LED it Hummer its Love Song
The Hummer is a great toy for anyone who would like a toy that has more than one function, as this one can cup the clitoris or nose its way to your g-spot. It's very easy to use while being fairly quiet and strong. And knowing that the material will last as long as you'll enjoy the toy, this one is a great buy.

Pros
Very cute when glowing, strong and waterproof.
Cons
You might turn it on while trying to close the cap.
I've had a toy before that had an attachment just like that one, but in another material, and I was really curious to try this one. The cup side is used to cover the clitoral area and stimulate indirectly, and even if you like direct stimulation, it's not going to be frustrating. At least it wasn't for me, and I tend to move the toy slightly from side to side to add some motion. As for the little nose on the other side, it can be used to stimulate the g-spot, if you are good enough to find where it is; the surface is small and you need to have some idea of what you are doing.
The measurements on the product page are accurate, but note that the 1" diameter is measure at the neck of the toy. The cup is pretty large, almost 2" long from the outer borders, and it can nest my thumb easily. The toy is of a good size for me (consider that most of my toys are 1 1/2" and that I'm not a size queen). It would also be a toy that I could recommend for someone looking for a starting toy, especially since its use is oriented for both clitoral and g-spot stimulation, but I would suggest against deep penetration with that one as the nose might poke uncomfortably.
The toy functions with 2 AA batteries, which aren't included, and is surprisingly powerful. I guess that I'm always surprised at how well vibrations travel in that material compared to a silicone toy for instance. You turn it on and off using a dial at the base of the toy, and you have to turn it to go through the escalating power levels. In terms of power, it's strong enough to be easily stimulated, but it's not going to be as strong as some rechargeable toys out there. And for the noise level, it's definitely loud if you turn it on and that it is not in contact with anything (3/5), but is much quieter if you hold it against your hand or your body (more like 2/5).
It's true that the battery cap is not easy to close, because you have to align pieces of plastic, and one of them is longer than the other. The cap is sealed, which makes the toy waterproof; I washed it under running water and made it work in water, and it passed the test.
One interesting thing is that there is a LED associated with the power and intensity of this toy. I thought it would just seem like a cheap feature, but it did look very nice. Since the plastic is transparent, the light travels to the very tip and the whole toy seems to glow pink. I took a picture, and it's slightly out of focus, but the toy had to be working full speed to see how bright it would go.
This material is the easy to care for, which is something I really like with my toys. Plastic is very barely porous, hypo-allergenic, latex and phthalates free and can be cleaned with a toy cleaner, antibacterial soap and water or with rubbing alcohol. It is also compatible with both water-based and silicone-based lubricants. When you store this toy away, make sure to remove the batteries, and that will increase the longevity of your toy. This is something we should be doing with all our vibrators by the way.
Note: Yes, this toy can be inserted, even if the box says the opposite, it's just that all Cal Exotics toys aren't "legally" made to be inserted. You get my meaning?

Follow-up commentary
12 months after original review
I like having a few plastic toys around as the vibrations are often felt better than with some of my silicone vibrators. The LED effect is fun, but it wasn't a selling point for me. Mine is still working well, and I keep it close just in case.
