a horrible idea, and you should never ever try it, okay? Okay.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is easy to clean if you don't feel the need to run it under the sink. Just use antibacterial wipes, and it'll be fine. But if you really feel the need to use soap and water or toy cleaner, all I can say is be extremely careful. If any liquid gets in the crevasse between the head and the neck, it could potentially ruin the toy. Because it's made of plastic, you can use any lube you want, just be sure to keep it away from the crevasse. Crevasse bad! I store the Fairy wand in the bottom shelf of my nightstand for easy access. I wish the packaging was sturdy enough to use for long-term storage, but sadly, it is not.

Packaging

The packaging is very minimal, but not discreet, as the wand is pictured on the front of the long, narrow box. The box is made of a flimsy cardboard, and would probably not hold up for long term storage. Unfortunately, the Fairy Wand did not come with any instructions, but the wand itself is mostly self-explanatory. Because pictures are worth a thousand words, and I'm sure you'd much rather see it than read about it, here's some pictures.

Experience

Apparently, I'm a power queen, because up until using the Fairy Wand on my lady bits, I'd thought what I was getting was enough. Nope! Not even close! I turned that baby on, and WOW. I swore I was going to have a seizure, it felt so good, and the dial was only turned to mid-strength! I couldn't handle it on high, and on the lowest setting, it still felt pretty powerful and rumbly! I almost wish I hadn't tried the Fairy for clitoral stimulation, because now I can't look at any other vibrator the same way again!
