The Mystic Wand is best used for simulating the clitoris and vulva. You could also use it on any other external areas of the body. It would work for almost anyone but I wouldn't recommend it to people who need something very quiet, or who require a waterproof toy.

The head of the wand is made from matte, white silicone. It is non-porous, free of phthalates and latex, and hypoallergenic. There is ribbing on the side of the head which adds some stimulation.

The handle is made from velvety black plastic, which is easy to grip.

The Mystic Wand has a bulbous head attached to a handle by a flexible stem. It is 8 inches long and the head is 5 3/4 inches around. It isn't exactly tiny, but it's smaller than a lot of other wand style vibrators which makes it more discreet and easier to travel with.

The handle is contoured and easy to hold and the head stimulates a fairly wide area. There is some texture on the battery cap which makes it easy to screw on and off.

It's not what I would call attractive, but it's not ugly either. It is simple and looks classy and well-made.

This wand is powered by 4 AA batteries. It has 3 speeds of straight vibrations and 3 patterns: a fast pulsing, a short-short-long pulsation and an escalation. The vibrations are fairly low pitched. They're strong, but not ridiculously strong. It's definitely enough to get the job done. I can orgasm on medium, but I can also use it on the highest setting without it being too much. I was hoping for a toy that I couldn't use on the highest setting. Since I've yet to find anything too strong, I always wonder if toys would feel better with more power.

The vibrations are in the head of the wand and just barely travel into the handle, which means it doesn't numb my hand.

It's fairly loud and can be heard through a closed door, but it's not ear-shattering. Sometimes when the head is bent on an angle the motor seems to come into contact with the side of the head and becomes a bit louder.

The Mystic Wand has 2 buttons, a power button which turns it onto the lowest setting or turns it off with one touch, and a "F" button, which cycles through the functions.

It's not labeled as water proof, so I didn't try submerging it. It does have an o-ring and I was able to wash it under running water with no problems.

The manufacturer says to wipe the vibrator with a warm wet cloth and soap, or use toy cleaner, and keep the battery case and controls dry. I have washed my Mystic Wand under running water and had no problems. I just washed the head and kept the handle dry. The packaging also says that "petroleum-based lubricants are not recommended for your vibrator or your body, so we recommend water based lubes." and that "silicone toys should NOT be used with silicone lubes, as it will cause build up of residue."

The toy comes in an attractive clear plastic box with gold flowers printed on it. There is a red cardboard insert with product information on both sides. It also includes a velvet drawstring bag for storage, which unfortunately sheds fibers onto the head of the wand.
