The product page notes that Pleasure Egg is made of plastic and Velvet coating. The hard rigid plastic is covered with Velvet Cote to give a nicer feeling to the surface. It feels silky, velvety, appealing to our sense of touch. Trademarked Velvet Cote, also known as Rubber Cote, is one of the most affordable and widely used materials for sex toys. The remote control is made of hard plastic.

Velvet Cote and plastic are non-porous, hypoallergenic, and phthalates free. There isn't an unpleasant odor from either the Egg or remote control materials. And just so you'll know, vibrations carry very well through both Velvet Cote and plastic.

About half way between the middle and the rounded end of the Egg, the base, is the only change of the smooth surface - a very slight very narrow ridge circling around the Egg. It feels smooth and doesn't interfere with me palying solo or with my lover. It's actually the O-ring in the battery compartment which provides a water tight seal that's not quite flush with the Egg's surface.

The Egg is tapered at one end for smooth insertion. And at the opposite rounded end is the base with an attached cord. It fits comfortably in my hand making it easy to hide should I be walking around with it. And of course, wearing it is hiding it too, right?

Pleasure Egg is larger in girth at 4 1/2" than most of the eggs I have. My vagina is rather tight and not readily accepting of this size girth. I like how the size of this Egg feels once inside, but I do have to spend some time with a smaller vibe warming up, till my body craves a larger size.

A thin looped cord is attached on the rounded end, or base of the Egg. It appears to be a retrieval cord. I don't feel comfortable using it since the cord is rather thin for a retrieval cord. And, I can see the wires inside the clear cord that the remote transmits through to operate the Egg. So I use my Kegels to push the Egg out while gently pulling on the cord, very gently, to keep the cord connected.

The remote control is a lot smaller than the Egg and easily concealed in my hand, too, not that it needs to be hidden away. While the Egg does not look discreet, depending on who's looking, nothing about the remote will give away the sexy secrets of it or your egg-citing Egg (so sorry, just too easy to pass up, again[smiling]). You can slip it in a pocket or your handbag, just as you can with the Egg, when you can't leave home without it.

There's a clip hooked on one end of the remote control which can be removed. I've read that it's intended purpose is to clip the remote control to your keys. Not me. There isn't anything I want to clip it to.

For anyone who thinks this Egg looks like anal fun, stop. Do not use analy since there isn't a wide base to keep it from possibly getting sucked in.

Pleasure Egg offers 10 powerful, (yes, powerful!) and intense (yes, intense) multiple functions and speeds. They're are on the buzzy side and all but the first setting can be can be heard if you haven't inserted it. So you might want to turn on some music or maybe a TV to cover the noise if you're home. Store separately from other toys is my rule of thumb since some materials are not compatible with each other and can melt or bleed color onto other toys. And be sure to remove the batteries when storing to preserve their life and keep the battery compartment safe from any battery leaks.
