Li'l Buddy
Remote G is good for couples new to toys. It has an interesting shape for creative play! It's worth a shot while on sale.

I recently reviewed the Chandra, so I've been looking at "little helpers" lately. So far, the Remote G is better than the Chandra -- stronger, quieter, and more interesting. The shape lends itself to more creative play and insertion.
First, the box is nothing special -- your normal mid-range sex toy cardboard box. Remote G comes with 3 N batteries, which is convenient. Remote G didn't have any smell or taste coming out of the box, which I appreciate. The material is nice, PU (polyurethane) plastic which is hard. No squish here. It's easy to clean and doesn't attract lint.
Design-wise there's no texture, but the bulbous head is about 2 inches in circumference, narrowing to one inch, then flaring out again. The base is not flared, so I wouldn't personally recommend it for deeply penetrative anal play though there is a retrieval cord. I dislike the retrieval cord -- it's twine-like, kind of stiff and feels cheap on the whole. It gets in the way!
Don't get me wrong about anal. This li'l guy is quite nice for inserting just the tip in anal play, or just external, teasing sensations. The head is also great for stimulating the clit, with enough surface area for sensation coverage, yet strong enough pinpoint stimulation for ladies who like that. Don't mix the two, however, to avoid infections. Unfortunately, Remote G is not very good for G-spot stimulation unless your spot is quite shallow. The bent angle is also not very steep, so it won't provide much pressure against the G-spot, even if it is shallow.
I do like the idea that the Remote G's vibrator part is waterproof but the remote definitely isn't. Touching the remote to change settings or even turn it on or off seems to be an unaddressed issue (you'd be wet!).
Alternative uses -- I am so pleased to say that this is also a good couple's toy! The guy in my life is quite skittish about toys and not very enthusiastic about vibration, but he loved it! The curve of the Remote G lends itself very well to sitting at the base of the scrotum, pointing down to the perineum. You could also simply rub the tip over his balls, up the shaft and definitely around the glans! For boyfriends who would like a gentle introduction to toys and enjoy them with you, Remote G is a good option.
Comparisons -- I recently reviewed the Chandra and Remote G is the stronger of the two. Remote G is stronger than Chandra by about 1 vroom and doesn't slow down as play goes on. It's worth noting that Remote G is quieter than Chandra, which I like. Since there's a remote (duh!), those buttons are easier to reach than Chandra's, which is slightly awkwardly placed under the finger ring. Remote G also comes with 7 patterns: low, moderate, high and 4 patterns. Chandra's lack of patterns or variations in vibration are factors to consider.

Follow-up commentary

With continued use, I've noticed two bad things and one good thing. First the good -- the design has absolutely lived up to expectations and I find, as a lover of some penetration and clit stimulation, that the Remote G is very satisfying.
But, the bad things: this guy sucks up batteries. Definitely don't leave the batteries in while not in use. Also, despite not being used or stored with other toys and used with appropriate lubrication, the surface has some strange erosion. It looks almost like plastic-y peeling.
In conclusion, this is a great toy to buy on sale, but know that its good days are numbered.
