It Thrusts, Just Not How I Thrust

I really wanted to love this toy, I really did, but unfortunately it just didn't work for me the way I hoped. It is a fantastic toy, high quality, unique sensations, easy to care for, and it thrusts just like they advertise, it just doesn't thrust they way I thrust, which means it doesn't work for ME, that doesn't mean it won't work for you!

Below you can find a summary of my review which is also hosted off site here where you can find images and video to complement the written review.

When I started seeing the videos and promotions for the Stronic I knew I had to have it. Unlike many women, I prefer internal stimulation and thrusting to external stimulation. I’ve been intrigued by fucking machines but being a poor college kid I haven’t had the funds or access to try one, so when I first saw the Stronic Enis it seemed like a dream come true, it was a compact fucking machine that fit easily in my nightstand and that, although pricey, I could afford. The Stronic Enis uses new patented technology to actually THRUST in and out of the body, if I place it on a hard surface it will actually move across it, rather quickly actually, I have considered buying two so they could race. It can be used internally or externally vaginally but it should not be used anally.

Material / Texture

The body of the of the toy is made from high quality silicone which is my personal favorite material. It is body safe, hypoallergenic, pthalate free, and easily sanitized by washing it in a 10% bleach solution. Although silicone can be boiled or thrown in a dishwasher it is not recommended for toys with a motor as it will damage it. For regular cleaning you may just wipe it down with warm soap and water or a toy cleaner. The silicone shaft covers a hard plastic interior so the toy is firm everywhere except for at the very tip where it is somewhat flexible. There are no seams along the shaft but there is a pronounced gap between the plastic base and silicone shaft which makes me a little uncomfortable as it seems like the perfect trap for bacteria, lubricant, and other fluids. Fun Factory silicone is a velvety texture with quite a bit of drag. It collects lint and hair like a fiend and it eats up lube like no body’s business, considering the size I would recommend using a copious amount of water based lube. The base of the toy is plastic which can be wiped down with antibacterial soap and warm water.

Design / Shape / Size

The shaft of the toy is designed with a slightly lifted tip designed to stimulate the G-spot, there is about four inches before the shaft lifts upwards again in a ridge that they claim is designed to stimulate the clitoris, a design similar to many of their other toys, such as the G4 Tiger. I, like many other reviewers, have found that this small bump does not reach my clitoris but does provide a feeling of fullness at my vaginal opening. The head of the toy starts off relatively small with a circumference of about 4 inches and swells to about 5 inches around the center of the shaft. The insertable length measures about 3-4 inches which is perfect for stimulating the G-spot which is located just inside the vaginal opening. I wouldn't call this toy discrete but it is not hard to hide as it is only about a total of 9 inches in length.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Stronic has some of the nicest controls that I’ve seen, it features three large round buttons at the base, a (+), a (-), and a red button which reads (Fun). The buttons feel to be made of some sort of acrylic or plastic and are easy to depress but not so easy that I find myself pushing them accidentally. Push the (Fun) button to turn the toy on and begin the thrusting motion. While the toy does not make the rhythmic hum of a standard vibrator, it does make some noise, similar to a mechanized whir. It can be heard in use but not much through a blanket and certainly not through a door. Strangely, it begins in the middle, from here you may push (-) to access three moods which Fun Factory calls “algorithmic modes” which look a bit like a heartbeat. If instead you push (+) the toy will take you through three “constant modes” and three “dynamic modes.” If you reach the first or last pattern it does not cycle back to the beginning.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is very easy to clean, as it is waterproof so you don't need to worry about getting it near water. Simply wash it off with warm water and soap or a 10% bleach solution to fully sanitize between users. Pay special attention to the crevice between the silicone and plastic handle as fluids may accumulate here.

Packaging

The packaging is pretty standard for Fun Factory, although from what I hear the G4 line packages the charger for their Click n’ Charge separately, for the Stronic though, they were shipped together. The toy comes in a simple red and gold cardboard box with a sleeve over it displaying the toy. As much as I love companies with fancy packaging, I do appreciate the fact that I’m not paying for over the top packaging with Fun Factory. You could use the box as storage as it is relatively discrete with the outer sleeve removed but it is pretty large so if you’re limited on space you may want to store it elsewhere. Also included in the packaging is your standard safety manual that comes in all Click n’ Charge toys2 as well as a manual specifically for the Stronic Enis. One of the few complaints I have about the few Fun Factory toys I have tried is the manuals, they feature little images for things such as “waterproof” or my personal favorite “don’t stick this in your bum.” As cute as these little icons are, sometimes they can be a bit unclear so I would like to see more written instructions; proper use/care/and maintenance is important, it should be clear and easy to understand.

Experience

I was really excited for this toy, and the first time I used it I was left with a resounding meh. So the next time I sat down with my Stronic I got a little more creative. I started by loosening my grip and by doing that I allowed the toy to thrust more freely, I also pushed down onto the end so the tip could lift to better reach my G-spot. There really is a sweet spot when deciding how tight to hold your Stronic, too tight and it can’t thrust but too loose and it works it’s way out of my body. I also tried the Stronic clitorally and it was surprisingly arousing. I was able to rest against my clit and close my legs and let it go to work by itself. Hands free pleasure!

Before using the Stronic I couldn’t understand why they called it a pulsator while at the same time bragging that it thrust to provide stimulation, I was confused as to how “thrusting” and “pulsing” could be the same thing, but when the Stronic is on it’s fastest speeds it feels like one of the rumbliest vibrators I have ever felt. The vibration-like sensation is not incredibly strong, around a 2 or 3, but it is deeper and thuddier than anything I have ever used. I can feel the pulsation like sensations up through my pelvis and even in to my lower abdomen. On the slower modes it feels much more like it is thrusting, although not very strong. I don’t usually like patterns these were surprisingly pleasing, I particularly like the last one the best.

The feel of the Stronic truly is a unique sensation, and definitely nothing like any other toy I’ve used, but it didn’t quite work for me and I’ve put a lot of time in to figuring out why and I worked it out to three reasons:

1. It Doesn’t Thrust Like I Thrust- I’ll be honest, when I heard “thrusting dildo” I figured thrusting is thrusting, and I like thrusting so I’ll like this right? Wrong. While this toy offers short/fast thrusts that are not very powerful I prefer deeper, more powerful thrusts. In addition, the toys I am thrusting with are usually also vibrating, adding even more stimulation. Don’t get me wrong, the Stronic thrusts, and boy does it thrust, but it just doesn’t thrust how I thrust.
2. The Shape- While the entire shaft has a hard plastic base keeping it solid, the tip is soft and flexible, and unable to give the intense g-spot stimulation I crave. I prefer my G-spot toys to have a more bulbous head to focus the sensation internally, instead this toy it thin at the tip and swells at the base into what Fun Factory calls a “clitoral stimulator”. Lets get one thing straight, this does not stimulate the clit, not my clit, not anyone’s clit, stop lying to yourselves Fun Factory. What it does do is create a very full feeling at the vaginal opening and makes the toy feel much larger than it is. If you like the full sensation of taking a larger toy than this will be a perk for you, I on the other hand, prefer the larger portion of the toy to be deeper internally and have it be thinner around the base and this swollen base made me a bit uncomfortable.
3. The Material- If you know anything about me then you know I am a silicone fangirl, it’s just so deliciously soft and body safe. This silicone just has way too much drag for my taste, couple that with the size/shape issue and no matter how much lube I slathered on it just didn’t feel quite right.

Don’t get me wrong, the Stronic is not a bad toy, its a fantastic toy, just not for me. While the toy may not work for me, it has worked for many other bloggers and may just work for you too. The Stronic is high quality, unique, and does exactly what it is advertised, and does it well. I wouldn’t pay full price for it because it is very expensive but Eden Fantasys offers site-wide sales quite often as well as the points program which can help you get toys for cheap or even free! As for my Stronic? Well I’ll probably keep it around and pull it out every once in a while for it’s unique talents, but it won’t be used very often.
