Mia Cornucopia: Orgasms of Plenty!

If you're in the market for a discreet, awesome vibe, then Mia is a great option for you. It's perfect for those in dorms and it can masquerade as a flash drive when charging. LELO has managed to keep their known quality while offering an affordable, orgasmic vibe.

Use

LELO was definitely onto something with the creation of Mia. It's only fair and right: as technology grows, so should the technology and sophistication of sex toys, right? Mia makes techie sexy with its USB charger. Now you can work and charge your sex toy at the same time. Also, due to the toy's discreet appearance (especially the black), it looks as harmless and innocuous as a flash drive. This makes it perfect for those who live with others or are in a dorm situation. Mia can't be taken into the shower, but it's quiet enough that you won't be heard beyond your closed door.

Mia is a great toy for beginners and even first time toy owners. It is not intimidating and still has the quality of a great toy company. It also holds allure for more advanced users as well since it carries a great look and a good strength. Mis is mainly a clitoral vibrator, but it can be used on any of the external erogenous zones. It can be used to stimulate the vaginal entrance, but it should not be used anally. It is too small and smooth; it could easily get lost.

Mia could be used in conjunction with other toys, such as a butt plug or dildo. Mia is also one of the best toys (I believe) for gift giving.

Material / Texture

Mia is primarily plastic. Plastic ranks an 8 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale. It is non porous, so bacteria cannot live inside the toy. It is also hypoallergenic and made of food grade materials. The plastic is hard and won't bend. This is great for pinpoint stimulation since Mia will stay where you put her. Even though one end has a rounded point, the other has a flat head with a pointed edge. The vibrations are a little more diffuse here, but it still provides great stimulation (just be gentle when using the sharper side). The plastic is shiny and smooth with next to no drag. Since Mia has some silicone parts, you should only use water based lube if you want a more effortless glide.

The silicone portion of Mia is the control pad. Silicone ranks a 10 out of 10 on the safety scale. To be safe, I would refrain from silicone lubricants. There is also what appears to be a metal band around the toy that separates the USB portion from the motor part. It is cool to the touch. There are no textures really and this makes it very beginner friendly.

There is a slight odor to Mia, but you have to put your nose to her to smell her. She has no taste.

Design / Shape / Size

Mia looks like either a jump drive or lipstick, and that's probably dependent on the color. She's mostly thin, but she has enough mass to make her comfortable to hold. Mia is 4.25 inches long and has an insertable length of an inch and a half. It's not designed for complete internal bliss, but that's okay since the entrance of the vagina has more nerve endings than the deeper parts. Mia's size makes her a great option for beginners. It has a desirable appearance and is classy. It screams "lady's vibe," in that any woman would want one, but it is not obviously a vibrator.

Mia is easily to travel with. Pop her in your makeup bag, tech bag, or even pop her in your pocket. She looks like a flash drive or cosmetic. She does not look like a sex toy. Her only potential give away is LELO's logo on one of her ends, but that is only if the person knows the company (and then you have to exchange congratulatory, knowing glances). Mia is also discreet in terms of sound. With a blanket over you, you will not be heard beyond a door. If some background noise is going on (people hustle and bustling, or a TV on in a neighboring room), you don't even need the blanket; just shut the door. it can't be taken in the shower, but still, if that was the case, this toy would be perfect.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Mia's controls are very easy to use. She has two buttons on her front: a plus and a minus. She's also lockable. To lock Mia, hold both her buttons for about five seconds. Her light will flash to show you it worked. To unlock it, simply do the same thing. Charging her also automatically unlocks her. To turn her on, hold the plus button for a couple of seconds. She will be on her lowest, standard vibration. It's a scale to increase the vibrations. The plus button will increase intensity and the minus will decrease it. The the highest intensity, Mia is a decent 4 Vrooms.

Mia also has what are called stimulation modes. There are four patterned modes. To access these, put her on her highest vibration setting. Than hold the plus button for a couple of seconds. The four patterns are as follows: pulse, faster pulse, even faster pulse, and rollar coaster. There's bound to be something for everyone.

Mia is a cinch to charge. You can plug her directly into your computer or anything that bears a USB port, or you can use the extension cord provided by LELO. If charging her directly into your computer, be careful with your computer so you don't accidentally snap her off. If you've done this with flash drives, the extension cord is your safest bet. You could also get an AC to USB adapter and plug her into the wall. She takes around an hour to charge. Her battery life is about a couple of hours for a charge, which is great considering her size. Mia is not waterproof, but for all her benefits, I don't see this as a deal breaker. My only other "not perfect" thing about Mia is that she has no quick off button.

Care and Maintenance

Care for Mia is pretty easy. You can use toy cleaner or wipes. Soap and water is also fine, just take care not to get water in her delicate parts. Debris comes off Mia easily. Once she is clean and dry, you can store her in her box or in the pouch she comes with. It's safest to only use water based lubricants with Mia. If you have OCD, fingerprint smudges might bother you since they are easy to see on her shiny plastic body. They can be wiped off with a shirt or cloth. lint does not collect on Mia.

Packaging

Mia basically has LELO's luxury packaging just done in a smaller version. The outer cardboard box is a lavender/purple color. Remove that to get to LELO's signature black box. Remove the lid on the box to see Mia. Beneath the tray she rests on is the warranty, instructions, extension USB cord, and LELO lubricant. The instructions are thorough and include how to use Mia as well as the do's and dont's. The warranty has two parts: the one year manufacturer warranty and the 10 year quality guarantee. LELO's 10 year quality guarantee will let you purchase a LELO toy 50 percent off.

Mia is a great gift and the box and pouch are perfect original packaging.

Experience

So, I've amassed of bit of a clitoral collection over my time at Eden. And the question is: where does Mia fit in the scheme of things? Mia is in a bit of a different class when comparing her to other clitoral vibes. She is one of the few (yet growing amount) of toys that charge via USB. She is rechargeable, but not waterproof. Generally when comparing clitoral vibes, I group them on their waterproofing and how they're powered. However, while Mia is not waterproof, she is less expensive than many of the elite waterproof, rechargeable clitoral vibes out there.

So where do I put Mia? If you're looking for that first clitoral vibe and you don't care about shower fun Mia is an excellent, quality choice. If shower fun is a requirement for you, then you might want to check out MiMi or the Salsa and Tango by We-Vibe. I personally think Leaf's Life is better than MiMi, but it is more expensive (so it depends on how important price is). All in all, you can't really go wrong with Mia. She's a great first choice and even a cool toy for collectors to own.
