Let's just be honest with ourselves here. If you're buying a Hello Kitty vibrator, the major draw is...Hello Kitty. Whether you're a massive Hello Kitty fan or just enjoy the whimsy - or the taboo! - of putting a popular children's character down there, the character herself is the main attraction.

That said, I'll start this review with saying that the Hello Kitty vibrator is indeed adorable. Hello Kitty's cute little face has stood up to use, lubricant, and long play sessions, and doesn't seem any worse for wear. I posted a picture of myself holding up the vibrator on a social network for friends, and many of them mistook the product for a pen, candy dispenser, or other innocent item. This means that if it were to say, fall out of your backpack or purse, you could probably pass it off as something else if you wanted to, as long as it doesn't get turned on.

Part of the fun of owning this toy is the reactions other people have to it, from hysterical laughter to "I want one of those" to "wow you're a weirdo". It's a wonderful conversation piece.

As for use as an actual vibrator, that isn't half bad either! The toy is made of hard plastic, which rates well for safety. It can be used with pretty much any lubricant you like, and cleans easily with soap and water. The firm material does allow the vibrations to come through fairly well, so even though the motor isn't the strongest, it was actually better than I expected for something powered by a single battery. The vibrations are quite buzzy, though I find it's fun to play around with after using a softer toy as textural variety.

I will warn those who have roommates or kids that Hello Kitty is a bit of a loud bed partner. I wouldn't feel comfortable using this vibrator without cover noise even with my door closed.

In conclusion, there are a lot of better vibrators out there for actual play purposes, but this one makes a great addition to a collection for the novelty value and the sheer joy of knowing that you let Hello Kitty caress your... body parts.
