The Rebel Toyfriend is a small, g-spot vibrator by Toyfriend. It is shaped for g-spot stimulation, but can also be used for external play on the clitoris, nipples, penis, or other sensitive areas. There is no flared base and it is on the small side, so inserting this anally is not recommended. The Rebel is also waterproof for fun in the shower or tub. This vibrator seems to be designed with beginners in mind, although anyone can use and enjoy it.

The Rebel is made of silky silicone that is completely smooth. It is similar to the silicone that can be found on Lelo toys when it comes to how smooth this one is. However, as with most silicone toys, there is a slight drag which lube can help decrease. The only bit of texture, which may or may not be felt depending on how and if you insert it, is the word "tickler" that is on one side of the shaft. This smoothness makes it great for all users no matter how much one likes (or dislikes) texture. There is faint smell detectable when held up to the nose when it is first taken out of the package, but washing will take care of that. There is almost no give or squish to this silicone in the shaft. The head has a tiny bit of give and it only flexes a little bit, so it can be used to apply firm pressure.

The Rebel features a short, straight shaft that has a curved head at the top. This head is designed with g-spot stimulation in mind, however the shorter length may mean that it only works for those with shallow g-spots. In total, the Rebel is 5 inches long with 4 1/4 inches insertable and has a diameter of 1 1/8 inches. These measurements make this vibe very non-intimidating and would work well for someone who wants to try something for insertion for the first time. It also functions as a warm up toy for something larger. Depending on how large your hands/fingers are, you may end up losing a little bit of insertable length or have a bit of difficulty thrusting the way you would like.

The Rebel can easily be stored in one's drawer or even a purse for easy access, which makes it easy to travel with. However, it does look a bit like a sex toy due to the head, so it might not be discreet enough to keep out in the open. It also comes with a plastic stand that keeps the Rebel in a standing position when needed.

The Rebel runs on 1 N battery that is included with the toy. After putting the battery in, a simple push of the button on the bottom of the cap is all that is needed to turn on the Rebel. This vibe only has one speed that is fairly quiet and on the lower end of moderate in strength. It can be felt in the head and throughout the shaft. This is a quiet toy that is good for those times when you don't want people to hear what you are doing. It can be heard more when it is outside of the body, but once inserted it is a lot more quiet. The push button makes it easy to turn off in a hurry if needed.

There is no handle at the end of the Rebel, which takes away from the ease of use. Keeping it inside of the plastic stand may help, but this may take away from the insertable length.

I tested out how waterproof this toy is by submerging it in the sink and leaving it on for a few minutes. There was no water inside the battery compartment when I opened it up, so this one is good for under water play.

Silicone toys are non porous and easy to care for. A wash with soap and water, toy cleaner, or toy wipes works well. To sanitize the surface, you could wipe this one down with a 10% bleach solution. Take note that boiling should NOT be used because you could ruin the vibrating mechanism in the toy.

Silicone toys should only be used with water-based lubes for the safest results. However, if you really must use a silicone lube, then be sure to spot test it in an area that doesn't come in contact with your body during use.

The Rebel comes in a cardboard box that allows you to see the toy and has information about the toy on the back and sides. Inside of this, the Rebel sits in its own little plastic "pod" that holds the toy, the plastic stand, and the battery. This pod works well for storage because it keeps everything in one place. Also included is a booklet that shows the other toys from Toyfriend (in the original line). The box mentions that all you need to do to use the toy is to insert the battery and push the button, but that is all in regards to instructions for use. You could use this box for gift giving, but because there is a window it would be best if the person knew what they were getting.

For me, the Rebel does hit my g-spot, but in a teasing kind of way that makes another toy necessary in order to finish. It is as if the head simply "meets" the g-spot, but doesn't get into any meaningful conversation. With that being said, it is great for warm up and works for me both internally and externally. I find that I can't thrust or move this toy around as well as I would like because there is not a good place to grip, especially if lube gets on the end of the toy. Overall I enjoy this one, but personally I feel like it would be best for a beginner due to the size and the strength of vibrations.
