Despite the rough start where I had to alter the battery pack in order to turn the power play bullet on, the power and multiple functions of this bullet have kept their excitement for me. However, if you are very sensitive, I would suggest another bullet with a wider range of intensities.
The power play bullet has a couple of functions. First and foremost, bullets are most often suggested for clitoral stimulation. However, for a bullet with some intensity behind it (such as the power play), a teaser function also comes into play. For instance, this bullet can be run from nipples, down thighs, and can even vibrate at the edge of your vaginal entrance.
On the other hand, the power play bullet is not really meant to be inserted, nor should it be used to stimulate the anus. Due to the fact that this material cannot be sterilized, even teasing around your back door isn't a use I'd suggest.
This toy is not entirely waterproof (the controller is only splashproof), but the bullet IS entirely waterproof. I have used my power play bullet in the shower with no issues, but I wouldn't suggest taking it into the bath. Solo women and couples are the most likely users for this item. Beginners may not be looking for this type of power from the start, but average and advanced users may be more interested and less intimidated.
The material of this bullet is PU coated plastic. It is nonporous, and it's phthalate free. It's also a 7/10 on the safety scale. The coating is leaves the power play with a smooth velvety feeling. The buttons on the controller do feel a little more rubbery, so they are easy to find even when playing in the dark. There is a very light smell to the power play upon opening it. It also has no taste. The bullet itself is smooth except for a seam that runs horizontal in the middle. However, you most likely won't feel this seam.

Once again, there is a seam on the bullet, which is unlikely to be felt. However, I would prefer something without a seam for other reasons. There are two buttons on the controller. One is an on and off button, and the other says 7X underneath for the seven different patterns offered. The patterns are something like this:
1. Plain vibration
2. Pulsing
3. Slower pulsing followed by a period of vibration followed by faster vibration....repeat
4. Long pulses followed by short pulses.
5. Vibration (doesn't feel that different from the 1st option for me)
6. A few quick pulses in series followed by longer ones.
7. Several super fast pulses followed by a strong vibration
The controller is easily held, but the cord is somewhat short (especially considering that the bullet is waterproof, but the controller is only splashproof). In addition, the vibrations make your fingers numb because they are somewhat buzzy.
The seven functions were already discussed somewhat in the design concept. Still, I feel like I should mention that if your fingers do become numb, a different setting might help. The vibrations do carry through the bullet as well...maybe too well, which is why my fingers start to tune out. I also wish that the controller wasn't such a mess. While I enjoy the push button, pop out battery case idea, it hurts the function of this bullet. The first time, I had to bend the metal clips of the battery case in order to get it to turn on. The power play is noisy, and it can probably be heard through a closed door. Finally, it does function in the shower just fine for me, but I wouldn't submerge it due to the seam, the short cord, and the controller.
On the product page, it is recommended that this item be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water or with toy cleaner. The seam may be harder to clean, and it may require a toothbrush. Both water and silicone-based lubricants are compatible with this item. This is relatively easy to store because it doesn't melt or attract lint, but I dislike the pop open plastic packaging. It's clear, so it is not discreet, it's cheap, and it takes up too much space.
I personally had to deduct one star for the initial issue that I had with the battery compartment as well as the numb fingers. Otherwise, I found that I really enjoyed the intensity of this bullet. I have been pretty rough on the cord as well without any negative results. The 3 AAA batteries do kind of disappoint me because I always have AA around, and I also seem to replace triple A batteries more in the toy aspect of use.
Follow-up commentaryI don't like it anymore8 days after original review
Since my original review, I've had to adjust the metal pieces for the battery compartment several times. I'm finding it harder to actually click the pop out compartment back into place as well. Basically, if the battery pack could be fixed on this design, it might have a fighting chance.

Thanks for sharing. It'd be nice if this bullet took AA instead of AAA. Also, it sucks that you kept having to fix the metal pieces in the battery compartment.. If it were me with this toy, I would've tossed it the first time the metal pieces broke. Lol.. I'm too lazy to go fixing things.
