All in all, the Pearl Dreams Lover is great for the inexperienced and curious. It is small, discreet, and soft enough to provide a good introduction to the world of sex toys. For more experienced users who desire harder vibrations to get the job done, you may be disappointed and find this bullet to be good for foreplay at best. So, curious first timers, get on the ball and add this bullet to your first toys collection!

Pros
Flexible, small, discreet, easy to use.
Cons
Vibrations not strong enough, not enough insertable portion.
If you're not big on or wild about full on penetration while using a toy, the Pearl Dreams Lover is a toy that you may want to consider. The bullet itself provides stimulation to the clitoris and isn't really long enough to reach inside to stimulate the G-spot. The sleeve that comes with the bullet has dual heads for internal and external stimulation; however, the internal stimulation is limited to a small area just inside the vagina and is not wide spread due to how small the bullet is. If you aren't big on copious amounts of stimulation or are just beginning experimentation with sex toys, this is a bullet I would recommend you to begin with. It is not overly powerful and provides an introduction to vibrators and bullets. It may not send you into sky rocketing, mind blowing orgasms, but it does provide that fix that we all need from time to time.
When I opened the packaging of the Pearl Dreams Lover, I was pleasantly surprised that there was no odor that emanated from within. I was surprised, though, at how small the bullet is. I read the dimensions and such that are provided here on the website, but still I was amazed at how tiny it is in reality. The bullet fit perfectly in the palm of my hand and I have fairly small hands. I was pleased to see that the sleeve on the bullet could be removed, though it took me a bit of work to get the sleeve off the first time around. Suffice to say that if you are afraid of the sleeve slipping off during use, you need not fear. The sleeve is pretty secure on the bullet and isn't going anywhere unless you force it to. Touching the sleeve was interesting as it is extremely soft and not slick feeling. It didn't slip through my fingers as I flipped it about and just played with it in general.
The sleeve itself forks to provide two separate stimulation for the vagina and the clitoris. On the head that is used to stimulate the clitoris, there are small little bumps that tickle, so to speak, to add extra stimulation while in use. The end that is used for vaginal stimulation is ribbed so that it caresses the inner walls gently while in use. Both additions to the sleeve are extremely soft to the touch and made of the same material as the sleeve.
Though I am not a fan of this bullet, the design of the Lover is simple, quaint, and adorable. The fact that the head that is used to stimulate the clitoris is flexible adds a few brownie points to the sleeve all together. Having a rigid head on a bullet, in some instances, is not optimum and flexibility is desired. The shape of the bullet is straight. No curves or extra edges along the sides of the bullet are present, so stimulation is limited to the bumped and ribbed heads of the sleeve. As I stated before, the bullet is tiny and is suitable for travel as well as discretion. It does not make much noise and can be hidden easily under a pillow or in your purse.
Personally, the design of the toy with the dual heads for stimulation did not work for me. I contribute this factor, though, to the fact that I have been playing with toys for many years and have grown more accustomed to gaining my release through rather hard and intense vibrations. To me, this toy is better suited for foreplay or teasing for advanced users more so than for actual "getting off". My clitoris is rather desensitized and it takes quite a bit of effort for me to orgasm from clitoral stimulation as well as vaginal. Beginners, however, are a different story. If you are exploring toys for the first time or have issues with self penetration with traditional vibrators, I would recommend this bullet to you. The sleeve does have an extension for vaginal stimulation and it does not delve too deep into the vagina. The primary focus of the vibrations are in the head of the sleeve that stimulates the clitoris. It gives a bit of taste of vaginal penetration while having the clitoris stimulated. It really is a great beginners' toy.
The vibrations are primarily located in the bumpy head that is used to stimulate the clitoris. The insertable portion of the bullet does vibrate, though I did not find it to be as strong as the one in the rounded head. Down the shaft of the bullet there is little movement which made it difficult for me to really feel it working inside of my vagina. I felt the head working on my clitoris, but that was about it as far as stimulation goes. I liked, though, that the vibrations are easily controlled by a button at the bottom of the bullet. I counted three different vibration settings, but, to me, they all felt the same. As I said before, I'm very much desensitized and it takes quite a bit of vibration to get me going. The toy is quiet and discreet to use if you live at home or share an apartment with a friend.
Functionality is definitely a perk of this toy. It serves its purpose to stimulate those sensitive areas between the legs, though for me it did little to bring me to the edge of orgasm. If your main desire or use of this toy is for foreplay or teasing, then it is functional. If you are one who can achieve orgasm without much stimulation, then it is functional. If you enjoy small toys, then it is functional. Everyone is different and I am sure that I excluded something that someone gets off on, but that's just the general gist of the functionality.
When it comes to the best function of the bullet, I find that the flexibility makes it more functional and easier to use. The function that could be better is the vibration function itself. It just isn't that strong, to me at least, and may not be strong for others as well.
Washing the Pearl Dreams Lover is easy. Run a bit of warm water and clean the sleeve with antibacterial soft soap. Pat it dry with a towel and store it in your bedside table, purse, under your pillow, or wherever really. It is small enough to be hidden virtually anywhere you choose.

Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it4 months after original review
After giving this "little guy" a few more tries, I still find myself disappointed and aching for that release that I have yet to obtain from using this toy. If you're ultra sensitive and just starting out with toys, this vibrator will probably work wonders for you. Soft vibrations just don't cut it for me and I'm sad to say that the pearl dreams lover will never be the lover I want it to be.

LOL it's always good when it doesn't seem like you are opening an old coffin when getting a new toy! I'm glad this one doesn't have a retched smell. Good review

I know! I've been cautious ever since I was nearly knocked on my ass with the smell of the bit gag about a month ago. It was super traumatizing LOL.
Thanks, darling

Is it just me, or does that clit stimulator look like a weensy mushroom? Nice review
