A wand that is waterproof, slender, strong, AND a good price?! SOLD! The Wanachi mini may not be a luxury item with bells and whistles, but it gets the job done! Great as a gift and versatile in uses, the Wanachi mini is perfect for beginners, but a great addition to anyone's collection!
The Wanachi mini is a smaller (mostly thinner) version of the Wanachi wand. It is a massager, designed for muscles, erogenous zones, and the clitoris. It can be used for solo play, massage, shower fun, in a dorm, or just about anywhere, really. It can be used for clitoral stimulation during intercourse. While the head could be inserted and is silicone, the Wanachi mini is designed for external use.
The mini is a great first toy or wand. It is very discreet compared to other massagers on the market and beginner friendly. The design is basic, sleek, and to the point. The Wanachi mini it is what it is: a great massager.
This toy would be especially good for: beginners, travelers, students, and those with roommates.
The Wanachi mini is primarily made of plastic. The head is smooth silicone. The head is cylindrical with a noticeable seam about 1.5 inches from the top of the head. The seam can't be felt.
The head is connected to a white, plastic joint that connects to the flexible neck. The neck can be manipulated up to 45 degrees. The instructions warn that any extension greater than 45 degrees can damage the toy. With a little pressure, the head can move about the flexible neck. It is sturdy enough that it will not flop. It holds its shape.
The handle is made of plastic that tapers toward the end and then flares slightly at the control dial. The curve is ergonomic for the hands.
Again, this toy is great for beginners, those new to toys, and someone who wants a wand that can travel or withstand water. If you have no desire to travel with a wand and don't need it to be waterproof, there are better wands on the market available.
The design is simple and basic. Because it is designed for discretion, the Wanachi mini is smaller than most other wands you'll see. The head is about 2 inches long and about 1.5 inches in diameter. The handle is about 6 inches long.
About discretion: In terms of wands, the Wanachi mini is VERY discreet. It does not need a wall socket like the Hitachi. It is not loud, at a maximum sound of 2 bees. Some wands sound like planes taking off. It is also important to note the difference between a wand and other massagers. Wands have a handle, which saves your hands from directly experiencing the vibrations of the toy. They also add length and mass to the toy. There are smaller discreet massagers around, but they have no handle. In terms of wands and toys with handles, the Wanachi is VERY discreet.
This is perfect for those who prefer stronger clitoral stimulation and need to be discreet. With a blanket thrown over, the Wanachi mini cannot be heard beyond the door. It can also accompany you to the shower because it is waterproof. Because it has no charger or cord attached, it is more suitable for travel. The mini needs 2 AA batteries to run.
The controls for the Wanachi mini are a simple turn dial at the base of the toy.
The starting vibration is 1 Vroom and 1 Bee. The intensity is highest at about 4 Vrooms and 2 Bees. The turn dial is simple and easy to use. The controls are easy to use during solo play. I would recommend placing batteries in the Wanachi only prior to use. While this is recommended for most battery operated devices, the Wanachi turns on at the slightest turn of the dial. This will waste battery life and could cause an embarrassing situation, especially during travel.
After twisting off the bottom of the toy, you can see the little plastic/rubber ring that is there to prevent water from getting into the mini. I have not submerged my Wanachi completely. It has handled showers like a pro along with being half submerged with the bottom end above the water.
Overall, this toy should please the majority of clitorises. However, if you have a "clit o' steel" the Wanachi may not be for you. Also, the style of the head may make targeting the clitoris a task for some. However, that can be resolved over time with a little learning.
Being made of plastic and silicone and external use the Wanachi mini is a low maintenance toy. A wet wipe is enough for most cleanings. An occasional soap and water cleaning is also good to do. The neck can be a bit to clean, because it has ripples. The only part that seams to collect lint is the white neck. I have the blue Wanachi mini, so I don't see very much lint or debris collect on the toy.
Once the mini is cleaned and dry it can go into any storage or drawer.
Only water based lube should be used on the mini, since the head contains silicone.
The Wanachi mini came in a rectangular, thin cardboard packaging. It is not designed for long term storage. The packaging isn't very discreet, either.
The packaging comes with a single, small sheet of instructions. It contains a warning of not bending the head of the wand beyond 45 degrees either way (as mentioned previously). It also shows how to properly insert the batteries and recommends you do not remove the clear plastic in the battery container of the toy. This plastic shows how the batteries are to be inserted. The instructions also warn to close the mini tightly to ensure a waterproof seal. Overall, the instructions are succinct and informative to ensure the life of your toy.
I already own a Mystic Wand, but I decided to get a Wanachi because I wanted a wand that was waterproof and easy to carry around. It has a great price and came in a variety of colors. Especially blue! I am a sucker for blue toys. While simple, the Wanachi fits a variety of niches and works for massaging the back as well as other lovely places. The turn dial may be better for back massage because you have more control over the vibrations you receive (versus set vibrations by pressing a button).
As of late, my partner and I have been getting into shower sex. Because of this, we have been searching for toys that will add to our fun. The Wanachi mini has done just that. He loves it on his back muscles after a workout because he loves deeper, stronger massage (more than my hands and muscles can give him). Because of this, we are both very happy with the Wanachi mini :)
Follow-up commentaryI still like it3 months after original review
The Wanachi mini is a cute toy for what it is. It's a waterproof massager wand. It's also quite affordable for the Vrooms it gives. It has held up well through use and I have no complaints regarding its make. There appears to be no obvious degradation of the product.
However, this toy is probably going to go into the "never really used but don't want to throw out" toy box once I get a Lelo smart wand. That will fill my niche for a waterproof, wand toy.
