The Envie Smooth Massager is the latest in the New Sensation's NS novelties line. It is categorized as a traditional vibrator but its shape and design make it ideal for all over body use. The tip of the toy is perfect for applying pin point vibrations to areas like the clit and nipples, and the keyhole handle makes not only a good thrusting handle, but you can easily slip it on your thumb laying it across your palm and use your fingers to grasp your partners manhood right up with the Envie, making Enive the perfect hand-job or blow job accessory. The Enive Smooth Massager is made from luxurious pink silicone and black plastic. Silicone is one of the safest materials that sex toys can be made from. It is hypo-allergenic, phthalates free, and completely non-porous. Silicone rates a 10 on the Eden Fantasys' safety scale. The plastic that the Enive's handle is made out of is a very safe material as well, it is also hypo allergenic, phthalates free and non-porous. Plastic rates an 8 on the safety scale. Silicone is nice because it retains heat very well, if you wanted to heat the Envie up before use you could do so by running under some warm water. It will also retain body heat well during use. The silicone has a slight drag to it against the skin which can be remedied by using a water based lubricant, no silicone based lubes with the Envie as it could ruin the wonderful smoothness of the silicone on the toy. The Envie is firm and ridged, the toy does not flex or bend at all. There was a slight odor upon receiving the Envie, but nothing that a good washing didn't take care of.

The shaft of the Enive starts out silky smooth for the first part of the insertable portion of the toy. Towards the bottom of the shaft there are 8 ridges in the silicone. The ridges help to stimulate the vaginal opening and lower part of the vagina where there are more nerve endings. The ridges here also make for some great texture for external stimulation of other erogenous zones. Those who are not a fan of texture may not find these ridges pleasurable. I personally rather enjoyed them, I don't think I would have liked if they went all the way up but at the base of the toy they are very nice.

The Enive is about 7.5 inches long, with 5 inches being insertable. On the pink silicone insertable portion of the Envie, the top 3.5 inches is smooth and the bottom 1.5 inches features 8 ridges in the silicone. The Envie has a slightly tapered tip for pin point stimulation and easy insertion. It bulges out to 4 inches in circumference at the top, narrows slightly to 3.5 inches in circumference and then widens back to 4 inches towards the base of the toy. While the Envie does not have an angled G-spot head the bulged head at the tip of the toy will provide excellent G-spot stimulation with a bit of leverage during use. I find that the tip and ridges on the shaft of the Envie work very well for external stimulation of the clit and labia, as well as for nipple teasing.

The black plastic handle at the base of the Envie is 2.5 inches wide with a 1 inch wide hole in the middle of it. The hole is lined in pink silicone. The keyhole in the base makes a perfect handle for manipulating the Envie either by yourself or with a partner. I really like this design concept that New Sensations has added in the whole Envie line. The design of the base also makes the Envie safe for anal play if you wished to use the Smooth Massager for anal penetration. The circular base acts as a flared base and you could use the keyhole to get a good grip, and for easy retrieval as well. At the bottom of the base is a indentation filled with pink silicone that runs the length of the bottom of the toy, this lights up in use.


The whole design of the Envie Smooth Massager is very attractive, I am not a fan of realistic phallus looking toys so I really gravitate towards more whimsical and artistic toys. And I like bright colors, especially pink! The Enive Smooth Massager fits my needs and wants in the style department perfectly.

This toy is powered by two AAA batteries. It is operated by a single button on the side of the base. The button controls both power and changes vibration patterns. Pressing the button once turns the toy on, pressing it repeatably cycles through the vibrations, holding it down for a few seconds turns off the Envie. Overall the vibrations are a 3 vroom intensity and 2 bees. It is quiet enough to use behind a close door and not have anyone on the other side hear your toy. There are seven different patterns of vibrations that the Enive Smooth Massager features, three are steady vibrations patterns and four are patterned vibrations. They are the following:

1. low steady vibration
2. medium steady vibration
3. high steady vibration
4. short pulses
5. short-short-long pulse pattern
6. building escalation from low to high
7. five really short pulses followed by a long pulse

While the toy is turned on, the silicone strip in the plastic on the bottom of the base illuminates. The light blinks and pulses along with the vibration patterns.

The vibration on the Envie is concentrated at the tip of the toy in the first bulge. This makes the tip of the toy excellent for pin point stimulation.

The Envie Smooth Massager is also waterproof according to New Sensations and the packaging it comes in. However, there is not the typical rubber o-ring located inside the battery compartment like most of my other waterproof toys. If you are going to use this one around water I highly suggest that make sure the cap is on tight and inspect the battery compartment for moisture after use. I am cautious with this one, I trust it for running under water when cleaning but I do not want to risk fully submerging in the water with use in the bath tub.

For cleaning the Envie can be washed with warm water and anti-bacterial soap, or your favorite toy cleaner. The Enive is waterproof, so cleaning is easy as you can safely run it under water with no worries. If you wish to disinfect the Enive you can do so by wiping down with a 10% bleach solution. Since the Enive is a vibrator with a motor and plastic parts no boiling or running through the dishwasher as both could destroy the toy. If you want to share your Envie with another person the Enive is made from non-porous materials, so you could safely do so after proper cleaning. You are going to want to make sure you only use water based lubricants with the Enive as it is silicone, silicone based lubes can bind with the surface of the silicone and ruin its texture. Do pay extra attention to the space between the ridges as lube and other liquids can accumulate in these spaces and require a little extra effort to get all the way clean.

The Envie Smooth Massager came in a pretty classy box. It was actually two boxes in one. The outer box had a picture of the toy along with some information, a bar code and a tab to hang it from a peg in a store. The outer box was more a sleeve that you could slide the inner box out of. The inner box was almost identical to the outer box but no bar code or hanging tab, and instead of a picture of the toy there was a window you could see the toy through. Once you opened the box the Envie was sitting in a black foam cut out, there was nothing else in the box with the toy. If you were considering giving this as a gift you could remove the more retail looking outbox and gift the toy in the inner box. The box also makes a good storage option if you don't mind that it is over twice the size of the toy.

Personally I love toys that can do double duty on a variety of erogenous zones and the Enive Smooth Massager has that ability. I can use it all over my body, but what I like most of all is that I can safely use it either vaginally or anally, as it is silicone, so non-porous and can be disinfected, and it has a base sufficient enough to prevent it from getting lost. I also really like to use toys with my partner, and the keyhole in the base of the Envie makes really easy for my partner to get a grip on the Envie and hone in on all the right spots.
