Love in a Pink Package
The Petite Couture Amorous is a fantastic addition to any collection and could easily become my go-to vibe! It was my first rabbit and I love it!

Pros
Great for beginners, Easy to use
Cons
Drains batteries quickly
People say you never forget your first love, and this friends, was my first rabbit. I do my homework before I make any purchase and this was no different. I have always liked the idea of a rabbit, but the idea of hard plastic poking sensitive and important areas of my body wasn't overly appealing. If you've ever had a less than stellar lover, I'm sure you can understand this. So, this rabbit seems like a nice option. Incidentally, while this is technically a rabbit, the rabbit portion of the Amorous is a little more like a bottle-nosed dolphin than a rabbit with ears.
I am a big fan of silicone. I love the velvety texture and the fact that it oh-so-easy to clean. Of course, the very small downside is that not all lubes are compatible with the Amorous. You should only be using water-based lubricants with this toy. As an added bonus, this vibe is waterproof (though I have never actually submerged it or used it in the shower), making it even easier to clean.
In regards to the vibrator itself, the rabbit vibrations are intense without being too much. There are seven vibration settings: the usual high, medium, and low; two pulsing settings; an escalation setting; and then a pulsing setting that is 3 short pulses followed by one long pulse. The buttons are located at the end of the vibe and are easy to locate and use. They are blue LED lights so that makes things simple to identify in the dark. Transition from one setting to the next is seamless and there is a separate button that controls rotation speed (there are three rotation settings: high, medium, and low). The rotation of the vibrator is lovely, happy little circles of pleasure but I generally use the two higher settings as the first rotation setting doesn't provide enough noticeable movement for me. The Amorous is a total of 9.5 inches long, the insertable portion is about 4.75 inches with a diameter that measures 1.25 inches, all of which I find delightfully comfortable.
Now for the downside: the Amorous seems to drain AAA batteries like you wouldn't believe. If you use only the vibration setting, you can get more time out of your batteries, but if you prefer to use the full functionality of this vibrator (and why wouldn't you?), you are going to need to buy the economy pack of batteries. A trick I discovered: if your batteries start to die in the middle of use, you can switch the rotation setting to off and still have a couple more minutes of vibration.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I still enjoy this vibrator. However, I find myself reaching for my rechargeable vibes more often. Still, with the rotations and vibrations, this remains among my favorites.

Congrats on your first review hun! I think for your first review, you've done quite well : ) That really stinks that it drains the batteries so quickly.. we usually buy the economy packs anyways though because we go through them so quick tee hee
