Impossible Imposter.

Everyone is asking the same question. I have worked on a design comparison, but was not able to offer more due to lack of experience. However, I can say this may be a look-a-like, but falls short of what I would expect to be compared to LELO. Overall, there is definitely power, but there are some slight design flaws and you may have to plug your ears to really enjoy your experience.

Use

The SportSheets Waterproof Silicone Vibrator is above all very similar to the appearance of the LELO brand of vibrators. However, this one falls a little short. As for the best use of this vibrator, I would suggest penetration or clitoral stimulation. You could use it for anal penetration, but with no base it may not be a safe route to go. You can use this toy pretty much anywhere, including the water since it is waterproof. Since the design of this toy is bulbed, it should be great for hitting the g-spot for most users during penetration. This vibrator, I would describe as a low cost, lower quality alternative to the LELO line.

Material / Texture

The material of the Waterproof Silicone Vibrator is mainly silicone, with a plastic control panel. Silicone is body safe, which is great for all users. Silicone is also a smooth material, but this vibrator does have a seam that runs along the length of the silicone portion and plastic portion. The seam is not an issue during play, but can be felt easily when holding onto the toy. The texture being smooth and non-porous, makes this a pleasant toy for anyone who can't handle ridges. There is no smell or taste with the silicone or plastic used in this product.

Design / Shape / Size

Although familiar to the ever-popular and loved Lelo product line-up and design, this differs greatly. I know this is what you have all been wondering, so let me tell you:

First. The Design.

Most Similar to Liv, the white grip/control area of the vibrator is plastic. There is a band of silver plating(also plastic) and the insertable portion is Silicone. The control panel is simple, an on/off button with a function-changing button directly above. This operation panel is slightly raised and easy to locate in the heat of the moment. Liv has almost a Joy-stick operation panel.

Second. The Shape.

The waterproof silicone vibrator is straight. There is no curvature at all, and while there is some slight flexibility within the shaft/insertable portion of the vibrator, work is involved in hitting your G-Spot. Liv, on the other hand was designed with a curvature made for reaching the G-Spot.

Third. The Size.

The waterproof silicone vibrator is the same as Liv as far as the insertable length of 4 1/2" is concerned; however, overall length is longer measuring 8 1/2", where Liv measures approximately 7". The circumference and diameter are slightly larger, and overall the waterproof silicone vibrator is a lighter choice of vibrator.

Overall, the design is similar, but also differs from the Lelo line. The size is adequate, and works well to accomplish stimulation. The design is somewhat ergonomic and not too large or too curved for a beginner. However, the battery compartment is definitely not the most friendly. It is a very difficult design to work with when replacing batteries. I see where they were definitely trying something unique and clever, but there was a major mistake made when designing the battery compartment.

To replace the batteries, you must twist and pull up. There is a disc that covers the batteries(possibly in an attempt to assure it's waterproof feature.) The problem I encountered was when inserting the batteries and trying to close the compartment. You must place the batteries in, line up the squares(which are two different sizes on either side), push down, and twist. This has to be done perfectly or you run the risk of crushing/breaking the cubes that help hold the compartment closed. It is a major hassle, and almost led me to not even continuing use of the toy.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The In The Shower Waterproof Silicone Vibrator, is just as the title says, waterproof. I have had no issues with submerging this vibrator in the water or just playing in the tub or shower. I wish that this was rechargeable, that way I would not have to deal with the over-complicated battery compartment, but the two AAA batteries it takes to operate this toy have held up nicely so far. The vibrations themselves are somewhat powerful but they can be felt relatively well throughout the toy, and subtly in the operation portion of the toy.

Occasionally though, during usage or over-usage(as it seems to worsen) there is a loud sound from the battery compartment, matching the vibrations felt throughout the toy. I am not sure if there is something loose somewhere or if it is just an overall design flaw of the vibrator, but it definitely makes the toy unusable if you have any children, roommates, or are trying to be sneaky what-so-ever. This sound, for me, takes the toy from being relatively quiet to a nuisance.

There are realistically 10 functions, and while some of these are fluctuating speeds and pulsating, they all feel relatively the same. There are three settings of solid vibration, followed by 7 variations of vibrations.

01. This is the strongest of the solid vibrations
02. The middle/average of the solid vibrations
03. The low of the solid vibrations
04. A gradual rumble from low to high
05. A mid to strong pulsating vibration
06. A fast-paced escalating vibration
07. An even faster-paced low-to-high vibration
08. A Slower-Paced escalating vibration
09. A steady lower vibration with bursts of a high vibration
10. A low rumbling vibration that pulses, similar to number 05, but softer.

Overall, the vibrations are decent for this toy, I just wish there was some differentiating between the vibrations during use.

Care and Maintenance

Since we a dealing with a waterproof toy here that is silicone and plastic, the clean up is a breeze. Soap, warm water, cleaning wipes or your favorite toy cleaner. I have been storing this in the clear casing it came in and cardboard box. Silicone, as many of us know, is compatible with water-based lubes and very body-safe.

Packaging

As I mentioned before, the vibrator came in a plastic holder, inside of a plastic box, inside of a cardboard box. It was very well protected, and other than the plastic support for the actual toy, the plastic box is sturdy and the cardboard box is even more sturdy. There were no instructions included inside the box. In fact, the only information about the vibrator at all was the title, letting us know it is waterproof, silicone, and 10 function vibrating.

Follow-up commentary
My opinion of this Silicone Vibrator has not changed. I still like it, but I really don't use it. I wish there was an option for I still feel the same about it. It wasn't that I did not like it to begin with. There are just some design flaws. The loud motor, for instance. Also, the battery compartment, though a great idea, is still somewhat of a hassle for me. However, I will keep this in my collection and maybe even continue to use it sometime, because if it weren't for the noise factor and lack of variety in vibration(which isn't super important to me) this would be a great toy!
