This toy did nothing for me. I am not able to really even use it, because it doesn't stay on. The vibration and 'waving' are so weak that I barely felt them. Not to mention they don't even work together. This toy has an awesome design. I am just disappointed that it wasn't able to deliver. Rabbits just aren't for me.
This toy's intended use is for dual stimulation of the clitoris and g spot. The shaft stimulates the vagina while the bunny stimulates the clitoris. The gyrating discs should make for an interesting twist, but did nothing for me. It just looked like the normal rotation. I think this would be a good toy for the rabbit lovers or someone who does not need a lot of power. It would be a good first rabbit also, since it doesn't have bumps and nodes all over it like most rabbits do.
The DD4Play is made out of plastic and TPR. The base is plastic, and the rabbit and sleeve over the shaft are made of TPR. This feels different than TPR that I have felt before; it feels more like plastic to me actually. I have the Cunning Rabbit and that is a much softer feeling TPR. The discs in the middle of the shaft prevent you from being able to manipulate it into certain positions, but the TPR itself is very flexible. I really like the colors, and the swirled texture on the sides really add texture to the shaft.
DD4P measures 9" from top to bottom, with about 5" insertable length. It is about 1 1/2" in diameter, and the circumference is about 4 3/4". It is pretty loose where the rabbit is connected to the shaft. I feel like you could break it off with rough use. You can see the seam along the whole thing, and since it is clear you can see everything inside. Wires and all. The battery compartment has a "diamond" on the battery cap.
The batteries are really easy to figure out and install; you just twist the cap off and the plastic housing slides out. This toy takes 4 AAAs.
I think this toy is a good size if you are starting out. It is not too small and not too big, it is just right. Also the swirls replace the usual nubs that most rabbits have, and I personally did not like the nubs on the other rabbit that I had. They hurt.
Well, I was leery to get this because the first rabbit I ever tried was crap. This one is not much better, but I am convinced that rabbits are just not for me. The gyrating discs look like they would make an interesting feeling, but they seem to just rotate. The rabbit feels great on my clit, but it doesn't stay in place when thrusting. There is almost no power to this toy. The vibration has two settings: high and low. High is not even comparable to the low that some of my other toys have. The shaft kind of waves either one way or the other. It really looks to me like it is simply rotating, just with discs instead of beads.
Upon turning this toy on, you will see that it waves and vibrates at the same time. Until you touch it. This toy does not even work with the slightest amount of pressure applied. I did not even have to squeeze my PC muscles, and it shut off. All I did was put it in, and it stopped completely. Vibration and all. If you turn the vibration on only, it will stay on, but if you turn the rotation on either with the vibe or by itself, it doesn't work.
The whole point in rabbits is dual stimulation!
This toy can be stored with the rest of them; in your drawer, your box, its box. It is slightly porous but a little bit of soap and warm water will keep it clean. You can also use toy wipes. This is compatible with silicone or water based lubes. I don't think it would really work well during sex or with another toy, since it kind of covers the whole genital area. You should use a condom over the shaft of this toy if sharing or switching orifices.
This toy comes encased in a plastic cylinder. It is interesting- I have never seen packaging like that before. It could be a little bit bigger, as the toy and instructions were kind of packed in there with two plastic spacers on the top and bottom. The cover was on pretty tight, and it was kind of hard for me to get off. There is a piece of paper behind the rabbit which has a nice funky design on it. You could use the packaging for storage if you wanted to, but this wouldn't be ideal as a gift since it is not discreet.

Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it3 months after original review
I ended up giving this away to one of my girlfriends. She was aware that it can't be sterilized, etc. but truth is I only used, maybe twice tops? I was not impressed, and unfortunately I just don't think rabbits and I get a long very well. Hopefully someone else will be able to enjoy this one, because I really like the idea behind it!
