The Original Bullet Vibe by Tantus is a standard bullet vibrator intended to be used with any of the Tantus sleeves or on its own as a clitoral stimulator. At 3 inches long, with 2 1/4 of those inches being insertable, it's just too small for vaginal or anal penetration. It's great for stimulating the nipples, chest, thighs and anywhere else you enjoy vibration. It can also be used on the testicles or penis shaft to share the fun with a male partner.



The Original Bullet can be used solo or with a partner, by beginners or more advanced users alike. It can also be used just about anywhere, too, because it's really quiet.

I can't find any information as to this being waterproof or not, but it does have an O-ring seal along the base. It should be fine in the shower, but I'd exercise caution in completely submerging it in the bathtub.

Original is made of a really rigid, silver-colored plastic with a purple-colored silicone push button control. Plastic is rated at an 8 out of 10 on Eden's Material Safety Guide which is pretty darn good, hygienically-speaking.

It also boasts that it's made of a food-grade material, is hypo-allergenic, latex-free, phthalates-free and is non-porous.

It's completely smooth in texture, save for the word 'Tantus' being etched into the plastic. It can easily be used by beginners just figuring out what they like in toys, because there's not much to it or it can be used by more advanced users that enjoy texture-free toys.

There's no taste or scent to Original whatsoever.

Original is a standard bullet vibrator. It's small and slim, measuring in at 3 inches long with a circumference of 2 1/2 inches. It's great for beginners or advanced users, especially those that are privacy-challenged. It's about the height of a Bic lighter and half the width, so it's easily hidden.



If someone were to stumble across it, there would be no mistaking what it is, so it's not exactly really discreet, but it's small enough to fit in any pocket, purse or bag with nobody knowing it's even there.

The tip of the bullet is pointy, which is a little off-putting. It's not sharp, but it's not exactly the most comfortable thing, either.

Original Bullet Vibe is pretty straightforward as far as use goes. It's operated by a push button on the screw-on cap base and powered by an N-1 battery (included). Push the button to turn it on and to cycle through the three settings. To power it off, press and hold the button for between 5 and 8 seconds. It seems to get stuck in the 'on' position, so unscrewing the cap is an alternative way to shut it off.

Functions:

1. Medium, steady vibration. (2 vrooms, 1 bee)
2. High, steady vibration. (3 vrooms, 2 bees)
3. Medium speed, long pulses. (2 vrooms, 2 bees)

This little bullet could stand to have a little more variety, but since most bullets only have one setting, this one has a leg up on the rest in that department.

Vibration can be felt throughout and extended use can cause your hand to feel a bit numb, but that feeling doesn't last long.

At most, it's about 2 bees so it's definitely quiet and cannot be heard through closed doors, but it can be heard if it touches anything other than skin. The whole bed seems to make a rumbley sound when the bullet accidentally touches it and it sounds like an electric razor against acrylic nails.

I can't find anything stating that Original is waterproof, but it has an O ring separating the screw-on base from the rest of the toy that acts as a seal. It probably shouldn't me submerged in the bathtub, but should be just fine in the shower from time to time. Just make sure that the base is screwed on tight.

Taking care of Original is really easy. Wash it with an anti-bacterial soap and hot water or wipe it down with a toy cleaner or isopropyl alcohol wipe. Let it air dry or dry it with a towel and store in any cool, dry place where you store toys.

The word 'Tantus' is engraved in the plastic and can catch a lot of dirt and dust, so a quick wipe down before use is a good idea.

Since it's plastic, it's compatible with water, silicone or oil-based lubricants, but the push button is silicone and is only compatible with water-based lubricants. If using oil or silicone lubes, be extra careful not to get it on the control or just use water-based lube and avoid that situation altogether.

Since it can't be sterilized, grab a condom or toy cover to cover it up if you plan on sharing it.

Original didn't come in any package that I've ever seen before. It just had a thin plastic wrap covering everything under the O ring and that was it. The base and control button were completely uncovered. It's certainly not discreet.



There were no instructions on care or maintenance. The plastic wrap can't be reused, it just has to be thrown out.

The packaging, or lack of packaging, was so off-putting that I considered not even using the bullet. It could have at least been in a sealed plastic baggie.

I played with it a bit just out of the 'package' and as I cycled through the settings, it took a while to realize that it didn't shut itself off after a certain number of clicks. It just keeps going and going. I tried holding the button for a few seconds, but that just changed the settings, so I ended up just unscrewing the cap. I went off in search of reviews for this (thank goodness there were already several written or I never would have known to hold it for longer to shut it off) to figure it out. I really don't think I should have to go in search of reviews to figure out how a toy is supposed to be turned off.

I picked out this bullet because I like small, discreet toys and it certainly delivered as far as those specifications go.After I got over the packaging and decided to give this a shot, I was pretty surprised that it had multiple settings that were actually fairly strong. It did what it was supposed to do, which is all I can really ask for, but it just isn't one of my go-to toys.
