Mediocre luxury remote vibrator
Good remote range, remote operation is unnecessarily complex and not great for discreet public play which is the main reason I got this toy.

Pros
Remote range, material
Cons
Remote operation
I've tried cheap remote vibrators before with my partner, and we've been disappointed so we decided to take the plunge on a higher end remote vibe with the Lyla 2. Overall it's decent, but I expected more given the price.
The remote range is very good, especially compared to others I've tried. It works reliably with the egg inserted under clothing, and the remote in a pocket at about 10-15 feet away, with fresh batteries and a full charge. It's the remote operation that I was disappointed in, the controls are far from intuitive and don't work as described in the product manual. The remote has a vibration function that can be turned off (presumably for public play since the remote is quite loud with the vibrations turned on) and according to the manual it is supposed to have a memory setting so that when the remote is turned off and then back on it "remembers" if you had the vibrations turned off. It does not work that way, and every time the remote is turned off and back on, it defaults back to the vibrations being on. This is especially troublesome since the primary reason we got a remote vibe was for playing discreetly in public, and this makes it more difficult. Also for this reason, I found the wide variety of remote operating modes and vibration patterns are rather unnecessary, and a simple on/off function would have been nice.
Apart from the remote issues, the material is very nice to the touch, and the parts seem to be well constructed. The vibrations in both the egg and the remote are fairly strong for a wireless toy of this small size. In addition to the two "sensemotion" operation modes, there are 10 intensity settings and six different vibration patterns in the traditional operation mode. Note that the 3 "bees" of noise refers to the remote, the egg is quieter and probably 2 "bees." The remote is however silent with the vibrations turned off.
