I Don't Get It

I've had my G-Ki for a few months and it was a decent, if mediocre, G-spot toy. This was until I found that the friction from the plastic bag I had stored it in caused the silicone, by one of the joints, to tear revealing the plastic joint underneath. I am unimpressed.

Use

I got the G-Ki after hearing all sorts of hype about how it was the "perfect G-spot toy," because you could adjust the angle, and I wanted to see if it lived up to all the billing. It...didn't. The buttons are hard to press, I feel the vibrations more in the handle than in the shaft, and the silicone felt rubbery and ate lube like a lube-eating monster. I think what really kicks it for me, though, is the fact that, after storing mine it its plastic bag in my toybox (which stays motionless on the floor) for perhaps a week, I took it out again to find that the silicone over the top joint had torn due to the friction applied by the plastic bag. This seems to be a rare thing, so bear in mind that this is where a lot of my negativity is coming from, and you may very well love this toy.

Material / Texture

The G-Ki is made of silicone, and it's made of the rubberiest, stickiest, most friction-happy, lint-collecting silicone that I've ever felt. I don't like it at all, as an insertable toy without a good amount of lube, I really think this could've been thought out better.

Design / Shape / Size

Here's the part that everybody talks about. The G-Ki has a design that lets you adjust the curve of the toy from "just vaguely curved" to "umbrella handle" by pressing down on the two distinctly labeled joints, bending them how you like, and letting them pop into place. This is the part of the G-Ki I very, very much like. I like toys I can tweak to suit my own anatomy, and I did find that if I curve it all the way in, I can leave the toy in place with the handle on my clit and it stays there. However, even on the highest setting, it's not strong enough to bring me off that way, so I didn't do that very often.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This is where things get annoying. The buttons on the G-Ki are really hard to press, because they appear to sink into the toy instead of rising out from it. Not the best idea, but I think that has more to do with the magnetic charger than anything else. There are two buttons, + and -. To turn it on, press the + button twice (and you'll want to hold the button down for a second or so each time to make sure), and then press the + and - buttons to go up and down between the speeds and patterns:

-Low constant (1 vroom)
-Medium constant (1.5 vrooms)
-High constant (2 vrooms)
-Higher constant (2.5 vrooms)
-Highest constant (3 vrooms)
-Highest slow pulses
-Highest fast pulses
-Smooth acceleration from Low to Highest
-Quick acceleration from High to Highest
-Really quick acceleration from High to Highest

Now, bear in mind that my vroom-perception is probably way different from most people, because it takes at least four to get me off, and the G-Ki wasn't really made for external stimulation. Even with that said, though, the vibrations are much more prominent in the handle than they are in the shaft. I guess that makes sense, because the shaft is full of all the gears and stuff that make the joints work, but at the same time, it can really numb your hand after a while.

To charge the G-Ki, you line up the circles on the charger with the two buttons, and make sure the light is on, or you probably have it on upside down. It's waterproof and submersible, and it's rather quiet, as well, which is good. Honestly, though, my fingers would typically hurt by the time I was done with this toy because of how sunken in the buttons are.

Care and Maintenance

The G-Ki can be cleaned with soap and water or toy cleaner. I'd recommend taking special care to clean around the control panel and buttons. You can sterilize it with a 10% bleach solution, but I'd be careful around the controls with this, and I wouldn't submerge it in bleach. It's a HUGE lint magnet, even when storing it in plastic, so I'd wash it before and after use (or perhaps just wipe it down before use, because it will probably somehow pick up lint between the sink and the chair/bed/wherever you use it). Also, you shouldn't use silicone lubricant, or put it on anything you wouldn't put a magnet on (like a computer).
