Okay, I know, I know - this toy doesn't look like anything special. I know it looks exactly like a million other vibrators. I know this is the type of vibrator that everyone starts out with, and you're sure you don't need another one. You couldn't be more wrong. This toy is the reason why the phrase "Looks can be deceiving" was started to begin with.


I wasn't sure what I was expecting with this toy. When I was offered the chance to try it, I figured it would be just like several other vibrators I've tried before, including my first one. I missed the simplicity of a vibe like this, and decided to give it a chance. Well, boy was I surprised when I actually took this thing for a couple of test runs!


First off, the packaging was just perfect. The outside of the box was just a simple box, nothing too extravagant. The inside of the box is just perfect though. Not only is your vibe held in place perfectly, but the batteries are held snuggly too! That's right! This toy comes with the batteries as well. With all the batteries I go through per week, I am always happy when the batteries come with the toy. I think that the box is a bit too clunky to store the toy in, but you could if you desired. It would definitely save you some space in your toybox to just recycle the box though.


The toy is made from hard ABS plastic, and 7"long by 1/1.4" wide. This toy is best used vaginally, or externally. I really don't recommend using this toy anally because it has no base to protect it from sliding into the anus.

Mild soap and water should do the trick for sanitizing your new Smoothie nicely. You could also use a toy cleaner, or a 10% bleach solution. The Iconic Smoothie is compatible with all types of lube. So use any you'd like.

A word to the discreet: this toy is loud! If you have room mates you may want to have some music playing, or the TV on so that you are less likely to be heard.


Using this toy out of the water, I was totally blown away! This toy is so much more powerful than its slimline body lets on. When I first turned it on, I was pleasantly surprised by just how much vibration you get from this tiny toy. Its slim body fits in really easily, and feels amazing. It has a dial on the bottom to adjust the vibrations. The closer to the right you turn it, the higher the vibrations will be.

If you are in the market for a really simple to operate vibe, with decent vibrations, this is your toy. If you want a waterproof toy, I'm afraid this toy was a bust for us. According to the Jimmy Jane website, *as well as the box!* this toy is not only waterproof, but bath friendly. For us, not so much. We decided to bring the toy into the tub for some bath time fun, and it worked great - for about twenty minutes. Then we noticed this sick "hissing" noise from inside the toy! It had managed to trap water inside the battery compartment! To be fair, we were both a bit nervous about submerging the toy to begin with because it didn't LOOK water tight. There are no "O" rings or anything. We gave it a shot anyway though, and when we opened up the vibe, we found that there was ALREADY rust inside the battery compartment. We took the battery case out of the middle of the toy, and found that there was a mass of water beneath that! After letting the toy dry out over night on a towel, it worked fine when we put it back together. However, I really would not recommend submerging the toy after that, and I don't personally plan to do it again.

The iconic smoothie is much slimmer than most other internal vibrators I own. It is definitely not a "size queen" kind of toy, but I've found that it actually works great for me as a g-spot toy if I am at the right angle. I know that doesn't sound right, considering that there is no curve to this toy at all, but my g-spot is fairly shallow and if I angle myself the right way, I can hit it with the Iconic Smoothie. This will undoubtedly not work for everyone, but I think that if your g-spot is shallow, you may have luck with this too.

This is still a quality vibrator that hasn't quit on me yet. I highly recommend it, as long as you aren't getting it because it says it is waterproof.
