The Wisper Harmony is a traditional vibrator but with a smaller and more sleek design. We bought it when buying a selection of toys of various shapes and textures to see what would work well for us, because we were new to toys. I chose it because of its shape and size.

Wisper is designed to be used vaginally, but it can also be used to stimulate the clitoris, nipples, or almost anywhere else on the body. I would not recommend it for anal use because it does not have a flared base.

When using Wisper on the clitoris, I would recommend using the tip, which is where the majority of the vibrations can be felt. If you choose to use the Wisper on other parts of the body, you might wish to use the shaft since it will spread the vibrations over a larger area at one time.

We bought the Wisper in black because it had a classic look to it, and I'm very pleased with it. Made of hard plastic, it is smooth to the touch, almost slick even. The texture is great for both beginners and advanced users, however, the fact that the toy is rigid means that it might be too large for someone new to toys. It is important therefore that you compare the size information listed below with current toys that you enjoy, to see if this is too big for you.

I did not notice any smell or taste to this, and even when we've used it with scented lube, the smell does not stay with the toy.

The design is fascinating to me even when I hold it in my hands now. Because it is not your traditionally shaped vibrator, it would be easy to leave out and not worry about people knowing what it is.

The top is a bulb shaped tip that is approximate 1" in length and 3" in circumference. The shaft which is the main portion of the vibrator is almost 3" long and almost 4.5" in circumference at its widest point. This makes the diameter 1.25" at its widest point.

Of the total 6.25" length, 4.75" is considered insertable. However, my kegel muscles pulled it in further than that, and we had to work to get it back out.

The vibrations are mostly felt in the head/tip of this toy. There is a button at the bottom of the toy which controls which speed the vibrations are, and you must cycle completely through the speeds to turn the unit off. The controls are easy to use if you don't have lubricant on your hand, otherwise, because the toy is so slick, it might take you two hands to hold the toy and adjust the speed.

The vibrations feel more buzzy than deep. Also, my husband stated that the speeds seemed to be fast, faster, and fastest, because even the lowest speed seemed fast.

The toy did well when it was in water and it is waterproof.

I gave the toy 3 bees for sound because if you are holding it in your hand, it is not "whisper-quiet" by any means. However, once you have it under the covers, you will find that the sound level significantly decreases.

This toy needs 2 AAA batteries and there is a clip inside which holds them when you insert them. Make sure that you have the cover down tightly or the toy may not start.

This plastic toy is made of food grade material and is hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phthalates free. It can be easily washed with anti-bacterial soap and water, or your favorite toy cleaner since it is non-porous. Do not place it in boiling water or the dishwasher since it has a motor inside.

It doesn't pick up lint, but my pet rabbit did try to see if he could donate fur to the cause.

When it comes to lubrication, IF you need to use lubrication with this, you can use water based, oil based or silicone based lubes. We found that if we waited until I was warmed up, I almost did not need any lubrication at all. In fact, one time my kegels pulled the toy in, and we worried about if we would be able to get it back out.

We simply toss this in our toy case with other toys that can be intermingled. While I do recommend washing it before and after use, it doesn't collect lint and dust even when it is around other toys.

The first time we tried to use this, we made the mistake of trying before I was warmed up. My husband said that I kept complaining that the toy was "too hard" and "too pointy" and "too fast".

For future uses, we waited until I was more warmed up and ready to play, and we found that it worked out much better. We barely needed to use any lube with it, and I was better able to handle its inflexible girth. If you are used to flexible toys only, I would only recommend this if you normally use toys that are 1.5" in diameter or larger, because while this is smaller than that size, it does not have any give to it.

I was torn on how many stars to give this product and finally decided on four stars. Because this product is not designed for a special spot and is simply marketed as a traditional vibrator, I felt like they gave it adequate vibration for this style of toy and a very nice design. I made it only 4 stars because they need to make it longer for large women like myself whose kegels seem to "inhale" toys when playing.

We have not yet used this toy enough to need to change the batteries, and we've used it probably 2 hours or slightly longer. However, I did read where another reviewer stated that this unit guzzles battery power. That is something you may need to consider before buying this. We are switching over to rechargeable batteries for all our toys, because of the amount of batteries we go through on a weekly basis. (Yes, we play a LOT)
