This toy is strictly a clitoral vibe-or if you get the extra attachments- it can sometimes be used for anal play too. While you can insert the tips vaginally, there's just not much of a point--they're too narrow for much enjoyment on the inside.

But on the outside? Ho-lee-cow. There's nothing quite like this baby's vibrations. While I never would have known that it vibes side to side instead of all over, I found that the vibrations are noticeably different from any other vibrator I've ever used. Other vibes will usually begin to chafe/irritate my skin if used for long periods of time, but this one NEVER does. Plus, there's something mind-bendingly deep about the way it feels, even when used on the outside.

Although the unit itself is rather bulky, the wand-like tips are long-ish and narrow, meaning that this toy can be used in conjunction with other toys. I've never used it with another person in the mix, but I imagine that some creative positioning would allow for this to be used during couples play as well.

The material is hard plastic, although the tips have some give and limited flexibility. The tips are all removable, making this toy hands-down the easiest-to-clean that I've ever owned. Just pull the tip off and wash it in the sink, let it dry, and voila. Easy as pie!

Speaking of texture, the basic kit comes with three different tips that all feature different textures. Although I occasionally switch it up, I usually stick to my favorite, the "cluster of grapes" looking tip. This one features little plastic nubs all over the tip that feel awesome when it's flicking away.

The other two tips feature a smooth, concave "cup" for, I assume, fitting over the clitoris or nipples. The third is a spoon-like tip with a little nub where, I assume, the clitoris goes.

The biggest drawback to this toy, in my opinion, is that it's big and a little heavy for a clitoral vibe. Its size and shape make it difficult for extended use--but for me that's not really a drawback, because this baby gets me where I want to go in a fraction of the time other toys do. In fact, I often wait to break this one out until I've had my fun "pre-gaming," shall we say, because it's pretty much an instant orgasm.

Because of its size, it's not a terribly discreet toy and, unless you have a toy box or drawer, not very easy to hide away. It's also not the most attractive thing ever--when I first got mine I made a face, because I kind of felt like I didn't want to touch myself with something that ugly. Seriously, who decided on that weird copper/gold semi-metallic color scheme? Ugh. With t3ehat said, beauty really is only skin deep, and I urge you not to make decisions based on its design. Because if ever there was a toy to prove that you shouldn't judge books by their covers, this is it. While it may not look pretty, it's the best friend you'll ever have.

The Eroscillator has three vibration settings. Personally, they range from "normal," "strong," and "holy shit." This will, of course, vary from user to user, but I find it plenty strong enough for my purposes, particularly since it's intended mainly as a clitoral vibrator. The settings are controlled by a sliding switch on the base unit, which has just enough resistance to keep from slipping by accident to a higher or lower setting at a pivotal moment, but is also easy enough to change with one finger.

Given its size and strength of vibration, this toy is actually quieter than most of my other toys. It's quiet enough that I feel comfortable using it when other people are around, and leaving them none the wiser.

Because the tips that actually touch your body are removable, this toy is incredibly easy to clean and care for even though it's not at all waterproof because it is a plug-in toy. The plastic means it's very safe and hygienic, and cleans easily with a little soap or toy cleaner and water.

I had this toy for about three years before I tried taking it overseas with me, and I broke it by using it with a power adapter for a foreign outlet that didn't work, and ended up frying the unit. That said, three years is a pretty good life span for any toy, and as my favorite one, it saw a lot of use. I think it would've lasted a lot longer if I hadn't tried to take it with me! I just couldn't imagine three months abroad without this baby. Lesson learned, however, the toy does not travel well outside the country!

I've just bought myself a new one, though. It's worth it.

The toy came in a nice, compact, red cardboard box. The box could be used for storage, as it's reclosable, but I have my own storage box, so I just use that.
