The Crystal High Intensity Bullet 2 by California Exotic Novelties is an easy to use toy. Since it has a rubber o-ring on the battery compartment, this waterproof toy is perfect for use in a bath or shower.

The bullet can be enjoyed by beginners because of its compact size, and intermediate and advanced users may enjoy the wide range of vibration intensities. Users in all environments will appreciate how quiet this toy is.

This toy is fairly easy to use. The bullet has a single button on the base. This button is the on/off switch as well as the speed control. One press starts the vibrations off on low, and as you continue to hold the button it incrementally brings the bullet to the highest setting. To turn the bullet off, press the button once quickly. The bullet can be turned off while on any of the vibration intensities.

While on, a light on the control button flickers to coincide with the vibration intensity. The light remains solid once the highest intensity is achieved. This light could be helpful when controlled by a partner, since they will be able to see how intense the vibrations are for the user.

Some vibrations may be too strong for external use but can be enjoyed vaginally. This toy should not be used anally since there is not a flared base. The toy is made of plastic, which is an 8 on the Eden Safety scale. If sharing with a partner, this toy can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water, or by wiping it down with isopropyl alcohol.

This toy is odor and taste free, and is made from a shiny smooth plastic. Since this is a smooth toy, it is well suited for beginners. The vibrations travel very well through the material of this toy. Since this toy is plastic, it is very stiff, with no give whatsoever. There is no drag on this toy, and if lubricant is used, it will be especially slippery. The crystals toward the base of the bullet cannot be felt during use, since this area would generally not be inserted. There are no seams on the bullet. This toy could have been even more enjoyable if there was a bit of texture to it, but it performs well as-is.

The sleek design of this toy is very appealing.

The bullet is approximately 3.25" long (a bit longer than the size of a tube of lipstick), and between 0.5" and 0.75" in diameter (approximately the same diameter as a tube of lipstick). This size is especially good for beginners. The only change I would make to this product would be to make it a little longer or wider, to make gripping the toy a little bit easier.

This toy can be used in the dark or the light, which could be helpful when controlled by a partner, since they will be able to see how intense the vibrations are for the user.

The vibrations are steady and buzzy, and can be felt equally throughout the entire toy. Even though the vibrator did not create ripples when submerged in the water, this compact toy was decently powerful.

No water leaked into the battery compartment, even when completely submerged in the bathtub.

The battery compartment is easy to loosen and tighten. However, the AAA battery fits quite snugly in the compartment, so it is difficult to remove when not in use. There is a slip of paper inside the battery chamber that shows the proper way to insert the battery.

One drawback is that when you turn the massager back on, it does not pick up where the user left off during the previous use. For example, if turned off during medium intensity vibrations, it will begin at the lowest setting when turned back on.

The bullet is made of plastic, which is an 8 on the EdenFantasys Material Safety scale. It can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water or by wiping it down with isopropyl alcohol. This toy is waterproof, so it can be easily rinsed during cleaning. Due to the plastic material, this toy stays lint-free during storage. Wash toy before and after use.

If choosing to use a lubricant with this product, the packaging recommends using one that is water-based. When used externally for massage, this toy can be shared between partners. If using internally, however, clean as mentioned above. This product cannot be boiled for sterilization.

The packaging states that the battery should be removed when the toy is not in use. The toy could easily be stored in the packaging, toy pouch, or similar place.

The Crystal High Intensity Bullet 2 arrived in a clear plastic clamshell package. The toy is clearly visible through the packaging, so I would not consider this a discreet package. However, there are no half-naked ladies on the package. The back of the package has helpful information about the features and instructions about this toy.

The bullet has a thin, clear plastic wrapping around it. Be sure to remove this plastic wrapping before use, as it has hard, somewhat sharp edges that would not make for a pleasurable experience.

The front and the back of the packaging boasts "Safe and Pure." After consulting the Glossary and Measures PDF on the California Exotic website I found that this means, "Products with this designation are either phthalate-free, or comply with European Directive 2005/84/EC regarding the safe use of softeners (phthalates)."

Although I do not own the original Crystal High Intensity Bullet, I researched the original and compared the specifications for both below:

- The original has 4 out of 5 stars, while the Bullet 2 has only 3 out of 5 stars.

- The original has 4 Vrooms and 2 Bees, and the Bullet 2 has 3 Vrooms and 2 Bees.

- The original is available in 3 colors, and the Bullet 2 is available in 4.

- The original runs on an included N-1 battery, while the Bullet 2 runs on a AAA battery, which is not included.

- Both are listed on the 100 Top Bullets and Egg Vibrators popularity scale.

- Both are similar in price; at the time of this review, the original Crystal Bullet is only $1 more than the Crystal Bullet 2.

The obvious difference between the two is the shape of the bullet. The original Crystal High Intensity Bullet is more pointed at the tip, while the Crystal Bullet 2 has a rounded tip.

Upon opening this toy and removing the clear shrink-wrap plastic, I was curious to see how durable the gems on the bullet were. I used my fingernail to scratch around the crystals and was surprised that they appeared secure. The gems are set inside of the plastic, not glued on to the top. I'm sure there will come a time where the glue will give out and the gems will fall off, but the toy will still be perfectly usable.

Even though there were no instructions included in the packaging, the toy was easy to figure out. The battery compartment was easy to open, and stayed water-tight when submersed in the bathtub.

I was slightly disappointed with the size of this toy. Although it would be great for travel, it is small and difficult to hold comfortably for everyday use.

I was, however, impressed that the LED light on the on/off control flickered as the intensity increased. I used this toy solo, but I would imagine it would be fun during partner play.
