High quality and inexpensive

While the Lia G Bliss didn't knock my socks off, it was a much better toy than I was expecting to get. This would be an ideal toy for a beginner who wants to try several different types of stimulation for under $30. If you need a lot of power, something at least average in girth, or a firm g-spot tip this may not be for you, but it's still a welcome addition to my toy box because of how well it works externally.

Use

The Lia G Bliss is a silicone vibrator. It has one motor located close to the tip. It's waterproof and easy to use, and is actually fairly versatile.

The main use for this toy is vaginal insertion. The thin shaft makes it easy to insert and thrust with, but it's not quite stimulating enough to leave it in and 'rock' it. This toy does have a slight curve to the tip for g-spot stimulation, but it's not very intense.

If you want an anal safe toy, this is not your friend. The base of the toy is actually smaller than the tip, and it's not easy to keep a good grip on. This is a cute little toy, but the ER doctors probably wouldn't find it as cute to have to remove from you.

You also can use this toy externally. The tip can be used for pinpoint or fairly broad stimulation, and the textured shaft can be ran along the clit for extra oomph. This is also nice to use on the nipples and other erogenous zones.

If you're looking for a first toy as a couple this would actually be a pretty good bet. It's cheap, so if your partner destroys it because they don't like the idea or you decide you really don't like something about it you aren't out your savings. It's also great to use during oral, to tease as foreplay, and it's even a good length to use clitorally during sex.

I feel similarly about this being your first toy ever. If you don't want the break the bank, want to experiment with the different uses and settings, and want a material that's safe this is an awesome toy. While it's not number one on my 'newbie recommendation' list, this toy would be especially good if you're not used to penetration and want something on the thinner side.

This toy 100% passes Ryu's Dorm Seal Of Approval. It's waterproof, quiet enough that you can't hear it over the shower, and small enough to stash almost anywhere.

Material / Texture

The Lia G Bliss is made from silicone and plastic. These are both nice, safe materials, and the silicone shaft is something that I always look for in a toy. Silicone is my favorite because it's more flexible than plastic and glass, but just as safe.

Silicone is rated a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's nonporous and body safe, meaning that it won't leak gross chemicals into you and that bacteria can't live under the surface of the toy. It's flexible and soft, and usually has a bit of drag to it.

Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's very firm, and almost never has any drag to it at all. Plastic can't be boiled, so in order to disinfect this toy you should wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution.

Even though silicone is soft, most of this toy has little give to it because the silicone is over firm plastic. Right before the g-spot tip there is some give, where the plastic inside ends, but mainly just the g-spot tip has flex to it. The silicone does cause it to have a bit of drag, but the girth is thin so lube is not a must with this toy.

This toy comes in several colors, but I chose to get the deep blue. It's not super feminine, but it's also not super masculine. The handle is the same color as the silicone, but isn't as matte.

While the toy is totally smooth in material, there are several ripples in the shaft. They can be felt very slightly when it's used externally, just enough to let you know they're there, but not enough to irritate. They really can't be felt at all when inserted due to the small girth.

This toy is made of great, safe materials. It's very smooth and has little texture, and the color is very pretty. All users will appreciate the nice materials that this toy is made of.

Design / Shape / Size

The Lia G Bliss is pretty average in design, but a lot of people prefer toys that aren't super crazy. While there are other toys that resemble this one, I think that it's at the top of the 'cheap toys that are silicone, thin, and have a slight curve' class due to the quality.

The G Bliss is 6 inches long in total, with 4 of those being insertable. It's also about 4 inches around at the widest point, but it feels a bit thinner than that in use. Because of these measurements it's a bit smaller than the average penis. It shouldn't cause any size insecurities in the bedroom, and would be good for someone who's not used to insertion.

The g-spot tip doesn't really come off at an angle and isn't exactly very effective. The subtle, small curve makes it better at g-spotting than a straight vibrator, but the small size and mostly-straight shape make it worse than I anticipated.

While the design isn't great, I did enjoy it for clitoral stimulation. It can be used for fairly pinpoint stimulation with the tip, or the textured shaft can be used for broader stimulation.

I have average sized hands and was fine using this toy, but if you have large hands or fingers this may be difficult to operate, position, and keep a grip on, especially if you have lube-y fingers.

If you leave this out it's pretty obvious that it's a sex toy, especially with the obvious buttons. It's easy enough to stash it away in a drawer, under a pillow, or into a bag when you have company over. This toy is a good size and material to travel with, but may be too large to hide in a clutch or pocket.

In total, this toy is probably best for beginners or people who like very gentle g-spot stimulation. It's also not for size queens, and even as much of a girth wimp as I am I was wishing it felt a bit thicker internally.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Lia G Bliss surprised me with the variety of functions, power of the vibrations, and ease of accessing them. While it's no Hitachi, it packs quite a punch for a cheap, little toy.

This toy is controlled by two small, flat buttons on the base. There is a power button and a functions button. You press the power button to turn this toy on to low, and then press the functions button to cycle through the 10 settings. You can turn this toy off at any setting, and it will start back on low after you turn it back on. The settings are as follows:

1) Low (1.5 bees, .5 vrooms)
2) Medium (2.5 bees, 1 vroom)
3) High (low 4 bees, 2 vrooms)
4) BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ BZZZ
5) BZZZZZ BZ BZZZZZ BZ BZZZZZ
6) BZZZZZ BZ BZ BZZZZZZZ BZ BZ BZZZZZZ
7) bbb bzzz Bzzz BZZZZ bbb bzzzz Bzzz BZZZZ
8) bbbbbbBBBBBBZZZZZZ BZ BZ bbbbbbBBBBBZZZZZ BZ BZ
9) bbbbbbbBBBBBBZZZ BZ BZ ZZZZZZBBBBBBBbbbbbbbb
10) bbb BBB BZZZ bbbbbBBBBBBBZZZZZZ

Even though this toy has a lot of oomph, the vibrations are for sure more buzzy than rumbly, especially on the higher settings. This means that it's not as intense and deep as some other toys, but it's still more than enough power to get most people off externally.

The motor is located right before the tip begins to bend. This means it can be felt powerfully in the tip, but on high it does vibrate the handle substantially and it might numb your fingers if you're not careful.

If you're looking for a bath or shower companion this is a good toy. It's quiet, so it won't be heard over the shower, and is totally waterproof.

If you're looking for a toy with a lot of settings, quite a bit of power, and don't mind the less than intense curve and girth of this toy, it would be a good bet.

    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

This toy is pretty easy to clean and care for. The ridges do collect a bit of gunk but are very easy to clean, and I don't insert this toy in deep enough to catch gunk where the plastic meets the silicone. It's not too much of a lint magnet, so if you store it in a clean place you can just wash it after each use. I clean this toy with an antibacterial toy cleaner, but you can just as easily use soap and water or a toy wipe.

The best way to disinfect this toy is by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution. This should be done every time you switch users to prevent the spread of bacteria and infection.

Silicone should not be stored in contact with other silicone toys because the two could react together, especially if they're from different companies. Similarly, you should not use silicone based lube with silicone toys.

Packaging

The packaging for the Lia G Bliss is very basic, and almost identical to the other toys I've gotten from this brand. The front of the packaging has a few bubbles, the name of the toy, and the brand. It's also transparent, so you can easily see the toy that is inside of the box.

The side of the box has an image of the toys control panel, and the back just has a box with some points highlighting the features. It gives some basic information about the functions, batteries, and material. While it didn't come with any additional information, what was printed on the back was sufficient.

The box is fairly flimsy and is quite a bit larger than the toy, so it's not the best for storage. It has no lewd images on it, but it's also pretty clear what it's made for, so it would be a fine box to wrap up and give as a gift if the person receiving it was fine with getting a sex toy.

Experience

I got the Lia G Bliss to round out an order and because it was new. I wasn't expecting anything super classy or quality, but I was surprised because out of the 4 or so things I got in my order I liked this one the best.

It wasn't as girthy as I would have liked, and this is coming from the worlds biggest girth wimp, and I also wish it had a bit wider of a g-spot tip. None the less, I have found plenty of ways to use this toy.

The main way I enjoy this little guy is external stimulation. The small tip is great for pinpoint stimulation, and I really like the way that the shaft feels externally because of the texture. I usually just keep it on the first setting, but the patterns also are neat to play around with.

In total, I am giving this toy 4 out of 5 stars. While it didn't do anything WRONG, it also didn't do anything right for me internally. Unless you're really not used to penetration or have a SUPER easy to please g-spot, this may not be your new best friend for internal use.
Follow-up commentary
A few weeks after I published this review I managed to use this toy enough to kill it. There was no overheating or other issues before it died, and there really wasn't any warning. As no one else has had this problem, and I know a lot of people who use this toy (or one of the similar ones) regularly, I think that it may have been a design flaw with mine. Since then, Eden has sent me a replacement and it's as good a toy as ever!

I also recently got a lighter, and have been flame testing everything. This is a method to determine if your "100% silicone toy" is actually silicone, as it often is not. You'll all be happy to hear that there was no burning or degradation of material, just a slight change in the shine where I tested it.

In total, I still LOVE this toy. I have even ordered another one in a different style as a back up!
