The Flash Flapper is an elastomer vibrator that vibrates, rotates, and lights up for a night (or day) of fun. It also comes with a detachable rabbit vibe for additional clitoral stimulation. Woohoo! It is large enough for vaginal or anal insertion, although the base isn't flared. Can be used by beginners or seasoned pros alike! It is not waterproof, but the detachable rabbit seems to be.
The Flash Flapper is made of polymer and while I'm not an avid fan of jelly-like products, it does seem like it will hold up under pressure. I noticed no smell aside from initially opening the package. It is ribbed down the shaft and flared at the head for an incredible feeling when it's inside of you. I always use a water-based lube and loved the feeling of the texture and shape when I used it.
The vibrator is 8" in length with 4" insertable. It is ribbed down the insertable area and the head is flared for added thrills. It lights up when you use it; I guess if you drop it, recovery should be easy. It is 1 5/8" in diameter. A nice, comfortable size for everyone. The head rotates so that if fully inserted, it massages your g-spot as well. It's a little loud, so it may be a little difficult to hide it when you are using it, but hey, who cares what others think anyway? Small enough to pack in an overnight bag and take it with you.
I like the idea of the slide controls to control vibrations and rotation, but the battery cover slides off pretty easily, which may be a problem. It uses four AAA batteries that are placed in the base in a side compartment (ugh, not sure that was the greatest idea). I love the rotating head...hmmm. It isn't waterproof as the battery compartment isn't sealed at all. The rabbit has a ring seal around the bullet. It is a little noisy, but nothing too bad, and it's easily muffled. The rabbit uses one AAAA battery.
I store most of my toys in the original packaging and this comes in a plastic box that I use for storage. Cleaning takes a little effort as you get fluids in between the ribbing, but warm water and soap seems to do the trick just fine, being careful not to get water in the battery compartment. Allow it to dry completely before storing. The same goes for cleaning the rabbit. I always use a water-based lube as it seems to be the safest and most compatible with most of my toys.
Both the vibrator and the rabbit come in plastic containers that you can reuse to store them in to keep them clean and lint free. As with most other jelly-like products, it does tend to pick up any dirt or lint that it comes in contact with so I would suggest keeping them covered when you aren't using them. There weren't instructions, but it wasn't hard to figure out.
I wasn't really sure about it when I first opened my package, but it turned out to work really well. The rabbit moves around too much and is a little hard to control, but I loved the vibe itself. It's really cute and lights up. I think it would make a nice gift for a shower or birthday for someone.
All in all, I was pleasantly surprised with the Flash Flapper. I was able to achieve a great orgasm in a short amount of time, and that's always a selling point for me.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it1 month after original review
This is still one of my favorites. The vibes are great and the rotations still do the trick. The slide cover on the battery compartment has gotten a little looser. The battery usage is good, not a guzzler. The only things I would change would be the battery cover and it takes a little bit to make sure that you clean it good in between the ribs.
